I adore the sort of "evil queen" vibes Kyogre gives off in this. It would have been easy to just give Kyogre a soothing voice and depict them as the good guy, but you did a good job making them both sinister conquerors, and Kyogre still has a smooth voice to contrast the harsh voice of Groudon without detracting from their imposing presence.

Atop Sky Pillar, where I stay The land and sea start, another fray Chaos must be, brought under sway! Bring forth the Gale With each trek I take A Dragon's Ascent born from wind's calming haze The world shall be saved now Rayquaza's awake! Calm the quakes, and still the waves I'll teach these beasts, how to behave!

This song does a great job of showing these Pokemon's might as individual while also bringing them together to display their hatred for each other. Simply amazing.

I like the 'Tyrant King vs Dark Queen' vibe this one's got!

One of the reasons i adore Groudon and Kyogre so much is that instead of being some creation of man's desires or some god, Groudon and Kyogre feel like nature itself felt wrath. They're not benevolent gods, they're monstrous titans who only seek to slaughter their opponent. They aren't pokemon. They're MONSTERS.

"Rayquaza, Groundon and Kyogre are going to destroy Hoenn! Please, you need to stop them!" "Yeah, yeah, just a sec. This is my jam."

Noticeably, they both say "The world shall expand now that I'm awake" Whether on purpose or not, it sorta represents how they both see their side as how the world should be. (In contrast to the land/ocean shall expand)

Groudon is just a guy with extreme anger issues. Kyogre, on the other hand, sounds noticeably scarier, like a bloodthirsty psycho.

I like the line "Crash and Burn against the Waves" because they both sing it and it means different things from both. When Groudon says it, "Crash and Burn" refers to how it intends to fight against the Waves, attacking with crashing precipice blades and burning magma to take them down. But when Kyogre sings it, it means crash and burn as in FAIL. FAIL against the Waves. Kyogre is commanding Groudon to fail when attempting to fight against the Waves, while Groudon is describing its intent to fight against them.

What a spectacular song and battle!!! I kind of imagine this battle as former friends now enemies clashing. I wonder what originally ruined that bond if they were friends once.

This song is perfect. It feels like two titans going at each other.

I imagine that Rayquaza is just chilling in the ozone layer eating some popcorn watching this play out before interfering

Kyogre's "no one stands in my domain" reminds me alot of vs ridley "Guiloutine, take their heads! We shal stain the stars in red!"

Gen 3 was my starting point of the series for me and is still one of my favourite generations period. And this music video was one I was excited for and this music vid is damn great as well. The primal might of the Land and Groudon, and the primal strength of the Oceans and Kyogre is shown off pretty damn good and I love it. Well done! Edit: Special mention to the line ‘crash and burn against the waves for this world is my domain’. I do love that line and the parallels between the two.

i like how groudon and kyogre their songs are actually on different sides of the headphones.

I find the "the world shall expand now [I] am awake" interesting, as it shows they each think of their own domain as the entire world.

I really like how these two contrasts each other so perfectly, not only in personality and styles, but in the way they sing their lyrics Groudons lyrics are not only sharp, harsh and "loud" but his main chorus is quick beats he gets his lyrical rhymes out in only two bars. In contrast Kyogre's lyrics being l melodic, drawn out and "soft" but her chorus take four bars to get her full rhythms out. Another thing, going off of above. If you listen to the parts where they both have similar lyrical strings (the part talking about their attacks and ruling their dominans) due to Groudon going so fast from the get go it feels like he Rampaged with sudden violence before watching as everything around him burns slowly. Conversely with kyogre sing so slowly at first it sounds as if she's creating something massive before launching it out to let it sweep everything away quickly and completely. Final thing. At 1:30 When they talk about how they're superior and the other counters using their weather to weaken the others attack. I just like how they 'can' sing in the same manner as the other but 'don't'. It's like they're mocking each other saying "anything you can do, I can do as well." It's just a cool little thing i like.

This was magnificent! I loved the music, the lyrics, the way Kyogre and Groundon were blended together...this was art, pure and simple, and i am delighted to have found it.

My favorite line in this song has to be "The earth/sea shows no mercy to those who'd invade!" It really brings out their mutual hostility toward each other.

Loved the song the theme The juxtaposition between the fierce voice of Groudon and the tranquil voice of kyogre was great and it captures the chaos of the raging battle between the two and their domain hope we get more hoenn themes, really hope you do one for deoxys and Archie and Maxie soon, maybe more legendary Pokémon themes like the Regis or the creation trio, looking forward to what comes next

I gotta say, I have a soft spot for these guys. As even though I've never played any of the games, the Weather Trio was my first exposure to Pokemon. Not to mention Groudon and Kyogre's pure on sight hatred for eachother is so fucking memeable! I love these guys so much! And it's amazing to see a song about them!

Me and a few friends from my DND group had a party a few days ago and me and a friend of mine sang this song in the kareoke. He made a great kyogre. I think all of us sang at least all the Pokémon MOTI song once or most more the once. I know my gramma might be pretty shit

I like how each legends voice is portrayed. Groudon is loud and harsh like a blazing sun, intimidating but bright and evident. While kyogre has a much more calm yet mortifying voice, almost like a nightmare where you are trapped underwater, the voice being everywhere around you.

You can really feel the power and presence of these two, locked in eternal war for control of the planet they see as theirs and uncaring for any caught in their crossfire. A true battle between the gods of Desolate Land and Primordial Sea. Until Rayquaza shows up with La Chancla, that is.

I just like to imagine that while Groudons spitting lyrical fire at Kyogre he’s still standing on that small speck of land like he did in Emerald.

