Steel is partially made of iron but also out of other metals as well. If you didn’t know already. It sort of makes sense that most of the iron pokemon arent steel types
Yknow, it makes sense that the professors are named Sada for “Pasada” (Past) and Turo for “Futuro” (Future). After all, technically neither of them are _PRESENT_
i was thinking about it too, i think part of the reason he takes it so well is that he barely had a parent, ever. not all that much changed. i was worried about his orphan status, but is that any different from what was already happening for years? the professor was dead for years, but to arven, that was the case for even longer than the literal definition. he had to deal with the death of what he thought his parent was long ago.
@@arthallea Yeah I guess it isn't really that different for him. He's technically already been dealing with his parents being absent for years. He even said that after learning that his mom died, it was tough but his head had felt clear for the first time in years. So I think that in a way, actually learning about what exactly happened was good for him. It allowed him to get clarity about the situation.
One of the more noticable things I like is that in the phase two fight, it glitches from "You are challenged by AI Sada/Turo" into "You are challenged by the Paradise Protection Protocol." You're not fighting something human anymore, and they want you to know it.
The fact that the AI didn't know this failsafe existed and the fact that the Professor named it "Paradise Protection Protocol" just goes to show how far gone they are with their obsession of Pokemon from another time. And the fact that the Professor knew how to lock all other Pokeballs but their own and had it part of the failsafe too shows how dangerous they can be.
@@Envy_the_Darksider they likely knew how to lock their own, as locking all poke balls would include their own. The reason they didn’t lock their own is because it would have locked the pokeballs the AI’s/Paradise Protocol would end up using. They have to keep their own unlocked so they’re usable. The professors didn’t calculate for the possibility of whatever threat may come up would have (what ends up being our) Kor/Miridon and or any other Pokémon that was previously theirs. Which to be fair, that’s a really slim possibility esp considering the professors weren’t expecting to die so soon and for one of their Pokémon to escape from area zero.
i love this twist, because you'd think the ai was the wrong one, like it generally is in other stories, but here it's the AI that's trying to help you and it's the professor's conscience and memories who are going against you
The concept of being able to lock other people's Pokeballs is insane. Also the solution being to use Koraidon/Miraidon because they were originally Sada/Turo's pokemon, and therefor able to avoid the hack is genius.
I know, the second I realized I had to bring out Koraidon, it felt so cool. The execution in this game was fantastic, easily my favorite honestly, and I’ve played all of them. Do miss the latios/latias sky riding from ORAS
I really appreciate how robotic the professors' movements are, especially their facial expressions. And even their dialogue throughout the game sounds robotic.
Such a good ending. The whole concept of an AI showing more empathy towards the creatures around it than the human that created it is so interesting. Not only that, but going against the selfish wishes of its creator knowing they were wrong
technically there is still an evil AI based on the real Professor Sada wishes. So there are two AI systems fighting on which is the right thing to do and we're helping the assistant Sada shut down the time machine.
I can't believe it. They made the story of a Pokemon game good. The "villains" aren't just pure villains who want to see the world burn. And the way it was executed to get the player to use Koraidon is the coolest shit ever. (Like they could've just played a cutscene where mc realizes the solution and throws out Koraidon. But they kept the Koraidon in the Pokemon menu the entire time just so it could play a part here and get the player to click it.) And it actually got emotional at the end. Big props to the writers.
The rival could have been better for sure, nemoa was way too bubly for me. She should have been an asshole to you so where you would actually want to fight her instead of feeling like you're forced to be friends with her. Other than that, I think the story of this game is pretty good.
I love how this "antagonist" aren't like other villains in the pokemon games, they're not like "yeah im evil im gonna destroy the world", they're pure AI that still have the mind of the dead professor, and now they know that the dream that they've in the past is so dangerous for the region and now want you to stop them while they're programed to stop you, this is so fucking cool
Is it really just the AI though, I'm a bit suspicious that there might be a 3rd party influencing the AI. Well at least from the dialogue "at last my dream's within reach, and you're no7(is this the AI number or player name?) getting in the way!", it's either that's something else or just AI went rouge.
