@@Mat4yo Very beautiful, I love the music behind it. The Rap Verse plays well with it, I thank you for the song and the creativity plus the back story of this song. 👏👏👏
That means so much. It's among my favorites I've ever made. So much sentimental value and I was able to capture these amazing visuals to visualize it. Thank you ❤️
Ooh, tough choice! I'm a Dialga person though, so I gotta do with Diamond. As the for starter, #TeamTurtwig! Totally not what this is for, but hey, can't pass the grass.
I may only be 14 but this brings me back to when I first played pokemon Diamond. That my older sister gave me. Me playing that game is how I got into pokemon at like 6 or how ever old I was. This song is so good you need to keep up the good work.
God dang, is mini Mat talking critiquing the translation for Turtwig's name? This rap definitely is kind of reminiscent of the nostalgic feel of Cosmic Wanderer and it's great 🔥
Couldn't find the lyrics anywhere so I transcribed the best I could and I may as well put them here. There's a few words I'm unsure of but I think these are fairly accurate: When I hear the pitter-patter of the rain Every drip it brings me back to better days Sitting by the lake Checking my reflection Thinking certain memories would never fade Every path was paved Never faced a fork in the road but only on my dinner plate Now that kid has changed Aging on my body Shed the skin away But my spirit stays The timeless space it seems Perpetual state of radiant leaves Not ready to leave They beckon to me From up in the trees With wisdom I can never reach But there is one eternal verity That life can be painful But every teardrop is a memory And I’ve got a lakeful Like a stream that’s liquid in motion I’m filled with emotion that’s overflowing But my legacy is fishing for hope in the river and grows a pollution from erosion And I know it’s making people sick with the notion that if you don’t grow up you’ll decompose But when the lilies and clovers will whisper “come over” I’ll go back to visit and listen much closer Can you hear me from under here It’s the mirage of your yesteryear Shipwrecked and left in despair like a horrific myth that doesn’t even feel real Flotsam and jetsam might ask you a question And when you contend them you’ll lose some you’ll win some But that’s the nature of what water’s about You need a lot to live but too much you might drown Birds fly round the world Fluttering gems like diamonds and pearls We can’t understand them when they chirp But what if they were telling us the meaning of the universe Earth has inexplicable features The shape of the trees and the scent of the cedar I got the sense you need to be a believer But only pay attention to digital creatures I need to leave As selfish as it seems I could curl up in my sheets Simply cower in defeat Or I’d find the willpower and the valor just to power off the screen Left behind the toys and the widgets But then I heard a voice in the distance And if I just let it swim with the fishes I’d have as many faces as my Nintendo DS has Can you hear me from under here It’s the mirage of your yesteryear Shipwrecked and left in despair like a horrific myth that doesn’t even feel real Flotsam and jetsam might ask you a question And when you contend them you’ll lose some you’ll win some But that’s the nature of what water’s about You need a lot to live but too much you might drown We were just getting started then I was 10 No shortage of awesome friends An area broken piece of my heart to mend These fragile fragments are part of my early state of consciousness The sanctuary’s sacred I promise I’ll be its guardian No doctors could’ve ??? it (genuinely cannot tell what this is. my best guess is “afforded”) No culprit could ever pickpocket it There’s a message in a bottle and I gotta rescue it or it’s lost again Even if I gotta bargain with the Loch Ness monster I’ve hold to(?) spare me extra oxygen I’m coming kid I’m diving in Just hold on a bit If only you could see the knowledge you would garner over time you’d never call it quits You will see a future where you supercede your lucid dreams by two or three obtuse degrees with newly gleamed acuity and you will be the glue that keeps these duelling beasts in unity And you helped me to thwart the distortion I’ve cut through the noise that lay dormant Turn back? I can never transform into the person I was before this So my last resort is To learn what each season has to bring And when I leave it’ll be bitter-sweet like how the summer solstice sends off spring When I hear the pitter-patter of the rain Every drip it brings me back to better days Sitting by the lake Checking my reflection Thinking certain memories would never fade Every path was paved Never faced a fork in the road but only on my dinner plate Now that kid has changed And that’s okay
Wow, this is ART. Chills, man. I'm thinking about picking up Arceus over BDSP right now. I mean I still have Pearl, so I'll play the heck out of that. I'll be satisfied with watching BDSP playthroughs, tho!
Another modern classic! It hits differently... thank you for this brilliant rap! You truly are a shining star, a gem among rappers. And hey, no matter the struggles we go through, no matter how much we remember our past, we're here now. I understand how yesteryear was so much better than the pain of now... but I think you also understand that, and you understand how it made us who we are today, and that without it, we wouldn't be where we are. For that..... thank you. Already can’t wait for your next one!
Bro this was such a great vibe! The instrumental and your vocals dance together so well, it feels so smooth. The flow was insane, lyrics were poetry. 10/10
This is amazing dude, your voice and flow is impeccable and your wordplay and verses are so incrediblly creative. You are genuinely so talented, I hope you can get more attention as time goes on. The theme of growing up and the pressures of society with their different (and often skewed) perceptions of what the phrase means really hit home with me. A very bittersweet but overall positive song, this is a very welcome addition to my chill playlist.
