Love the poisonous purple hat and scarf given to Dawn here. It pops out and demonstrates poison theme nicely. Funny how you went with Poison over Ghost here (though appreciated), given it’s something that can be easily forgotten about the likes of Gengar. 1:16 - Poison should be super effective against and/or resistant to Water. It’d help buff a weaker type and nerf a stronger type. It is funny that Poison of all things is a defensive type. 2:22 - Huh, even with the expanded Pokédex of Platinum, the options are very limited. I appreciate your choice of Stunky for the starter; they feel befitting of the role in terms of a Poison starter, despite only being a two stage. 3:55 - Oh, well that was a short playthrough. 6:02 - Yeah, I’ve seen only a handful of Nuzlockes but the Zubat line always does tremendously well. 8:19 - Man, they really upped the friendship rate after the Johto games. Only 8 levels and a short trip and Budew has already evolved. I did consider using a Budew when I first played Gen 4. It feels more at home in Sinnoh thanks to this stage and it’s evolution than Roselia did back in it’s origin of Hoenn. 11:42 - The twins had mercy. Perhaps these innocent souls could not bring themselves to slaughter your beloved starter (that you were aiming to sacrifice on a pedestal)… never mind, just saw 11:55. Welp, first episode and things are already going disastrously twice. 15:04 - You were expecting great things from your Zubat but currently Roselia is the star! He’s doing fantastic so far!

I was wondering. Didn’t Zubat have Inner focus? It wouldn’t get flinched from the fake out and you could have stolen the berry. Roselia was too much of a beast for it to even matter but maybe for future runs it might help, I dunno

It's always the harshest blow when your starter goes down, and this early, but glad you have plans and strategies to continue on.

Rough start. I feel like for this run in the early game there are a lot of random trainers you were just going to have to skip because of your overall squishy Pokemon. Those Twins were probably a really good example of that. I understand the stunky sack but realistically its one of your bulkier Pokemon

The background for this run is sick. It’s too bad about losing Stunky this early as it would be great for Lucian since it’s immune to psychic type attacks. But you need Crobat for Torterra and Bertha to be immune to ground type moves. Doesn't seem like there was anything else you could do though :(. Still, I’m excited to see where this play though goes.

YO DID HE TAKE MY ADVICE

There's quite a lot of misplays here. Aside from sacking Stunky (one of your two Psychic immunities), which kinda feels like karma since it shouldn't have been used in the first place, you forgot about Zubat's Inner Focus ability. You could've stayed in on the Fake Out, healed with the opponent's held Berry thanks to Pluck and had a much easier fight overall.

Why didn’t you sacrifice zubat? Couldn’t you get another one later on a different route?

Assuming Roselia has 19 defense and Cranidos has 7 IV's in attack and an attack boosting nature, it had a 81.3% to OHKO with a crit

poison is easily the coolest type imo