The paradise protocol system took over the AI professor. The AI professor sees what the real one did as reckless, and realizes it was potentially malicious when the protocol took over to stop them from shutting down the machine, and made it so as long as the AI is around, it can't be stopped. Really, if you wanted to identify anyone as a villain, it's the real professor, and their AI self recognized the danger of their creator's actions and in the end sacrifice themselves to save the kids and the region.
@@MrHoneuma I really don’t think the real professors are the villains cause why sacrifice yourself for a Pokémon that you’ve been researching you have two of them so why not let one die you have another to research on that’s why I think there not a “villain” in a sense more of a mad scientist who’s dream of harmony becomes there undoing
They could've easily gone to the more cliché "AI being more superior than humans" plot but they actually humanized it & made it one of the most likable antagonists.
Scarlet/violet honestly breaks my heart. It's very clear that they ran out of time for some things in terms of testing, improving the framechug, and numerous other issues. But there is also clearly so much love someone put in, from the little details of interactions with wild pokemon, to the environments they try to sculpt, these impressive beats in the story for a pokemon game. I genuinely was surprised by some of the characters, particularly Arven; from my initial impression of him being kindof a jerk, to learning how much he genuinely cared for his oldest companion, to learning about his estranged relationship with his parent, to being genuinely surprised when he stomped my ass before gathering people for the paldea crater. This game is a blurry mess, but the painting is there, the caring brush strokes are there. I hope they continue to improve their story in the future and be willing to take more risks, give more development.
@@francescoettwedda-1875 Its a figure of speech, she/he was trying to say that the game lacked form on all of its aspects but they did try to make it a good game
I like how the robotic movements of both Professors fit their names and aim. Professor Sada's movements look like one of those old toys slowly grinding to a halt while Professor Turo's is like a glitch in the matrix.
This has to be one of the best final boss battles in the franchise. Only thing that sucks about it is that I can’t experience it for the first time again. When I tell you I was shook.
Me too, I want to replay Violet so bad, especially to fix the mistake I made not doing the gyms in level order. It's driving me insane and really spoiling how great the game was. :(
19:30 40:48 If you look closely at the glitched text, for a very brief moment, the text says "Paradise Protection Protocol initialized" "AI Sada/Turo has no intention of fighting any more!"
@@blackheartzerotheundergrou3225 'murder'? I highly doubt it, this is just another boss fight a game throws at you even if it doesn't make sense, like literally defeating the professor in a Pokemon battle shouldn't "stop the plan", just like in Yu-Gi-Oh you defeat the big boss in a card game and suddenly their whole plan is destroyed, the same thing here, NPCs can act like a portable Pokemon center they heal your Pokemon (probably using items) so there's literally no reason a Pokemon battle decides anything here, its just for the player to play.
I’m speechless… From the truth about the Professors to Koraidon and Miraidons’ backstories… I was deeply touched. I can’t imagine how the franchise will top this story… thrilling and mature, all the while touching our hearts deep inside.
I'd say B/W walked so S/V could run. It's funny because in both generations (5 and 9) we have time machines, deep characters, amazing designs and a mysterious zone at the center of the region. Also we have the past/future and real/ideal dicotomy. Maybe, in a future Pokémon Light Grey, they are gonna send us to the past (White/real world/past) and we're gonna find some ancestors of relevant characters and past forms. And in a future Pokémon Dark Grey, they're gonna send us to the future, finding descendants of the main characters and future forms. Maybe the original dragon is related to the third legendary wich we didn't see in S/V, the same way Reshiram and Koraidon represent past and Zekrom and Miraidon represent future
@@bensimort30o7 black and white definitely had a better story though I think this game is leaps and bounds beyond any other story (Besides gen 5) that we've seen in a Pokemon game. I don't recall there being a time machine in black and white unless I'm forgetting something. If there was it certainly wasn't relevant to the main story
@@greensabr200 yeah. There was a scientist in Opelucid city who wanted to show his son pokemon from a different point in time, or to travel with him (I don't remember). So, if you give him a pokémon of the other version who knows charge (if you are playing Pokémon Black you have to give him a pokémon of the white version). And he refers to the other version when you talk with him. He mentions an older world where traditions are respected in Black and a futuristic and advanced world in White
Even though the game has a whole lot of technical issues both graphically and performance wise, this has to be one of the best plots of the franchise. Like holee-shit, it's the first time in 25+ years of playing Pokemon that the games squeezed a tear out of my 30y old ass, I tip my hat to the story writers.
