"Game corner" a name given by the localization team to distract from the fact that it's actually a casino.

"Don't touch the poster at the GAME CORNER! There's no secret switch behind it!"

People say that the Game Corners encouraged gambling. If anything, they discourage gambling. My grind for a Dratini (2800 coins) drove me crazy in Gen 1. I only got it through rage, luck, waiting several minutes when I got two sevens lined up so I could get three in a row only to barely miss it, and getting so frustrated that I constantly mashed the A button and hoped I got lucky. In real life, I will avoid gambling like the plague because of Celadon Game Corner.

So sad that Gen 4 was the last game corner. #UnderageGambling

If you look at each game corner in the games where a new generation is introduced, the number of slots/attractions has been slowly declining. Just a strange observation I found, maybe game corners were destined to slowly fade away into in the first place, or have something else take its place :o

Gold/Silver/Crystal's was by far the best, no doubt it made me feel an adrenaline rush, real gambling shit.

Aw, you left out the version from Pokémon Stadium. It's just a remake of the Red and Blue version (plays in the Kids Corner for those curious), but what a great version it is.

What are they gonna do if they make another Kanto remake (which is probably unlikely right now but still)? You get to the Team Rocket Hideout through the Game Corner in Kanto so I guess they'll have to just move it somewhere else..

I could see the possibility of there being a trainer rank called game master, where you challenge them in a game and then battle there half-team of legendaries,(lvl75) there would be 2-3 of them with the veilstone, goldenrod(hg/ss) game corner themes and goldenrod(g/s/c) respectively.

I'm pretty sure the Kanto one (gen 3) is used in places other than the Game Corner... Or maybe I'm thinking of that arrange that appears in Stadium?

Sinnoh doesn't even hold that much nostalgic value to me when compared to Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn But I have to admit, none of those regions have ANYTHING on Sinnoh's game corner theme. The guitars, the drums, the bells, it's literally no contest. Gotta go out with a bang, I guess.
