Well, some players have done dog-only or cat-only runs with some pokemon that are based on foxes or lions respectively because they're related to dogs and cats respectively.
So uh, the reason Monferno didn't do much against Giacomo's Revavroom is b/c it's Dark type. The Starmobiles lose the Steel/Poison typing in favour of w/e that Team Star Boss's typing is. And his is Dark. So the fire won't do super effective damage. It may have tanky def but it's mostly just, not a steel type any more.
I’m just a little confused. How did your first Sid have 65 total health 8:54 before he died and you reset, then the second one had exactly 9:03 65 hp again? I thought Pokémon even of the same species have different stat gains. It’s odd it doesn’t have the higher or lower HP. Did you just reset but delete the Pokémon that died?
It’s funny I was considering doing this, but I chose to use cats for one run and dogs for another. I’ve already used bears in Sword, so monkeys might be next. (Provided the Gen 5 monkeys actually get some respect and attention for once)
Honestly a lot of the Monkeys are fantastic in their own way. Slaking was literally the king of normal types until Arceus, Primeape is an amazing Eviolite user and Anihilape is an ubers tier. Ambipom can also be exceptional and a sleeper mon even in competitive. Also, most of these are apes, not monkeys.
also gorillas are apes not monkeysMonkey species include baboons, macaques, marmosets, tamarins, and capuchins. Ape species include humans, gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans, gibbons, and bonobos.
Well, if you want for the title to be 100% accurate, it would be "could I beat pokemon violet with only PRIMATES?". But monkeys works better for the algorithm, so fuck it
