My best friend from elementary school actually found him/her just casually playing. We didnt know about shinies then and thought the game had bugged because he was green on the box 😂 he still master balled him though 👍
The answer is the latter, you can refer to my video 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-odjwAi15YUs.htmlsi=iANwB9KB2OgGs-Fl ( Get Shiny Ho-Oh ) ; The principle is the same as this one.
Iirc zoning in and out is part of run away method of shiny hunting it? Since dry battery was a big thing and would cause the same frames to show, making it near impossible to shiny hunt through resets unless your save file is lucky or you purposely made it that way. Correct me if im wrong its been a while
@@theauracyte5733 Catching shiny Pokémon through resets is possible, but in Pokémon Emerald, the odds of encountering a shiny Pokémon are 1 in 8192, making it extremely challenging. 😎
I remember the day i got him. 500 or so resets not expecting a thing. Apparently with emerald it’s like harder to get shiny static encounters i don’t remember why but i got very lucky. Named him Karma.
Got legitimate shiny Ho-Oh and Lugia on my copy of Crystal and also a shiny Charizard on FR, playing through Emerald right now to get shiny Rayquaza I wish I could post pics
Great observation! While Rayquaza is indeed considered a legendary and powerful Pokémon, the introduction of shiny versions adds a touch of rarity and excitement for trainers. Shiny Pokémon are extremely rare and offer a unique and coveted variation. It's a way to celebrate diversity and make the Pokémon world even more fascinating. Happy exploring . 🥸
I encountered Shiny Rayquaza years ago but didn't manage to catch it. Luckily I had saved just before. I just keep retrying every so often & hoping for the best.
It's great that you had the foresight to save before the encounter. Persistence is key in these situations. Best of luck, and I hope you eventually succeed in catching that elusive Shiny Rayquaza!
@@Kaden_Kadd Hey Bro, In Pokémon Emerald, the chance of encountering a shiny Pokémon in the wild is approximately 1 in 8192, making them exceedingly rare. Resetting the game won't affect your chances of finding a shiny Pokémon. The game generates a new random number each time you encounter a Pokémon, so resetting won't increase your odds. You can check out my video on capturing Shiny Ho-Oh for reference 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-odjwAi15YUs.htmlsi=MexBa0PuYY56hhnB The principle remains the same. Best of luck in your quest to capture a Shiny Pokémon!
@@Dr.L_777GIMLNot for Emerald the RNG is set in a way, which is why people are able to manipulate rng much easier i think its only different if you start the game over
*laughing in shiny charizard* Shiny ‘Zard was originally purple with green wings now he’s black with red wings. Got my shiny charmander in an egg with full odds!
I remember when I got the shiny Rayquaza I screamed so loud my dad ran in my room like “WHAT’S WRONG SWEETIE?!?!?” I showed him the game and he gave me the “really ni**a” look then shakes his head and walks away while i jump for joy lol.
I tried this hunt for around 3000 run aways when i decided to give up and start a new file. Months later doing an SBQ in Emerald, i gave it another try for my last team member before Elite Four and it took me exactly one day. I woke up and started hunting casually, then half an hour before i was gonna go to bed, the legend shines. Master ball'd that shit quick af. So happy

Wow, encountering a shiny Rayquaza is a rare and exciting moment! Using the Master Ball to catch it was a smart move - no chances for it to escape. Did you catch any other shiny Pokémon during your journey? 😁
You must interact with Rayquaza, engage in battle, and ascertain whether it is a shiny Rayquaza. If it is not shiny, restart the game immediately upon this discovery until encountering a shiny Rayquaza. You can refer to my earlier video content, which demonstrates a method for capturing shiny Lugia, for guidance. If you had to do it the legit way, did you have to restart ALL OVER AGAIN? Or just when you enter the Sky Tower? (Nevermind, question already answered within the comments)
It sounds like you've reached a point where you needed a little help! Using "walkthrough walls" can definitely make navigating the game easier. Sometimes, a little assistance can keep the adventure enjoyable. 😆😆😆
I replayed emerald a couple years ago and tried to hunt shiny rayquaza. Did it a pitiful 30-40 times and just gave up, I wanted to continue the nostalgia-fest. I caught regular rayquaza but when I checked it in my party it had Pokerus, totally legit version of emerald, totally legit encounter. Didn’t even know you could get it legitimately.
That's Aswsome! Hunting for a shiny Rayquaza must have been an exciting challenge. It's interesting how, even after giving up on the shiny hunt, you stumbled upon a regular Rayquaza with Pokerus. The surprises in games like Emerald make the nostalgia-fest even more memorable. It's amazing what you can discover in a totally legit version of the game. 😆
Emulators oftentimes have a graphical setting for scaling, which was used on this short. Scaling increases the resolution of a game, giving a sense of more smooth graphics
You don't have to reset in pokemon emerald, in fact is not recommended, what you should do is: battle, if not shiny, run away, leave, re-enter, battle again. Until you find a shiny one