@@arciere5511Dang. I played the og mystery dungeon in 06. Crazy how they aren't as popular with the general Pokemon fandom. Those games were hyped in gen 3/4.
The professor before they died has to be even more insane than Lusamine. They went so far as to program their AI copy to be forced to follow their security program and make a poke ball lock program. Like they didn't care about damaging the ecosystem (and I imagine the timeline) as long as they could achieve their dream of past or future mons coming to the present and coexisting. Even after they are gone their ambitions and truly aggressive personality show through the AI copy when you battle it.
Anyone else notice that little detail that all of their Pokemon are in master balls. The fact that the AI versions of these professors see the problem and want to stop it to save the world is honestly something I wish we see more of in media.
When the professor themselves can't time-travel themselves without safely returning to the present, but their pokeball can, they probably just thought of casually yeeting a bunch of masterballs through the time machine and added some sort of mechanism to pull them back into the present with their guaranteed catch, rather than risking having them break free into the present world and be unable to keep the Paradox Pokemon's untamed powers under control.
@@BluClair one small problem w that we know ingame that all paradox Pokémon are brought to the present via the time machine using master balls to catch and travel them. But all of the paradox mon’s we catch have our OOTs ,, meaning at least that once they arrive the professors are releasing them (making them catchable again) into area zero. Their long term plan is to expand this “paradise” by allowing all of the paradox mons to run free in Paldea
The fact that the AIs are more human than their dead counterparts speaks volumes at how depraved the real Sada and Turo were and how much their deaths were deserved.
@@FrahdChikun its bound to happen since they're limited to yearly releases tho, if they give them a 2 year gap between each game then they can totally polish them enough
If there’s one thing I like about the future designs is how they’re smaller then their original counterparts. Cause you know newer things are mostly smaller than their previous models.
@@White_wellbeing_and_Peacenot always, but is often the case. especially when it comes to gadget, in particular, processor chip get smallet and more powerful every 3 months or so. but things like car or wardrobe naturally they don't get smaller for they have to physically contain something. razor floss is also sharper than big knife of scissors.
Good lord, this ending went way harder than expected. The previous professors are DEAD, they were evil the whole time, the AI is forced to comply with their beliefs, and then the AI travels through time in an attempt to live their own adventure. Scoot over, Arven. I think I need therapy too 😭
I don't think they're evil. They just didn't know how dangerous the time machine was because they died before the past/future pokemon could become a problem. The AI shares the same mind as the professors so it's likely the real sada and turo would have also desired to shut down the machine if they'd lived long enough.
@@sanelyinsane8497 yeah, I agree with this. The original professor became completely obsessed with their work, to the point where they forgot what they were doing it for in the first place. If they hadn’t died they would’ve likely came to the same realisation the AI did. The Paradise Protocol seems to reflect the professor’s mind back in that period.
@@sanelyinsane8497 They DID understand the devastating effect the paradox forms would have on Paldea. They just thought it was "nature running it's course."
One parent left (presumably the other professor from the game you didn’t buy) and one was so absorbed in their work they died protecting a dream that would never work out (living with Pokémon from the past or future) and left behind a robotic copy of themselves that can’t even leave the lab and had time to reflect on the mistake of their biological twin. Arven struggled to accept that his parents are gone
@@Broomer52 How is Robotic Non Biological Pokemon a threat to current ecosystem in Paldea tho? I can buy Prehistoric Pokemon completely demolishing their current Counterpart and pushing other pokemon Species in Paldea to Extinction BUT HOW TF is Robotic pokemon which prob can be reprogrammed as Public service Robots any threat to Paldea ecosystem?
