I love how the composers managed to create such a rich sound, full of complex jazz harmonies and counterpoint, from two pulse waves, one freeform wave, and white noise! It's impressive to see it broken down into its constituent pieces!
I didn’t know the wave channel could even do that. It’s a shame RU-vid hasn’t been recommending your videos, a lot of these musical tricks are rather impressive, and create some pretty complex songs for the hardware
Not a music person of any kind, but even I recognize the amazing talent retro musicians had to create such amazing soundtracks with only four sounds at a time. Hearing this made me appreciate the HGSS version and fan remixes even more!
I've only just discovered this channel and I'm bloody enthralled. Fascinating stuff. If you do any more Pokémon music in future, would you consider doing the wild Pokémon battle music from Ruby/Sapphire? I ask because I've always been intrigued by how the anime version of that tune takes one particular line of the blur of brass as its main melody, while every other official remix since 2008 has used a different line, and I think it'd be interesting to isolate each one in turn.
Could you deconstruct Mega Turrican Air Ride for sega genesis, I think it's level 4-1, the music on that game is great. Wouldn't mind others from that game might be neat
