Not as bad as me. I used it on a Stunktank (or whatever it was) because I thought it was the ultimate badass pokemon or something like that when I was 9.
Unown - I used my masterball on it because I wanted all of them and thought you could release the pokemon after to get it back. So I didn't even managed to keep the unown. FML. I was like 7.
@@nightshroud9671 Not really, because in Sun & Moon, all the pokemon in the PC are sent to the Poke Pelago, where they are concious, which is why you can enslave them to farm and spelunk for you.
The Parcel Ghetsis actually had some sort of chanting in his. and his made you feel like "Oh Fuck." and then that hydreigon comes out then its "OH FUUUCK"
This is probably one of the most interesting legendary themes in the whole series from a compositional standpoint. Quite a few time signature changes, antiphonal dialogue and extreme mood shifts in this one. Love it. 1:31 where it switches to 7/8 time is my favourite part. I also love how the Spear Pillar area theme is developed in the legendary theme, hooray for leitmotifs!
+LittleBiglsteele Probably. It's the small hints that give away whether remakes are being made. For example in diamond and pearl there was the red gyarados show going on in the very beginning of the game. That alludes to the lake of rage event in GSC. The second hint was when Jasmine was randomly in Sunyshore city giving away HM Waterfall. From that, it was likely there was a GSC remake. Idk if there will be any obvious clues or not.

A Pokemon game on the Switch is starting to sound more and more realistic. However I don't think they will make a remake like this. If they make a Switch game I think I'll be more like a reboot or something.
Brian Alleyne I never realized what was so bad about this gen that people hated. I am guessing the same complaints Gen 5 and Gen 6 got/are getting about the Pokemon designs...I don't remember any trashbag and key Pokemon in Gen 4,or anything on that caliber. Also,am i the only one that wants Gen 7 to have evolutions to old Pokemon, like Gen 4? It was a thing i really disliked about Gen 5 and 6,the fact that no old Pokemon got new evolutions. No,Mega Evolutions don't count
@@InkMossDragon *Gravity. Gravity warps time and space, and anti-matter is instantly annihilated when it comes in contact with matter, meaning you would instantly die upon entering the distortion world if that was the case.
@@julienken2083 no it’s Anti-Matter. You can even look this up. The gravity thing is a fan mate theory that was made by Gnoggin. A damn good one but not the official one.
All of the remake songs are light. My biggest problem is the bass is far too low and the small details the original songs had were removed in the remake. :(
We will finally hear D/P OST in HD. Speaking of sinnoh ost, considering pokemon legends is based off sinnoh, wonder how the composers will incorporate some of the tracks of gen 4 into the game.
Most legendary themes are "hardcore". And very intense. However, this theme has the perfect balance of intensity and elegance. This theme is the most migestic legendary theme in my opinion (Ho-oh's theme is a close second).
I actually love how the theme doesn't portray the Time-Space duo as terrifying monsters, or as titans who can cause severe cataclysm. Instead the beat of the theme portrayed them as gods and deities with class and elegance. They didn't want to destroy the world or hurt anyone even if they can do so.
@@krimorant Would probably prefer 'Greedy' Gamefreak if it meant we'd get remakes that look like effort was put into them as opposed to 'Non Greedy' ILCA that gives us what looks like simple 1080p patches for the original games. You can't look at these remakes and tell me that they wouldn't work perfectly on a 3DS
1:05 this theme is genius because of this part. It shows you a theme can slap while still being so simple. All it does is pitch shift up and down and slowly add more pianos. Amazing.
*Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum:" Dialga: Pretty chill dude Palkia: Pretty chill dude. *Pokémon Mystery Dungeon:* Dialga: Rampaging time-god that destroys anyone with a single Roar of Time. Palkia: Just breaks into your house and kidnaps you. Then tries to murder you.
I know I'm a little late to the party now, but after hearing the remastered version of this theme in Legends Arceus, I appreciate the timespace duo more than ever. That new version of the theme is definitely my favorite, but I have a new-found respect for this theme in general.
@@MariOmor1 I'd have to say the normal one. I really like how divine it sounds, and that's very fitting for these legendaries. The Origin one is very fun to listen to though! Both versions are great and compliment eachother well tbh.
Damn I love this theme. The intro just hits me in the feels for some reason. The piano sounding tune I just LOOOVE. The theme itself isn't in your face or anything. It's just a theme I adore because it's great to listen too. 4th gen is my 2nd favorite generation, and while I can't remember a lot of the music in the game...This one sticks out the most.
If they're essentially gods, I wonder what the climax would look like from their point of view... "Palkia, there's a dead human on our mountain!" "Oh hey! How did he get here??" "Palkia, what did you do??" "Me? Uh eh I didn't do this." "Explain what happened, Palkia!" "I've never seen him before in my life." "Why did you kill this person, Palkia?" "I do not kill people. That is, that is my least favorite thing to do." "Tell me, Palkia, exactly what you were doing before I got home." "Ok well I was upstairs" "Yes" "Sitting in my dimension" "Go on" "Maintaining the flow of space" "Ok" "And well, this guy walked up with a red chain" "Yes" "So I went up to him" "Uh huh" "And I uh, I sent his internal organs to another dimension." ... "Palkia, that kills people!" "Oh! I uh, I didn't know that." "How could you not know that??" "Yeah I'm in the wrong here. I suck."