@@nickalex4235 We're talking about futuristic technology here, one that is yet to be discovered. These pokemon may have as well been programmed for competitive battling and training. With no way to control or reprogram them, they could easily just follow their sourcecode and battle every other species to extinction
The split second glitched out text that showed “Al Sada/Turo has no intention of fighting anymore”. Man this really is hands down the best story for a mainline Pokémon game.
this whole last sequence is some of the best writing pokemon's done in a while. it was really refreshing to be genuinely smiling and screaming to myself about the endgame of a pokemon game again. if there ever comes a time where a game is universally decided to be better than black and white, i'd hope it was this one (after they fix the bugs and maybe the graphics too)
it will probably after abt 5-10 years when people get fed up with whatever new gen is happening at that time and look back on scarlet and violet for being ambitious in both gameplay and story just like black and white.
@@noishfanboy1141 I wonder if SM will ever experience this treatment. XY experienced the opposite, where it was popular upon release and became more forgotten and/or condemned as the years went on, but I believe that SM still has a chance to become generally beloved game.
i LOVE the symbolism with the AI's battle area the protection protocol prioritizes the professor's goals over everything and ascending them with a platform so high up that they look like a god with them being on top the protocol just drops the pokeball from up their, looking down at you like a worthless set of data it can gather
When Sada sent out scream tail and sandy shocks it didnt really scare me, because they were not evolved, scream tail is just a jigglypuff, and sandy shocks is just a magneton.
Cain Agreed, which is interesting because a lot of people decided not to get Violet because of the Paradox forms, yet it turns out the futuristic robotic forms are far more unsettling and fitting to the story than the ancient forms are (aside from Roaring Moon).
It is interesting to me how Koraidon seems to fit the story better, but Professor Turo seems the better fit for the climax and twist- its almost like neither past nor future are a perfect for the present, even in the story itself.
In Scarlet the whole red background when Paradise Protection Protocol activates fits better then the purple background in Violet since red really adds to the urgency of the situation.
@@jayrollo1352Koraidon in cutscenes is superior. Miraidon's robotic eyes takes away expression and isnt as adorable as Koraidon, who looks like a real animal
When I battled Turo I found interesting that at the beginning of the battle the name of the professor includes "AI".But when you impress him during the battle by doing a critical hit or a super effective attacks, his name switches to "Professor Turo". Proof that these sentences could have really been said by the real prof, which is the real bad guy in the end
I really appreciate how it'd not entirely just "She had a dream to relese these pokemon" "but doing that would destroy paldea" "I don't care if you want to stop this destruction you will have to destroy me" I mean yes, technically it does become that but the ai tells you to stop it and destroy itself. It only attacks because it was programmed to do so. The ai isn't really evil in fact sada/turo didn't really do this with evil intentions either. Idk I'm kinda bad at explaining things but it feels pretty different from typical villains to me
fun fact: the hand the professor uses as their dominant hand (ex. during the intro of the fight) changes depending on the game. Scarlet/Violet are often depicted *in that order,* scarlet being left and violet being right. Sada uses her right hand (which is on the left side of the screen, due to our PoV), Turo uses his Left hand (same logic, it's on right side for us).
@@Danny328DT i knew that but i didn't connect the two information,i hope next time some strange guy who sells thing would be revealed to be a big shot... Volo enters the room
@@therealblizzi8139 True! Plus the actual guitars heavily resemble the ones heard in "Hopes and Dreams" and "SAVE the World" from Undertale! In fact I'm pretty sure they're the same guitars but overall this final boss theme has very strong Toby Fox vibes (I know this song was composed by him, but still!)
I kinda hope if we get a third game or DLC that they will have the other professor that is missing. In a journal it mentions how either Turo leaves Sada or Sada leaves Turo based on the game. They left midway through the research which is why the AI was created in the first place.
I just realized this game doesn’t technically have any legendaries besides the four shrine ones, because koraidon and Miraidon are just ancient and futuristic forms of Cycilizar, so I don’t think it would make sense for a third legendary
@@IJC039 I mean legendaries aren't a real defined category in lore so I think the box legends still count. There's multiple moltres, cosmog, and stuff in lore too
@@hunbi1875 true. I’d honestly classify koraidon and maraidon as legendaries simply because they are ancient Pokémon that were brought to our time, which seems like a legend itself. Although you could make an argument that they’re just fancy fossil Pokémon.
