Fun fact: Rosalind's line is a direct allusion to Macbeth, in which Lady Macbeth tells her husband to "look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it"
The weird thing about Pokémon uraniums gym leaders is that they don’t look like over the top anime characters they look like normal people and I like that.
I love the harder difficulty that the gyms provide in Uranium because it makes me think up strategies to beat them. It didn't really click until Maria's last Pokemon nearly swept my team.
I think Uranium got the difficulty just right. So many Pokémon fangames and romhacks these days are just sadistically hard, but this one manages to be much harder than the official games while still feeling fair and not cheap, and you don't have to know the teams in advance and use damage calculators to beat it. I seriously don't understand how anyone can find enjoyment in hacks like Emerald Kaizo and Run & Bun that force you to play like that.
I remember when I tried to beat Tiko's pajay through brute force. I eventually got an emprilla with the jungle crown, then gave it rock slide. After some more strategic stuff through the fight, my +2 emprilla crushed that bird under a pile of rocks.
after 2 years this song still remembering me that if you want to get your objectives, you need to give everything of you even on the last moments, it could be hard but you need to be harder than it. This song is very good for a gym because of that :)
I would love it if in pokemon games if you were down to your last pokemon a special song would play and the enemy would say a special line like when gym leaders are down to their last pokemon. Like the line "you have a great future ahead but what about now?" Would be perfect for a scenario like that. Also decisive battle is easily one of my favorite pokemon fangame ost songs
After doing a nuzlock of the game i can proudly say that the only death i suffered against a gym leader was my fyrant that got focus by the two pokemon of vaeryn (ngl i was sad)
i think this song is the best gym leader theme pokemon has to offer, and it made me wonder... is it a completely original song or is it from another pokemon game? I think that last section, the "clutch" it acomplishes is oof, unbeatable.
Just a couple days ago, I beat Pokémon Uranium with only flying types. Shoutouts to Glecto the Harptera for being absolutely broken with Gale Wings Acrobatics Edit: took me forever but i just realized that Rosalind's final pokemon line is a reference to Macbeth
@@DukeTheDukeTheDukeTheDuke not really, surprisingly. His only Rock type is Dearewl, and Pahar is available before the battle so you can exploit its lack of fire resistance and bad Sp. Defense The rest of his team isn't too bad either. I was surprised that I first tried him at the time tbh
@@angrycinnabon2956 Eshouten is incredible in the early to middle game because of STAB High friendship Return. It's incredible, I used one named Skylight and it was so good. I think Owten and Eshouten are my favorite Pokemon in Uranium (I also like Pajay and Eletruxo too but Eshouten saved me so many times). Also its cry, it's adorable.
Ahhh, memories. I recently played through Pokemon Flux's first episode--made by the same devs that did Uranium. I was kinda surprised that Emdasche wasn't the composer for Flux (though Pokestir's tracks are also amazing), but yeah. All I can hope for now is that the rest of Uranium's bugs and postgame content are fixed/added someday so the game's legit complete. EDIT: As of Halloween, Uranium _actually_ got an update. Seems the devs who took over are getting there, slowly and surely, so I guess my hopes for a finished game aren't a pipe dream after all~
It depends on the starter you pick, Orchynx makes Maria, Davern and Cali so easy, due to being a Steel/Grass type. Raptorch struggles against Davern and Cali, whereas Eletux does well against them. Metalynx does poorly against Tiko, though.
I hate how many of the characters vs sprites are resprites. But I mean I guess it would have been hard to make every single sprite from scratch so whatever
@@fizork4782 I'm referring to the CHARACTERS, not the Pokémon Younger Theo's VS sprite was a resprite of Iris Cali's vs sprite is a resprite of Janine Davern's vs sprite is Roark. Etc.
@@Oscarus4250 But like I said, what makes you think that'll be standing forever? Many people know there's a another Team working on them so do really think that the same stuff that got them that order (the Previous Devs) would be present in a far updated Version. Nintendo won't be able to use the same Ammunition like last time.
If a Pokemon Plutonium was developed that had everything implemented, and then released, would you play it? The final boss Pokemon will be at Lv94 with base stats all at 244 (for a total of 1464, the most overpowered Pokemon ever [In official Pokemon games, base stat totals NEVER exceed 720, and this is over TWICE that limit]) but no EVs, to make it fairer, and given a Fuel Rod as a Hold Item, basically converting all weaknesses against its type to resistances. You do NOT wanna be extremely underleved for this fight
These are solid themes, but I just can't make myself play this game. The Fakemon stick out so badly and the story just doesn't appeal to me. I was hyped for it, but oh well. I'm glad people seem to really like it, and I'm glad they went so hard on things like the music!
My strategy was train your Pokemon until they're at the same level of the gym leader's highest level Pokemon and raise one level to the Pokemon who does very well in that particular gym.
