This item is constantly "recommended" to me whenever I launch Amazon or eBay, so I finally caved in and bought this Pikachu inspired 3D Illusion Lamp/Night Light. I was always skeptical, so I decided to pick one up to see if these night lights are worth it not... and the results are quite surprising. Check out my unboxing and thorough look at this interesting item.

Thank you! I was afraid of damaging the glass when removing the yellow film, but it's just a matter of forcing one corner and the rest is smooth.

Thank you! Got a similar lamp in a different brand as a gift and that paper sheet looked more like thin paper on ours rather than thick and cardboard like. Was too scared to take it off thinking we would break it so very happy to know it is removable.

If you use batteries, do you need the cable/port to power it up?

Why when I press a color it becomes a different color. Like when I press white but it turns out yellow and when I press pink it turns out red? It wasn't like that before. Can you help me?

My son likes it, and it seems to be worth it. While it still works with USB connected to a power source, it seems no longer to work with AA batteries. I've been using rechargeable NiMH batteries that used to work. I'll try alkaline batteries. The issue could be that I let the light run completely down with AA NiMH batteries installed.

Oh my, I've never attempted to use batteries, we've always had it plugged in... I might have to test that out too 😣

The problem was that my IKEA rechargeable AA batteries are .5 mm shorter than standard AA alkaline batteries so we're not making proper contact to the positive terminal.

I'd say to try one of the corners towards the bottom, and slowly pick at it with your fingernail until it comes up a bit... it's really stuck on there 😞