@@IJC039 There will be three more in the dlc. A book in the school library in scarlet shows some hybrid or fusion between raikou suicune and entei while in the violet the book has a fusion of the swords of justice. There is also an entry in one of the research stations talking about a pokemon responsible for the terastal mechanic
@@rohindas4163 we don’t even know if there will be dlc. Those could just be something we’ll see in a future game or it could be some drawing that they made back then. Although I’m not denying it, I don’t think we’ll get those Pokémon, but who knows.
My only complaint is that I just wish we got more out of this little final story arch, it felt a little short for how amazing it was. I was actually shocked the learn that the Professors had died before you even started your adventure. I felt really bad for Arven, he seemed heartbroken.
I think keeping the professors away from the player during the gameplay played into how you couldn't tell if they were robotic. The whole drama helps with finding out on your own
hands down the best endgame/ending since Gen 5 ( just when the stories started being more than becoming champion) I love arven and honestly hope whatever dlc they have planned reunites him with the other missing parent. You don’t even have to reunite them i just wanna see what the hell the other parent has to say
That moment you realise the robot shuts down and dies the moment it’s disconnected from the time-machine after it time-travels through it… This ending is so sad but also the best ending of all the generations of Pokémon, in my opinion.
Are you sure the AI dies after going to the future/past? I don’t think so. Also I can understand your opinion but I believe Black and Whites ending was a bit better 👍🏿
@@kobiedozier I’m confident that the robot shuts down since the time machine and the robot are a part of each other, and the time machine did stop. Also, the robot’s actions are determined by the database that they previously mentioned that instructs the robot on what to do based on the memories stored in the database and on the robot’s senses.
@@thebiggergazza4042 however if you return to the room after the credits you can see the time machine room is once again lit up so mabye there's a chance the AI Sada/Turo is somehow still active?
That would be weird, I don't think the AI robot can make a mistake, because they said they're interested to see the future/past themselves, if they knew using the time machine will make them shut down, why would the robot say that?
Maybe to help soften the blow to the player in game, they’re a kid after all. Like how some people tell kids that their dog just went to a farm instead of saying that they died.
I admit this twist was amazing. Like I had a feeling something was up with the professors (and I caught on that their dialogue sounded off. I figured it was just pre-recorded messages). When I found out that they were AI, I thought it was gonna be a Mohn or Lusamine situation where the professors are stuck in the past/future or something or their work has taken up so much time they've stayed in the past/future to do research and neglected their kid. But NO! They're gone!!! Dead!! I was shocked! And the implications that they weren't good all along just misguided like Lusamine or Chairman Rose but they're downright possibly malicious and everything they do is for science to its extreme.
The thing is their not evil is just their code cause as ai sada said "if you stop the machine I will most likely attack you artificially being that I am. my own desire can be overridden by the systems programing. Once that happens I'm afraid I will become no more than a battle machine bound to defeat anyone identified as an obstacle within my code" so they aren't evil it's just once the time machine was off their code-system switched and they were no more than just a battle machine.
@@angelsartandgaming I mean if you read the books in the labs it is said the reason they do it is because they wanted to create a paradise for the "three of them" (so for Sada/Turo themselves, Arven and what I assume is their husband/wife which is probably the other professor) so that's why they do it and not just for science. Which is ironic considering their spouse left and Arven was not only neglected because they were too busy but also his partner mabosstiff got hurt in Area Zero, the professors so called paradise.
Something you don't take into account: The machines are made with Sada/Turo's memories and personality. That means that the real professors would've realized that their actions were wrong, had they survived
Man imagine if Gamefreak still did 3rd versions. We could have both AIs facing off against us in a double battle with their respective Paradox teams, while Arven is having an episode in the background from all of the additional trauma while we use both Koraidon and Miraidon to fight
I feel like this fight fits Professor Turo more, because his whole deal is about "future", and the final battle with the AI and futuristic sci-fi tech in the background seem to play into that perfectly.
