The fact that is seems Seamus has never played Gen 4 before has me really excited for him and this series. It's going to be a blast and he doesn't have to worry about comparing the remakes to the original he can just have fun!
Honestly that's why this series is going to be extra fun for me as well because I myself haven't played Gen 4 before. Picked the game up yesterday to get ahead of seamus and not spoil myself although it would have been even better if i didn't get the game haha
“Like if a Pokémon evolves by trading, you can just trade it with an item equipped and it won’t evolve so you just kinda screw ‘em over” _deep breath_ MIIIINDDDYYYYYY….
Gen 4 best gen. I think everyone favors 1 2 or 3 more but the designs of the mons, routes, leaders, Elite 4, champion, and region stick with me more than any!
That song that popped up near the POkecenter sounded so much like it was about to turn into a song from Super Mario World. I think the song that plays in Donut Plains 1?
Even though I know some things about them, the last pokemon game I've played was soul silver so a lot of things that are going on here like exp share and catch exp are new to me as well. While exp share does make sense and its extremely convenient I'm worried that it'd make these easy games even easier. I wish there was an actual hard hard mode in these kind of games.
I like how the trainers (to seamus) don't have name, they're all the same. Game: * Logan wants to fight! * Seamoose: All right, let's go, see what Timmy's got.
im pretty sure the original pokemon diamond and its co games did not have this all around exp sharing and I played them SO MUCH back in the day. Also I remember this one playthrough of pokemon I did where I didn't train anyone other than my starter and got to like the 7th gym before I had to start grinding others, and it was painful.
You didn't get exp for catching in the older games. You had less pokebucks starting out and you only got 5 balls from the catch tutorial so that you'd have a total of 6 Pokemon potentially. Also other pokemon in party didn't get any exp from exp shares except for the ones that held the item. Then they mAde it so that it was a key item and every Pokemon got exp as long as you had an exp share in bag. Now they've made it so that you don't even need it. They've made the game easier looks like
Hey Seamus I know its not up your alley but would you consider doing a Nuzlocke run? Basic rules are you can only catch the first pokemon you see each route and if a pokemon faints in battle its "dead" and you have to release it.
I wonder if you can turn off exp share in the remake? I know universal exp share is a great quality of life improvement for the series, but I still prefer leveling up my team the old fashioned way.
Cant believe Seamus playing Pokemon again. I just got this and playing casually too. I just hope Seamus catches more pokemon this time since you can catch all the legendary and previous starters, don't want him using same team he caught from beginning.
