I think archeops is quite better than aerodactyl just for because he has a lot of speed (Not as aerodactyl but it is enought) and more attack than aerodactyl
@@sNOOBdogFasullo It has decent speed but there are almost no mons that outspeed a jolly max speed EV aerodactyl. Since it's main role in my team is to pop air balloons, the lower attack stat than Archeops wouldn't be a big issue, since it's often paired with a mon that can take the remaining HP down anyways. I can understand why people use Archeops, but when it gets into Defeatist range you might need some extra heals where Aerodactyl doesnt.
@@usaynight Your guide still helps me a lot in general, I've made a few tweaks and changed some leads a bit, however I haven't been able to get as far as you did in this run so far! I can pretty consistently beat 24 gyms and 2/3 rich trainers but I haven't been able to defeat all 4 rich trainers that appear in the video so far. Your movements in between gyms and switching around the Pokemon in your party seem really clean.
Wow, such a great strat. way better than even double typhlosion and double blastoise you literally did two whole regions before healing?? damn that is impressive. and the way you used teleport to come back to pastoria and then how you surfed into the vermilion gym was SMART
I made one small tweak on this team... I changed one of my Typhlosions for a Vanilluxe with Snow Warning ability + Blizzard. It helps well at the spots where I had trouble before (leaders with Dragonite, or electric gym leaders with emolga or any levitate mon). So far it's been doing very well!
@@gabrieliscart7104 Unlike the Typhlosions in this video, both of mine had the Modest nature and 31 IV in special attack and speed. So I switched the one with the lowest total defense IV's out for the Vanilluxe. My Vanilluxe also has the Modest nature (it still outspeeds most foes it has to counter) and is EV trained in special attack and speed. As moves I just spam Blizzard and sometimes Hyper Voice.
Thanks for the video. It's a better strat compared to 2 Typhlosion + 2 Blastoise, but, tbh, it's not a braindead strategy since you have to change your pokemon many times.
Just saying Dewford gym has a Hariyama that have an ability thic fat. So its better to use Blastoise than Typlosion. Cuz sometimes scarf Birdy will damage typlosion making it hard to one shot. With this u can safely use togekiss on hyper voice since air move can miss.
Is there a specific reason you use the surf, cut and fly ocarinas? Surf can be covered by blastoise, cut by thyplosion and fly by togekiss. Or are all 4 moves on all teammembers mandatory?
Nice video. But i had all this pokemons ready and when i decided to try it i was suprised by Tate and Liza's Slowking who survives Eruption and Water Spout also Brawly's Lucario and Staraptor(Lead) bouth faster than Typhlosion , Wattson 's Rotom who survives Aerodactyl and Garchomp can do nothing and so on. So i was wondering is there new update that buffs gym leaders or what. Why they are suddenly so inconsistent like they know what strategy you gonna use and they just want to slow you down. So frustrating :) oh and let's not forget Erika grass leader whit Ninetales sometimes whith flash fire or Brock with random Salamance 🤣🤣 So if you have info about their entire pokemon pool that will be very usefull.Thank you for this video.😁
Yeah that does happen sometimes, they switched their pokemon and it slows down the method. You can usually kill Slowing second turn with Blastoise and Typhlosion. Use that same weakend typhlosion against Brawly's Lucario and staraptor. They will use final gambit on him and kill themselves then bring out the other typhlosion. Two modest are fine but it seems like a timid typhlosion like I use my be good for certain gym leaders. Also Erika Ninetails is annoying I recently changed my route. Making the same amount but I don't do sinnoh and instead morimoto and Cynthia. I might make a video on that run. Let me know if you have any other questions
Hey dude, do you know which strings affect which things? Because there's some strings that affect things that annoyed me or wasn't very helpful on doing things faster.
@@usaynight using an Ocarina or a move effect of a HM or an Out of Battle move (Teleport/Dig) was taking the same time while being clunky, and the swarms/alpha alert texts bugged on the Map saying things like "strings_(bunch of numbers)"
Finish all region and have fun while completing them, after you could make money by catching ditto or any other mons with good IVs and buy a team who will help you to gym rerun
Was wondering the same thing, base 130 speed is pretty damn high. It would be justified if it was there to outspeed Clorophyl / Swift Swim pokemons but I haven't seen Aerodactyl used on any gyms where this would be relevant. Adamant or another +Atk nature that isn't Brave should probably be fine.
Nice strat. But I can barely hear you, too soft. What was it you said that is important for this run? "Strings"? They remove "something, something..." from Gyms & Poke Center, But they mess with "something something..."
My audio in this video is pretty bad. I was saying that strings remove text chat and that they mess up gilians encounter counter but the updated version of the strings doesnt mess up anything. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7KZSdkEWRnQ.html ( I show strings in action here)
@@y0nay It works the same like what it does to Sturdy. Mold Breaker nullifies Levitate ability and flying type mon which means Haxorus can hit your Togekiss and Aerodactyl.
There are a few gyms that aren't too efficient, has there been an update for this strat? I haven't been able to get every gym on the list (I can do all but 2). Any info on that would be helpful! This is still wayyy better than the sunny day setup imo
yeah some of them are inefficient, make sure you are using Strings. I have another run that makes the same amount and takes off the Sinnoh gyms. Ill be making a video on it soon
@@usaynight I do have the strings, but rng from some of the fights have made it take longer than it should have. I'll keep an eye out for the updated strat!
@@usaynight I got the full run in and had 30 seconds left after the final rich trainer fight. I gave rock slide to garchomp which was really important to sub in for different gym bosses due to the starter mon, and for the ghost gym in sinnoh I used blastoise and togekiss instead which worked well. I think I had some good RNG here, but it's definitely promising with the extra time left over.
Yes, sometimes the gym leaders change pokemon. specifically rotoms with levitate on the gyms I used garchomp and aerodactyl. I would give rock slide to garchomp just in case
I got 25 gyms + 4 Rich trainers today with a few new optimizations and ended with 45 seconds to spare. You on discord? It would be helpful to compare because if you have improvements I don't this could end up being an extremely consistent run.
@@danius88 oh just click my profile. I have a gym run guide video, but check the discord in description because I have a document there with up to date changes.
After you beat Hoenn he moves in the middle of town by the bike shop. Talk to him and he will give you a quest to go to new Mauville. After you finish his quest he should be back in the gym and you can battle him