@@boosterseat740 Mmm, i don't see a way to make Scarlet very different. How you bring back ancient pokémon from a distant past, without a sci-fi, futuristic time machine?
The way I see it since the AI are exact copies of the original professors from memory to personality, they aren’t evil. Just people who got too absorbed in their ambition. They died protecting it and then their duplicate had time to reflect on what their original selves did and wanted to correct it. Their past self is conflicting with their future self.
Ok I just wanna point this out that I found really interesting after going back in the research facilities that really broke my heart. Also I'm gonna be referring to the professor as Turo for this sake because I played violet lmao ok so All of the research facilities have books and are basically journals and logs of the professor's experience at Area Zero. Specifically, at the fourth one - you know, the one that got absolutely destroyed - the first book on the left talks about how as soon as Arven was born, Turo's wife left him (and Arven for that matter). This is what leads Turo to build the AI version of himself due to being shortstaffed and lonely now that the one person he could still rely on left him in cold blood. The second book on the right talks about the Paradise Protection Protocol and the incident with Miraidon that caused the facility to get murked. He says he forgave Miraidon for the incident and that it was his own fault the whole situation happened in the first place. This...kinda broke me. It explains why the other parent was missing from Arven's life and kinda makes you feel for Turo but at the same time you realize Turo deserved it. He didn't have any intention of taking care of his son even after AI Turo took over. The cherry on top, for me at least, was him saying how none of it was Miraidon's fault which is reflected on by how Arven treats Miraidon the whole game because...yeah I would be pissed too if that was the reason my dad never came back with the milk lmao. Those are just my observations tho. Before I'm done I just wanna ask does anybody else know when or how we can catch the hexagonal pokemon Turo mentioned in the other violet book and his journal. Is it gonna be post-game? I'm curious.
the absolute monstrous flex of catching a pokémon through a portal and showing you it’s being caught before using it to fight you is incredible 10/10 environmental storytelling
It's just sad that these professors are dead. I've definitely missed the presence of a mentor, a support, a "temporary partner" guiding us through our gameplay. Looking at Professor Juniper, Sonia, Sycamore, etc
@@hlewis5217 is he not? it's mentioned he helped turo/sada 10+ years ago and only joined the school a 18 months ago so I assumed he was a professor as well
I think a good summation is that Area Zero was creepy as all hell (I played Scarlet), and this is easily Pokemons most depressing story. I still think I like Gen 5 more but only by a tad bit but the AI professors was something I didn't see coming till the 4th Research Facility.
Because Arven is the contrast of N.N was kidnapped and locked away from other humans so that Ghetsis can manipulate him further. when Arven, is legit the child of the professors, but the robot profs was legitimately happy for him to make friends, to live among humans as he should be.
@@DraceEmpressa I couldn't agree more. Both characters are tragic in their own way as Ghestis is still alive, but regardless of version, Arven's parents are dead
@@Gazing-09 for all the self awareness a Sentient AI can have they’re still bound to their coding. AI Sada and Turo want to save Paldea but know doing so will force them to fight their savior and they’re incapable of stopping themselves.
I don’t like when people are like Pokémon is just for children. (As weird as that even sounds to me.) Great storytelling, and I love that it got kinda dark too. Never expected the professor to no longer be alive let alone the true antagonist. 10/10 I hope gamefreak continues to elaborate with stories and understand that a core part of their fanbase are actually adults that have always wanted deeper stories like this to happen.
If you slow down when the text glitches at paradise protocol, you can see "turo has no intention of fighting anymore" for a split second and that's soooo cool
This fight was truly amazing and I can't wait to see people make videos of the the fight in 60 FPS without lag or any sort of performance issues. Also they did it, they finally bested Cynthia's theme (In my opinion at least)
As soon as Arven said the letters stopped eventually, I knew this was coming but was so surprised they'd do that and thought I was wrong - the professor was desperately trying to lure you down there but couldn't physically do so, so I thought that had to be it. I have terrible parental relationships but the way they behaved through those calls seemed weird even to me. The only thing I'm confused about now is the timeline of the death, I may have missed how long ago the 4th station was destroyed... all I could think about during that fight is how terrible I felt for Arven.
