1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Normal type I find on each route; This includes Normal type Pokémon that evolve into non-Normal type Pokémon, but not non-Normal type Pokémon that evolved FROM Normal type Pokémon (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)

The internet that’s what. One guy says it looks like nipples and suddenly everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I’m not pretending it’s good design, it’s flawed in many ways but the concept is still solid…. Maybe it’s more frustrating for how it uses the concept. Maybe I’m biased because of how useful she was in my platinum nuzlocke.

Munchlax is assigned to two random honey trees out of all of them, that are calculated based on the digits of your trainer ID. There is a known calculation, so you can find out which trees are 'munchlax trees' at the start, but even then, it's a 1% chance. Without knowing which trees have munchlax, it's basically unattainable.

Munchlax is actually assigned to 4 random honey trees, the 2 you mentioned and then another 2 that are based on your secret id which can’t be seen without hacking. Munchlax trees also have higher encounter rates for rarer honey tree pokemon like heracross

Fun fact: Its theorized that Ambipom was SO ugly, that the writers of the Diamond and Pearl anime were forced to get rid of it. How did they do that? Ping pong. Ambipom, a pokemon that was a fan of contests, was released in order to pursue Ping pong, and was never seen again.

lmao, i'm doing this nuzlocke right now! It's incredibly difficult to the point where I'm fudging the encounters a bit like allowing myself a Zangoose and Teddiursa (if I were using real hardware, and had the correct GBA games to insert, it would be legal in my book) and coding in an encounter for Glameow on 218 since it's available in one Sinnoh game but not Platinum for some reason. Am about to watch your run! Ahhhh, doing the same name theme as me!! Love it!

That said of course everyone is welcome to their opinions and not every design is going to resonate with the majority of the community!