I like how Groudon’s angry personality clashes with the typically calm Maxie, and Kyogre’s liquid-smooth vocals contrast Archie’s aggressive hot-headedness

I think that Groudon and Kyogre are the only Legendary pair that have a mutual/absolute hate for the other and I think that this song really gets that across.

"Crash and burn against the waves!" I love the duality of this line. Kygores's saying it as "There is nothing you can do to stop me; you will fall." while Groudon's has it more as "I will continue to rage against you as long as I live." I know I was late to the party but you guys nailed it with this one. Probably one of the best covers you've ever done!

holy SHIT when i say i got chills from this i MEAN IT. the INSTANT groudon started singing i instantly got goosebumps and shivers. alex is of course a natural fit for an ancient wrathful primordial land diety, no shock on that casting, and the way he’s able to deliver that POWER behind the voice while still having it be singing and work with the music, and the added vocal effects feel like auditory flames. and THEN emmy with kyogre comes and it’s just the same level of WOW. this was a casting choice that, when i read the description before watching felt so out of nowhere and a complete curveball, giving kyogre a more feminine voice wouldnt have been what i imagined, but HOOOOLY shit as soon as kyogre started singing i UNDERSTOOD. there’s still a ton of power being the voice but it contrasts SO well with the searing fire begun groudon’s voice, providing that primally smooth but dangerous ocean sound. it’s such an unexpected casting choice but provides SO much levity to the harshness of groudon and then putting them TOGETHER? god, i had chills through this entire thing, the lyrics OOZING that primordial rage and raw, undistilled POWER, the very land and sea speaking, a personification of the utterly immovable forces of nature, with absolutely STUNNING vocals to go with it. but when you put the harsh and the cool TOGETHER? like i said, i had goosebumps for the entire song but my breath was taken away from me during this section, i cannot overstate the genuine physical effect the vocals had on me, and this was absolutely the intended effect and it SUCCEEDED. absolutely ASTOUNDING at capturing two literal gods fighting for control i’ve enjoyed these pokemon musical bytes so far, yes, but this one absolutely blew everything else so far out of the park. it’s been SO long since a song has given me genuine chills, i’m blown away by the work here. keep it up, i CANNOT wait to see what comes next

The Hoenn trio are my favorite because compared to the rest, they feel so, *viceral.* Most other legendaries tend to be vague or abstract concepts. Time and space, truth and ideals, ect. But the weather trio represent the unpredictable, untameable nature of the very planet we live on, something every human has undeniably experienced first hand. The Beginning and the End. Water and Fire. *Alpha and Omega...*

It's a bit weird to see Ludicolo appear, seemingly out of nowhere, near the end there. Ludicolo: "Hey guys, can I sing with you, too?" Kyogre: "GET OUT."

I… don’t believe I’ve ever heard Emily sing that low before? Seemed like such a curve ball casting choice until she started singing. Absolute chills. And Alex being simply magnificent, as always.

Scariest thing about these two is there is no true "victor" of this fight for anyone else. The world will end regardless of the winner, either deriving the world of water and having it become a desolate land, or submerging all civilizations underwater. I suppose Kyogre is slightly less catastrophic since oceanic life can persist, but either way it's a lose/lose for pretty much everyone else.

I love how they are almost unable to fight in each other's weather (except for groudon being ground type). That means that it's a battle to see who can impose their own weather and win. Accurate lore-wise

Kyogre's voice suits fits her so well. I like how it feels a little metallic, giving her mysterious and evil vibes.

Hoenn legendaries. They're not Gods, but they sure carved the most memorable and historic moments in all of Pokemon history, for casual fans and competitive players.

gotta be honest, going into this and seeing alex as groudon, i was worried the casting was too powerful; how could anyone match the fury of groudon if the big man himself was the one belting out primordial screams? well, i got my answer; the resounding echoes of kyogre's voice sound almost hypnotic in how chilling they are! it conveys a sense of just barely breaking the surface of a power so vast that none truly know the depths to which it might reach. a perfect foil for the broiling, boiling, bubbling rage of groudon's more focused verbal assault.

Now we need daddy Rayquaza to come in and give the two of them a good bonk on the head and force them to get into the "getting along together" shirt.

All the other legendary duos work together, are incomplete without the other and represent two sides of a coin or two integral elements of the world that don't work without the other, meanwhile Groudon and Kyogre are an ancient blood feud hellbent on destroying each other... and this theme catches it PERFECTLY. Also, I now REALLY want to hear Deoxys with lyrics.

While listening to this song, I realized that Rayquaza's Ability, which clears the battlefield of weather effects, most likely was used by Rayquaza when facing Groudon and Kyogre, cancelling out both of their buffs that their weathers give them, and giving Rayquaza the advantage, even against the Primal forms of the two

The weirdest thing about this series so far is that it's making me realise I have been subconsciously voicing all these pokémon in my head for years now, so whenever I hear someone else's take I'm immediately taken aback by the differences. However, once I'm over that initial hump, it is stunning to see the love these games have inspired, and the talent that has been put into these videos. My first pokémon game was Platinum though, so I'm very anxious/excited to see what you do next in this series. :D

The sheer power of groudon and kyorge can be heard through the voices. Groudon’s anger and kyorge’s desire for expansion is so clear that I can’t help but be in pure awe. Groundon and kyorge have been my 2nd favorite legendary duo and I am so happy this has been done justice.

I like how Groudon is more aggressive and direct, while Kyogre is silent and mysterious, like the deep sea.

Groudon and Kyocera have a rap battle for 3 minutes. In all seriousness, this is fantastic. Both voices are extremely fitting, Groudon’s agressive and full of fury, really reminds me of Alex’s Ridley voice. And Kyogre has a calming, yet haunting voice, perfect contrast to Groudon. The song just ramps up in chaoticness, perfectly capturing the feeling of impending doom. You guys really knocked it out of the park with this one, instant classic