I just got done with the Professor Turo boss fight in Violet. I wasn’t over-leveled for it. His team and mine were even, but god did I hate having to fight Iron Moth and Iron Valiant. Those wiped the floor with my team hard. In spite of that, this whole fight was definitely the most epic Pokémon finale yet. The music, the environment, the twist with the professor(s) being DEAD, IN A POKEMON GAME. It’s got to be one of the saddest back stories in the series… yes, this game is a mess, but the story and the end twist make it memorable
man koraidon and miradon show more emotions than other legendary they just roar and little cutscene but thats just in other games but all of them look cool tho
Something I love about Sada & Turo (aside from the meaning of their names) is their designs. Sada has a sort of prehistoric style to her, while Turo has a very modern & pretty much futuristic look. Same goes to the legendaries. 👁👄👁
Suddenly the existence of koriadon and miraidon as well as paradox pokemon make sense They've been brought from the past and future for research But bringing these pokemon created a paradox in time and space hence the name paradox pokemon and hence why pokemon like tauros, volcarona, donphan, etc are different to the way they would usually look It also explains how pokemon from hisui are able to appear in present day These ancient pokemon aren't suppose to appear in present time but have because of the time machine.

@@Officewaffle I am a gen 5 fan.....and I still think pokemon peaked at that gen. That being said, this story has been really good. The game is filled with A LOT of issues (Seriously they should stop trying to make pokemon a yearly thing, they are going for AAA, the developers need more time to streamline everything....that and work on the textures and everything else, because it still looks like a first timer attempt with Unity) but the negatives don't really outstripe all the positives. Good pokemon design (except the final starters, minus Skeledirge it grew on me a little), an open world with tons of exploration to do, 3 story paths to do before the final one, great story from start to finish, etc etc etc. A bit sad they finally introduce an actual character creator and then limit customization, was the school setting really necessary here Gamefreak? Make the starter outfit the Academy one and then gives us shops or something, but again Yearly release crunch, I can understand why the developers had to cut corners. Overall.....Pokemon S&V is a solid 8 out of 10. The last 2 points are due to all the glitches, the bad textures of the world, and the designs of some trainers. On the trainer bit, I like characters that dress sharp.....but the Elite 4.....except for Poppy, they all look samey. The Leaders of Team Star and the Gym Leaders feel more like Elite 4 than the Elite 4. I don't get why they decided to go with this "All Functionary style" but compared to all the older generations, it is boring as hell. Heck it takes away shine from Geeta. She looks boring instead of interesting due to, again, being the same as the Elite 4. If the Elite 4 had different styles then she would look unique, which would be much better....that being said, while I like her outfit, not a fan of her hair at all, it looks like a cockroach. Seriously I am just waiting for it to jump from her head and begin skittering around
I was screaming the whole time my wife was in shock that a Pokemon game I was hesitant to buy had me shocked and excited like this. Incredible amazing - impreccable.
I like how they aren't evil it's just their code cause As sada said "if you stop the machine I will most likely attack you artificially being that I am. my own desire can be overridden by the systems programing. Once that happens I'm afraid I will become no more than a battle machine bound to defeat anyone identified as an obstacle within my code" so they aren't bad it's just once the time machine was off their code-system switched and they were no more than just a battle machine trying to "stop you from keeping them from their goal".
Scarlet/Violet might not be the best pokemon game out there but it definitely have the most epic final boss fight. The instruments, background, and the way AI turo/sada throw Master balls from above it really feels like fighting the last boss in Final Fantasy and the fact turo/sada isn't human encourage the idea you're fighting something beyond human understanding
The only think that keeps it from being SMT is your friends being there. If this was SMT they would have gotten killed or you would have killed them lol
@@circle3565 i mean, Strange Journey have Arthur. He might be just an AI, but late game, especially in Redux, he represent neutral path/ humanity path when Jimenez and Zelenin is... you know. Devil Survivor 2 also have Alcor and Yamato Hotsuin, who, despite being aliens themselves and initially programmed to annihilate mankind as well, they have mankind's safety in their mind instead of their original programming, much like the ai version of thr professors .