I really love how this track lacks the aggression and darkness of Giratina's as they're not underworld creatures, however it has its fair share of critical dissonances to it so as not to forget these two will kick your butt nicely too.
Oh i think i know why they kept using the old themes on some legendary pokemons. remember that hoopa can like transport something out of space and time? and it used that to transport some legendries form other regions to hoenn? well its like pulling them out of their time line. thats why the theme is old because these legendaries exist in their respective generations using their themes in those generetions.
Gen 4 gets a lot of hate, but I probably have the most fun with Platinum (probably tied with HG actually) out of all the Pokemon games. This gen has lots of meaning to me, meaning D/P/Pt/HG and SS. It was the gen when all my friends would have sleepovers to play Platinum and the HG/SS when they came out. It was the gen when I started to take more seriously competitive battling. The music is the best in the series imo too. It's like how people like gen 3 for the trumpet. It's something about the deep bass in most of gen 4's songs, and the electric guitars that really stir me up inside. I'm looking forward to OR/AS, but I'm looking even more forward to D/P remakes!
Sinnoh is my favourite region, the concept of Mt.Coronet slowly becoming more and more revealed to you and it dividing the land is rad. It also has the one thing Hoenn lacks, a comfy ass snow area. Also Cynthia was pretty challenging I guess. I think PT is my all time favourite, it fixed D/P's issues majorly
First pokemon game i played. Still think sinnoh music beats all others - case and point cynthias theme - best of the champions' themes by far. Srongest also, her garchomp was SOOOOO beast
Point taken. However, I implore you to listen to FireRed/LeafGreen. Even if you’re not crazy/nostalgic about their soundtracks, you must admit that they did a lot with those basic themes from Gen. I, especially considering this was the first generation they could handle more than three different instruments and they could’ve done a bajillion things wrong.
Someone said this, I can’t remember who, but I think it’s a pretty cool idea that’s worth spreading; that Dialga’s heartbeat may be similar to the ticking of a clock, given that time flows to its heartbeat. By the way, this music is awesome; it captures the variety of emotions and themes that are in getting the opportunity to battle deities of space and time. It’s dangerous and distorted, but at the same time, it’s an exciting and beautiful experience.
Excellent comment, I didn't realize how this theme describes these "heartbeats" of the legendaries. The pitch varying up and down could be an allusion to that, the distortion that happens may mention Palkia and the "tic tacs" may be an allusion to Dialga itself. Simply a genial song.
It makes me feel so nostalgic. Me, my brother and my cousin played the crap out of Diamond & Pearl. We actually had the first few copies here in the UK. My uncle brought us 3 copies while on his trip in the USA, so we got to play Diamond & Pearl before the they even officially released in the UK.
Dialga: Hey I can stop Time what can you do? Palkia: I can manipulate space *somewhere in an alternate universe* A marine biologist: Hey i can stop time what can you do? The marine biologists uncle's school friend: I can scrape away space
Hell no man, Cythia's theme. Cyrus theme, Sinnoh gym battle theme. The route theme's. Girantina's theme, the lake trio's theme. Gen 5 has alot of good music, but theres only one other gen that has more, gen 4.
Gamingshogun 9105 Even the pokemon company thinks the theme is good. So good infact that they have used it in some of the khalos region movies. Usually music of a specific generation, stays in that generation. Sinnoh music is the only music used outside of sinnoh games, anime and pokemon movies.
im hoping that when gen 4 gets their remake, it will have something like the delta episode in oras and add giratina and the distortion world in it. that would absolutely be sick!
This theme is so underrated. No one talks about it, I can't ebelive every Gen 5 fans talk about that the legendary theme is underrated. It gets more attention than this.
TortoiseBlaster THANK YOU! Finally, someone who understands how this Legend Theme is underrated. If I didn’t start with Sinnoh and started with Unova instead, I would still think that this was the better theme.
So this master peace, with Cyrus theme and Cynthia's along with the lake trio plus giratina makes for gen 4 winner of best soundtrack in Pokemon history
I think I can distinctly remember... 3? tracks from my playthrough of black and black 2. I can remember just about every track from Diamond/Platinum. Gen V isn't close to Gen IV in that regard
Just because you fanboy doesnt mean anything, lol. Pay attention to the soundtrack next time to see that only the PWT finals theme beats every single sinnoh theme. Then we have Alder's encounter theme, accumula town, the gym leader's last pokemon theme, the ordinary legendary pokemon theme, N's final battle theme and I could talk about the music tracks that only play like twice in the entire game but are still better than a vast majority of gen 4 music Sinnoh games only have Cynthia ' and and all galaxy team related battle themes, maybe add frontier brain theme in Platinum. all city themes besides sunnyshore are lackluster, there's no e4 theme to begin with and there are only two route tracks that are any memorable, which are the first route theme and the pokemon league theme (the one that plays indoors). There's just no soul in most of sinnoh music and the ost has probably the less instruments in the entire franchise, which makes it even harder to distinguish any of the themes it has aparte from the ones mentioned before
That peaceful part at 1:57 is just really off-putting for me. It's like you just randomly started frolicking on Spear Pillar in the middle of your battle with the pokemon equivalents of the gods of Time and Space.
