That pic in the top left corner, with piplup and oshawott...there was another with snivy and rowlett, and another with cyndaquil and...TORCHIC. Everyone made the connection when they saw these pictures released regarding the release of DLC for Scarlet and Violet, that these would be the starters for PLZA, corresponding with the starters from PLA. So it's still kind of makes me wonder why they would go ahead and stick with the first two, but then flop to something else with the fire starter.

The argument was because Torchic already has a Mega Evo. Even though I think it's still highly possible for Torchic to be the starter.

the indigo disk pics with starters have nothing to do with ZA. Whatever the starters are in ZA, they are most likely not the ones from those pics.

@@BrokenSoulConfession Counter point, Slowbro has a regional form even though it has a Mega Evolution, so the theory of Pokémon that has a mega evolution won't get a regional is thrown out the window, also we may get regional Mega Evolution or Mega Evolution for regional forms and some point, maybe in PLZA because that hasn't been a thing yet and need to be tbh

The talking about the camera for the Switch successor made me think about it's likely AR capabilities, which I have heard nothing about. Could this hand-held become the go-to platform for playing Pokemon GO and like games? No reason to go short on such capabilities.

Snivy, Scorbunny(for Cinderace) and Piplup(for Empoleon) should be the starters for Pokémon Legends Z-A. Pokémon from Kanto(33), Johto(6), Hoenn(2), Unova(9), *Kalos(3) and Alola(1) got regional forms outside of their home region. Not a single Pokémon from Sinnoh or Galar got a regional form outside of the region. *I hope we get more Kalos regional forms since we only got Sliggoo, Goodra and Avalugg.

why would Kalos pokemon get regional forms in Legends Z-A that is set in Kalos? That doesn't make sense. Unless you mean regional forms in Gen 10 then maybe. Or if you talking about pokemon not native to Kalos getting Kalos forms in ZA then that is possible.

Snivy makes the most sense for the grass starter if the plan on going for a french theme. But if they go with a rebuilding theme, then Meganium's dex said it can bring back dead grass. Torterra talks about finding pure water. I'm still going with Snivy though.

If the starters do turn out to be Pip, Sniv, and Scor, then maybe the starter for a Gen 10 legends game will be Tepig, a Gen 6 starter (because 2 for Cindaquil, 4 for Piplup, and 6 for Chespin?), and a Gen 9 starter ((as we got a Gen 7 for PLA, and rumored to have Gen 8 Scorbunny for PLZ-A) Quaxly?)

Picture this: it's a day from now and you tune into HDvee to see if Khu has hinted at something or if there's been any actual news. Instead of the normal garbage he posts daily, he's instead making original content- shiny runs, forming his own speculation, maybe even a podcast. Life is good. I don't hate Matt as a creator. His streams are great. But this content isn't it. Like literally. It's nothing.

Not "we". Not all of us are convinced that the starters are the ones on the calendar. Calendar doesn't make hints towards the starters of a future main series video game. No, we do not know everything about the next console. Nintendo didn't announce the Switch 2 or any info that came with it. I still doubt that there is backwards compatibility. Who said the Switch 2 is going to be announce this year? It could easily be revealed next year before March ends.

I just don't feel Snivy will be the starter only cause they had a Gen 5 starter in the last Legends. Sprigatito have a better feel cause doesn't over laps but Treecko would be my next guest. That if the other two were right. In the end any starters of Gen 4, Gen 8, & Gen 9 to not have over laps would be my guests.

When TPC suddenly reposted the Rowlet/Snivy image, I just (jokingly) knew it will be a topic of discussion right away. But it's nice that the old rumor resurfaced after a period of hogwash 4chan leaks. This was already 'teased' before Indigo Disk came out. And it's from the official channel, too.

Torchic makes more sense, if you're going for a French theme. The only thing really holding it back is the fact it has a mega. But even then, they can work around it.

I dont want scorbunny cause i hate it the most of ALL starters. I think it's also too recent,maybe litten cause it's decently old and cats being in france isn't too unheard of,maybe themed around killing a rat pokemon in the area

Man, I dislike Quaxly's line the most. Scorbunny is alright. In terms of fire starters it's pretty middle of the road for me.

@StrayTato I love quaxlys Evolution line as I think Quaquaval has loads of personality in it's design and it makes sense since for peacocks,even if it isnt directly based on them, and other birds who use bright feathers for mating rituals, the gender doing the rituals are males

@StrayTato Yes, it is,I do understand what you dislike about quaquaval, too, but it helps that I used quaxly as my starter, and im part brazilian mixed and loved the carnival theme. Cinderace is meh for a fire type, but i dislike it most cause I dislike its line. My fav fire type starter is probably emboar or infernape , Favourite grass is Rillaboom easily Favourite water type and pokemon in general is Samurott

@zajinramirez2780 Hey finally something we can agree on. Oshawott's line is my favorite water starter. Fire starter would probably be Incineroar, and my favorite grass starter would be Torterra. Lol, I chose Sprigatito for my Paldean starter, and I don't regret it. (I like cats)

This is exactly what happened with Rowlet. Rowlet/Scorbunny - last gen rep, Oshawott/Snivy - region matching 5th gen, Cyndaquil/Piplup - region matching 4th gen connector.

what do you mean they are garbage? Do you know that Rillaboom is frequently used in competitive? Cinderace having Libero is pretty good too as it change its type to trick opponents. And Intelleon can be dangerous if left not checked.

The game will have to copy the Generation 6 art style since Legends: Arceus did a similar thing. Even then, the gameplay needs to be like Pokémon. If I wish to play Persona, I play Persona, not Pokémon SV.

Sorry but legends arceus looks absolutely nothing like gen 4 in terms of art direction and it looked horrible. Next legends games needs to have a cartoonish art direction if it wants to look good, if it aims for realism it’ll be guaranteed to look horrible and unpolished. I don’t trust gamefreak to make realistic cartoonish polished looking games like Pokémon Snap 2 so it would either need to look very cartoonish in order to look good and polished or it would need to look realistic like legends arceus which would make everything look really bad and unpolished. Gamefreak does a much better job at making cartoonish games with that type of art style then they do when it comes to realism, Pokémon games continue to look worse and uncanney the more realistic the devs try to go in art direction.

@@Merciless_Zero The only thing that look "bad" in legends was the environment, nothing else. Hopefully with the new console the game will look even better. Also the Cartoonish art style is horrible, the only good thing I like is the vibrancy of the colors, but cartoon characters looks so bad. Pokemon only works with pixels or a more realistic art style, not cartoons.