Aight i gotta give it to them this is one of the best moments in a pokemon mainline series, the ambience, the animation, the characters, the music They even show unique pokemon that you havent seen before, definetly in my top 10
What shocked me about the twist was that it was talking about actual Human Death And not a Pokemon simply passing away from old age like in other games They literally suggested here that the professor died in a Violent accident You have both versions since you have Koraidon available in Violet
Seeing both battles, im super glad I chose Violet. Turo and his futuristic paradox pokemon are definitely way more interesting than Sado's fight. This whole ending was just amazing in general, regardless of the fight. I couldnt stop playing as soon as I got into Area Zero. I was playing from like 11PM and when I was done with the whole game until the ending credits, It was like 5AM. And I was like "holy", the game kept me awake and hyped the entire time. Definitely one of the better pokemon games out there. It would have been so so much better if there wasn't so many bugs or the constant 5-10 FPS spikes during the game
same!! just finished it yesterday and coudn't put it down from the moment I entered Area Zero. I can't remember the last time a Pokemon Game had me hooked like this.
I bet arceus is looking at the alola region and the paldea region like, “Inter-dimensional ultra beast, and time traveling paradox pokemon, DIALLGGGAAAAAA PALLLKIAAAAA”
I liked how the AI taking control to overcome their human counterpart's evil plan works with Turo but not Sada. Since Turo represents the future, having an AI from the future step in to undo his plans makes sense to me.
But the Turo Ai is not from the future. Turo made that Ai in the modern time. Anyways tho I feel Sada fits better, at least the aesthetic, the battle, the emotions. It's just probably the part about the past that bothered you. Although I would like for her to still be alive and in Violet she would be, until otherwise noted.
@@shelbysycamore637 This awesome story goes to show the games weren’t rushed. People need to remember, GameFreak were contractors by Nintendo and TPC and were only set 2 years to finish developing the games which started late 2019 (2020 not included due to pandemic basically wiping out the whole year). Just imagine if GameFreak were awarded extra delays and 5 years to develop? For only 2 years of development with Covid interruptions, this game turned out decently well.
When you find out that when the AI talks to you during the battle it says that it is the actual professor. And when you beat it for the first time it questions who is talking.
This just showcases what a little voice acting could've done to elevate this moment. This is easily my favorite Pokémon moment of all time so far... I'm just disappointed I didn't get to hear AI Sada/Turo's voices and then their voices as they get taken over. I also would've loved to hear Arven's voice as he starts to realize his parent is truly gone.
Same thing people said about Lusamine's arc, then gen 8 came and you know how it is, so I disagree, I lived through different generations and seen this exact comment multiple times, if Pokemon becomes dark I wouldn't play.
Obviously they can't go too dark, but I'm really liking what they're doing! It makes the stories more interesting and stuff that's marketed towards towards kids but goes into more dark/mature themes tend to have really good stories.
Salamence maybe yes but a clear no for Iron Valiant. It looks like a mechanical fusion of Gardevoir and Gallade (maybe that's why it has both secondary types of them) while having it's own unique fighting style.
@@cannabishornliu6119 There's definitely visual features of Mega Gardevoir (you can see the Robe like protusions around the hips) and while it's not really visible, the large arm blades does ressembles Mega Gallade's until it's detached to look like a double headed spear.
Fun fact: The final battle against the AI is the first 7 on 7 battle...But technically split in 2 phases, a standard 6 on 6, then a mirror match against the Raidons.
Violet is the one that seems tacked onto Scarlets story this time around. The whole Jurassic Park thing with prehistoric Mons and Koraidon, and the book of ancient depictions of Pokémon.
I’ve only seen the final battles, but it felt the opposite to me. With the A.I and the time machine stuff, it sounds like Violet and it’s future focus makes more sense.
@@Galeforce017 Both make sense to me, its hard to choose which version to buy, but now the question is, how would this event happen if there was a third Paldea version?
Non of it has to do with past and future, the third legendary creates dreams and wishes into reality, professors thought it was a time machine when it wasn't