Dialga/Palkia theme: we are time and space itself you can not defeat us Giratina theme: I’m the year 2020 Lake trio theme: we are the emotions of life. we are wise, calm and appear randomly in your quest Arceus theme: *music of 3:00 a.m* Hetran theme: GET OUT OF MY VOLCANO
I always find it interesting how Steven is a Steel type trainer and Wallace is a Water type trainer and exactly the next generation, the main Legendary Pokemon just so happened to be Steel and Water Type Dragons.
Brendan: I have the Weather Trio! I control the world XD Also Brendan: *stumbles on the gods of time and space* Palkia: *chucks a spatial rend* Dialga: *fires a roar of time*
+Alixstar11 i feel you. i like groudon a hell of a lot more than kyogre, but i also like lugia, zekrom, dialga, thundurus, and sableye more than their counterparts
+MinecraftSkillz44 Diamond was also my first! Dialga for life! Alpha Sapphire was just the perfect game. Gives me all my favourites except for Zangoose.
MinecraftSkillz44 I didn't mind X and Y. The music was really techno based, and I do really like the legendaries. But Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby are amazing.
This theme excited me beyond belief and sent chills down my spine when I first got here on August 28th, 2007. I was 9 at the time, going into this battle with a PP-tattered team cuz I had just battled Cyrus. I totally forgot I had the master ball and was trying to catch it in Poke balls XD I did grab it but half my team was dead lol. And I also had no idea that the Lustrous Orb was way in the back behind Palkia until after the 8th gym, just before the league. Fun fact: I am 22 going on 23 in February and just picked up this game again. I’m getting nostalgic chills all over just from the rival theme. Looking forward to playing through this gem once again :’)
What version do you pick? I Will pick Shining Pearl because: Mismagius (Pearl) or Honchkrow (Diamond),which One Is Better? Both, but Let's choose the One that ISN'T A FLYING TIPE so 1 for Pearl and 0 for Diamond Palkia or Dialga?I like both but Dialga is kinda overrated,so Palkia 2 for Pearl,0 for Diamond Purugly(Pearl) or Skunktank (Diamond)? Purugly, because Skunktank Is ugly The Only Diamond victory Is Rampardos to Bastiodon
But what about a game that has every region in it? That's all that's needed to make the perfect game. All five regions... and maybe Kalos. Though that one's optional.
The piano makes this theme sound so......divine like you're fighting a deity, which you technically are, but the other instrument in the background (I think it's a drum, correct me if I'm wrong) makes it feel somewhat intense as well.
This is a seriously underrated battle theme. Instead of going for intimidation, it going for a feeling of awe and grandeur. Pretty befitting of two otherworldly gods with untold power.
why did they have to fuck this up in bdsp😫😖 all of the percussion and synths have just been ripped out of the song. where is the bass? this version will always be a masterpiece though.
@@WonkiWeaboo Yeah, because he is right. Hell they even messed up the Arceus theme, one of the simplest themes to remake considering its all orchestral, and either some drum parts are too low or just flat out missing. Wanna hear what Spear Pillar remake should have sounded like, go look ups Brawls version its missing a part at the beginning but overall is way more faithful than the new version we got.
@@AJC-kh5rh i cannot for the life of me understand how people are defending the new version of the song. it feels completely different and non serious at all, i literally was laughing when i got to my dialga battle in game because this time around the music almost feels soft and lightweight compared to the originals. the originals were so serious and gave you this ominous feeling but the catchy percussion kept you in the groove.
I wish this game has a GB sounds that HGSS had kind of item like call it sinnoh sounds where it reverts back to ds sounds because I really prefer this to the remix. I have a feeling we may never see a remake that will be on par with HGSS.
@@markkart you can access a function that lets you use the original soundtrack, but only after you beat the elite four so its not like it matters outside of azelf, uxie, and mespirit. i really wish they let you pick what music you want while you’re starting the game instead, wouldve avoided many a migraines during my playthrough.
There's a bit of Giratinas theme in there which is creepy to an extent because in it's Pokedex entry it states that it watches from it's dimension it was banished to
WHY IS IT THAT THE MAIN LEGENDS FOR D/P HAVE SOME OF THE THEME OF WHERE YOU CATCH THEM? AZELF/UXIE/MESPRIT HAVE THE LAKE ISLAND THEME IN IT, AND DIALGA AND PALKIA HAVE SPEAR PILLAR??? woah
LenaDaPug it's because since the rings or spacial drifts where you find them belong to hoopa and he's basically just pulling them out from their original region and time.
I'm sure they didn't remake the themes so we could all blow our loads when a gen 4 remake comes in 2-3 years> I just hope they remake platinum instead of diamond and pearl.
***** Maybe, or maybe not. HeartGold/SoulSilver had many things from Crystal, but then again, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire didn't have much from Emerald.
