The themes of these games seem to be past and future. Scarlet looks very traditional: the professor is dressed in what is essentially a loincloth and the legendary looks right out of an Aztec cave painting or statue. Whereas, everything in Violet looks futuristic: the professor looks like he just stepped out of Tron and the legendary looks like a robot version of the scarlet one.

Depressing fact: There was a thread on the Pokemon subreddit hating on SV's graphics. At this point I'm convinced that graphics snobs are in an El Dorado situation. Their standards are so ludicrously high that no game will ever be good enough, so they're incapable of enjoying any games.

i do not dislike the graphics of sv, but i did dislike how pretty much every switch pokemon has looked so far. i do also dislike the legendary designs. they come so close to working, only to have a massive wheel kill it all. also, the violet one looks like a purple dick in the back shot.
