NOT ME PLAYING The original Pokemon trainer battle theme, from pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow, played on a piano. I did not make this, this video is originally from www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4119119
THREE continuous voices that include fast-paced chromatic descents and ascents when written, played with two hands. Imperfect as it is, it's truly an impressive feat to witness. He didn't sacrifice a single line, he just found a way to play everything. Incredible shit dude, honestly
Probably the only reason the gen1 and gen2 battle music never used the noise channel for drums is because they wanted to have battle sound effects that wouldn't interrupt the music.
Halow Sept nobody said it wasn’t composed on the piano. He said it “wasn’t suppose to be played”. I mean he’s practically right, Junichi Masuda was the composer for this generation of games and this song was done as a duet on the piano to simplify the difficulty.
0:53 this guy is a God. Id struggle to play the roll itself, he actutally clubs it with the melody without stopping. Others I have seen have suspended the roll for the melody although they still did a good job
This song brings back feelings of tension, excitement and determination. This is the soundtrack to which we all willed our Pokemon to battle our best and overcome our enemies. A defining song of a good childhood.
This theme is actually very easy to play. You should look at Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement if you want to see a god-awfully hard piece to play. This theme will probably be hell on your left hand when you first learn it though.
@@kikook222 Nah, this piece is definitely harder. Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement is hard but the patterns are easier to remember and perform in comparison to numerous instances in this cover.
A wild Professor appeared! Foe Professor used Lecture! Player became confused Foe Professor used Homework! It's super effective! For Professor used Exam! Critical Hit! It's super effective! Player fainted.
Glenda Ofiana There should be at least "Player flinched", otherwise we are just skipping Player's attack... He should just have struggle (but that one doesn't have weaknesses and resistances), or something with effects of splash.
Quite literately all the boys in one of my classes has the emulator or an game boy , and on the last day of school , even the teacher was playing pokemon....
Trainer Red wishes to battle! *sends out blastoise* (me) Ash: Go Pidgeot! *kar arr et!!* *Trainer Red uses X Accuracy* Pidgeot!, use Razor Wind! *status bar dropped to 120/415 hp* Trainer: *makes blastoise use Hydro Pump* But it missed! Pidgeot!, use Steel Wing! *Trainer Red uses hyper potion on Blastoise* Me: OOOOooooh it is on!!!!
I’ve watched a couple of videos of this cover; this is by far the best cover for the bass line. It’s so clear and just the right amount of pressure application on the keys.
This is the best piece of music ever written for the Gameboy and one of the best video game songs ever created. It's worth owning a copy of this game just to have a legitimate copy of this song. You killed it dude, great video.
I remembering finding the sheet music of the exact one he’s playing because I wanted to learn to play this too lol but kinda fell off after learning basic piano. It may still in the web somewhere, if I remember correctly it was in the link in the description then it was someone’s comment in Japanese I think then a link from original owner to his sheet music. But I may be tripping lol somebody find this LEGENDARY sheet music please!
Wow, he's really good. There is a mistake here and there, but is good. So far he is the only one directly played the song, without editing. So I give more credit to him than others. He just needs to train a little more to achieve perfection. Don't give up and continue to train... he just needs to train their EV. Because their IV for the piano are very high. xD
Well done dude. I'm learning this myself and you manage to hit some notes and chords while doing the flourishes that I deliberately left out. Now I'm inspired to get them. You still make mistakes and I think some of it is still left out, but you've done really well to keep going. This is a difficult piece for a single player piano and your playing is commendable. Forget the dislikes and keep going! Liked!
Im so motivated right now hearing this, I remember back then playing as a kid Pokemon and hearing this each time wild pokmeon appeared 😂😂 last time I heared this sound I think is more than 10 years
I hate people who think fast forwarding works for Music videos. First of all, if you know anything about fast forwarding, you would know that the pitch in sound gets raised but the sound of the piano is in tune here. Secondly this guy made a few mistakes, but still the best cover on RU-vid nonetheless. Also thirdly I don't think a musician would ever think about cheating a performance, it's kind of a moral thing in the music world
you could edit the sound back down after you speed the video up. Though it would most probably result in audio degradation (big time). Programs like Mixcraft can speed up/down music without changing the pitch. Which is of course not really feasible with an acoustic piano
MegaMech Actually yea I guess it was wrong of me to say you "can't" fast forward music in general. But a video like this, this isn't even a "perfect" performance. Computer generated or edited music sounds perfect, too perfect that it doesn't sound authentic compared to a video or live performance. But as you were saying yea you would need to be a pretty skilled editor I think to edit an audio to sound authentic. At that skill level, im sure editors wouldnt be making fake piano performances. lol
Cell would be jealous of this perfection because it's far more perfect than he could have ever been! (Not that he would have ever been even close to it though :P)
I'm such an anal piano player. I can't upload videos of my piano playing because I can't upload a video of my playing without focusing solely on the mistakes I made while playing, even if it's one mistake. No matter how well I play, one mistake makes me think it's shit. I don't see that in others playing, I don't care if they make a mistake, but for me it's my OCD.
creeperscoutMC Dude, when I'm learning a piece, I will think it sounds likes absolute crap but then when I hear it later it sounds amazing. I'm not normally a perfectionist for minor details but for piano playing I am.
Same here...I can't bear mistakes or something out of the main idea. The problem with me is I get really frustrated and that doesn't allow me to improve any skill in anything. It's really annoying because I tried to learn guitar, piano, use "reason" or FL (and other stuffs unrelated with music like drawing) and I use to quit when I can´t do something fine. Any idea to avoid this problem?
+Polar Bear Active u havent mastered a song when u still have to think about it. u need to get it down in ur muscle its called muscle memory and at this point where u can play it blind and half sleeping u have mastered it
