13 years later and this is still one of the best remixes of this song. It can honestly stand with the original and HGSS versions. The Amen Break drum set, the fantastic instrumentation plus that amazing breakdown near the end. This is going to be cheesy to admit but back when I was a kid, I used to listen to this remix, pretend to power up a la DBZ style during the initial buildup of the song and pretend I’m in a high speed fight like in the show. This remix just carried that energy for me. No one does it like PokeRemixStudio.
Unlike most remixes ever to exist, this remix is solid throughout the whole song. Simply amazing. One of the first songs I listened to constantly when working on an essay or a project. I'll never forget this song.
Going through my old pre-google time-capsule YT channel and finding this and the g/s/c trainer remix really took me back. Still have the exact same mp3 for both song passed down thru 3 computers and 4 phones. Hell my original 2008 phone still works and has these. Enough reminiscing but like seriously, were does time go. Such a simpler time during YT golden age. Love seeing all the other recent comments from others on the nostalgia-train.
@@tlst94 both, the first phone it on is an LG Voyager i used in high school from around 2007 to 2011 afterward it was move from smartphone to smartphone.
there's something that PokeRemixStudio's remixes capture that I don't hear in any other Pokemon remixes to this day... for how old these are, I think they really capture the magic, spirit, and mystery of Pokemon. Something about this one in particular really hits me hard, makes me think of the old days of Pokemon
Gym leaders ranked in difficulty to me in gen 2: 8:Falkner 7:Chuck 6:Whitney (easy once you've played through the games 5 or 6 times) 5:Pryce 4:Bugsy (that god damn scyther) 3:Jasmine 2:Clair 1:Morty (that fucking hypnosis has increased accuracy. I swear to god...)
Gym leaders ranked in difficulty to me in gen 2: 8: Cynthia 7: Red 6: Lance 5: Pikachu 4: Obama 3: Miley Cyrus 2: Magikarp 1: Youngster Joey (DAT RATTATA AND DEM SHORTS)
This also includes champions ***** 8.Morty(All normal types at the time, except for one dark, so that sealed his fate during battle) 7.Red(No idea why he was so easy. I had the same exact pokemon though from lance's run. I just had different moves for my Aerodactyl or however you spell it) 6.Pyrce(Alternating between my games from grass types to fire types.I think you can already GUESS it) 5.Falkner(I caught a fighting type somehow before I got to him, which didn't help but he was 4.Bugsy 3.Clair(Seriously... when you have all the kanto and hoenn pokemon on your team that are fully evolved starters, you have NO worries and run a farm off of them to get the perfect EVs, it still is a hassle, but I can at least give her a good fight) 2.Jasmine(Fire type advantage for that steelix.) 1.Lance(THAT DARN AREODACTYL WAS JUST KILLING MY TEAM, FORCING SURVIVAL INSTINCTS:Use full revives.)
+Alpha Wolf Honestly, those aren't even sure-fire answers. Onix is probably the best. Geodude is weak and Heracross isn't overly bulky, is harder to find, and doesn't have a good Fighting move at that point iirc.
really love your custom intro... but overall its missing that oomph... that, hard note, though you got the urgency of the song perfectly. I just feel like... its too light.
