Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday referred to protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and said "POK is part of India and we will take it".
Addressing a rally in Serampore, Shah said while peace has returned to once trouble-torn Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir "now echoes with slogans of Azaadi and protests.
"After the abrogation of article 370 by the government in 2019, peace has returned to Kashmir. But now we witness protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Earlier slogans of Azaadi were heard here, now the same slogans are heard in POK. Earlier stones were pelted here, now stones are pelted in POK," he said.
Hitting out at Congress leaders for not supporting the demand of taking over POK, Shah said, "Congress leaders like Mani Shankar Aiyar say it should not be done as they have an atom bomb. But let me say this Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is part of India and we will take it."

UN security council permanent member also needs to be happen for India. It would be extremely unfair if the world's most populous country and world's 3rd largest economy (in 2 years) somehow is not a permanent member of UNSC if we think that the 5 should represent the world's interests. But it is impossible because it requires unanimous approval from all 5 current members and China will never do that and no one will because they don't want their veto power to be diluted.

Why do jornalists in Indiia feel they are previliged to ask any questions, why would the Home Minister share with journalists the way to get back POK when the situation has been sad since 1947 and in last 4 years its still settling time. Next move by Government should be to put reins on Indian media for stooping low and causing a stir which causes rumours and ulitimately threatens national security, a serious concern if to tame down Indian journalists

Cheema is arguing from a false standpoint. It is naive of Chemma to compare a grave situation involving people's lives with 'pilow rice and biryani'. Cheema should familiarise himself with UN Resolution that dictates the sequential nature of the process to resolve the Kashmir issue. Pakistan has reneged on it requiring it to move out of POK first.

The wrongful and inept handling of Pakistan on POK, it is time for India to intervene and take back our territory which is already passed in Parliament by an unanimous resolution in 1994 and also abrogation of Art 370. I dont understand why is being discussed in the open? The debate should be on development. J&K is becoming more developed than PoK ( PoJK + Gilgit Baltistan). People of PoK understand this. The rest of the discussion about militaries are all covert. Nobody discusses this in the open. Its childish of rahul kanwal is even hold this debate. Same goes for Shouting Arnab as well. It is not required to have a full plan as what is to be done when India takes back POK. All efforts and contingency plans should be made within internal mechanism of the government not to be openly discussed as a two bit debate. And who says that after India takes POK that it is required by some law that India must take in all the transplants that have moved in and replaced the original Kashmiri people. India doesn't need to give any transplants citizenship they should be forced back to pakistan if they don't have proper papers....

Remember one fact...that Kashmir's accessions to India were signed by Mount Betton, Nehru and the King of United Kashmir.. including Gilgit Baltistan! British army personnel took up the weapons and took the possession of Gilgit Baltistan and gave it to Pakistan (for administration)! During all these episodes Indian and the Pakistanies were prohibited to have & use weapons! So it was the British betrayal that caused this situation! Remember that Pakistanies also used an excuse of 'Kabilies' invasion to Kashmir ( of course Pakistanies army personnel in the plain clothed)...that led to this current LOC! Possibly It was the British who led Nehru to bring this dispute to the UN! It's well-known that the British would betray India any and all Day...Now all that needs to unwind... before the UN has any moral authority over India and the global south! The UN is the failed institution any way... either they reform (& recognize Indian veto power in the Security Council)or face the Universal exedus of the Nations from the UN!!! Kashmir

I'm most surprised by Gen Dhillon replies. I found them political and round and round without any seriously military perspective. Absolutely no comment or comparison with Pak army war preparedness. resources and equipment. Or the turren where fighting might take place. His replies were more political than military. Gaurav Sawant is all hot air. Doesn't deserve place on this high table when discussing such a serious issue. He displayed immaturity with his simplistic, sentimental and irrational logic. Only Col Shukla And Sarin were talking logically and explaining how dangerous the situation can turn and are we willing to pay the price. Why invite Pakistani guest when you don't show basic courtesey of giving him time and listening patiently. He was cut short by the host. Dr.Cheema us an expert. He raised a point which nobody had thougt of. Are we willing to add 6 million radicalized Muslims as citizens? What is the cost of rebuilding POK? I'm aghast at the way China threat was casually dismissed by Gen Dhillon and Gaurav Sawant. Host is giving great importance to statement by 3 minister without understanding context. They had to say what is official policy. Host was taking them at face value. The Raksha Mantri is known to periodically make aggressive statements and threats which is not what is expected from such a senior minister. Fact is we don't enjoy overwhelming military superiority over Pakistan and a short war will be brutal and inconclusive. Long war will invite nuclear response and two front war which will be disastrous for India.
