@Shelas Scaria currently playing through Empyrean, and gotta get to reborn still. In empyrean I'm at the robot city currently. I also still wanna play Uranium, Flux, Odessey, Opalo and a lot more so reborn is pretty far back in my priority list

@Shelas Scaria it's been great with some mild complaints here and there. Most notably with the type nullification items. I'd be fine with them if they were either unlimited uses for both me and the enemy or one-time use for me and the enemy. Sadly, that isn't the case, I only get to use it once, and my opponents get to use those nullifiers seemingly without limit. Almost every other trainer has them on at least one of their pokemon, so it makes some battles pretty tedious and annoying, especially when those pokemon only have one weakness. That being said I enjoy the story beats so far, even if the characters are kind of hit or miss for me at times, namely Nora since so far it doesn't feel like the creator knows what to do with her. I'm also kind of disappointed that only some starters get megas while the rest don't, but it's not world ending as Chestnaught has still proven to be an indispensable asset on my squad. My squad currently is Tyranitar, Scissor (two pokemon who I've yet to use in any game before and wanted fo experiment with) Omuran Crobat, Darmanitan, Chestnaught, and one more pokemon I'm having trouble remembering at the moment. Sorry that was so long, I didn't mean to make a whole essay about it 😅

Without spoiling shuulong is god tier. I played without items and it tanks damage so well.

Voltsy also does - Though he's recently moved them to playlist descriptions instead of video descriptions. He's been my overall main source of pokemon fangames for quite a while now.

Insurgence is still up there, it’s funny how Pokémon Insurgence predicted some our current worlds events, it aged sooo well. From Deltas as to which Game Freak themselves took inspiration and created regional variants, nasty virus pandemic which in our world years later became covid and everybody got quarantined and finally the lore of Arceus and Giratini as to which years later, Pokémon legends Arceus came out, although the story and lore is completely different, the developers of Insurgence were onto something with that concept. Insurgence aged so well and after replaying it again years later, no fan game come come even close to it, it is 1 in my top 5

I’m a bit into now and I think my only issue is some of the music choices are not great. A lot of them very quickly get annoying because they are short loops and the mixing is not doing it any favors. Gameplay and everything else is preem though

It's not, at least not until the post-game. Like, at all. I was like 20 levels overleveled over most fights by the endgame without even trying, and legitimately straight up solod the entire story ending sequence of multiple legendary-tier boss fights with a non-legendary without issue at all. It's 100% balanced around the difficulty curve of the official games.

@@AtomicArtumas Ok I finished my playthrough playing on the hardest difficulty, no items, and level caps. It was pretty challenging with some boss fights and the elite 4+ champion was rather hard (I was stupid being even below the level cap). I liked some of the gym leaders, but the story was kinda weird in certain parts and the pacing felt too fast at times. Overall pretty neat, but I love the dynamics more in rejuvenation mode with rivals. The character development was so good with characters.

@@absi49 it's not another "viewpoint", it's Whataboutisim and irrelevant. Nobody's going to applaud them for not including a Trojan in the code or not selling illegal material when talking about how trash they are in the fangame and community scene with the scumbag stuff they did and do. If people would level nitpicking complaints, it would be that for all official mons pre gen 6 they simply ripped the Gen 5 moveset scripts without updating them, that you are forced to carry your starter in your team for the whole story due to event mechanics etc. By your Whataboutisim logic, them getting nitpicking complaints outside the big ones is a reason to justify their behavior and that's just dumb. They didn't have to put up with any undeserved criticisms for their shitty nature and objectively faulty coding so stop trying to white knight them.

What do you mean with pieces of code being pay walled? What exactly is pay walled?

I also made the mistake of choosing shyleon. When I play games with fakemons I like to only use the fakemons. That being said, there are TONS of new grass and new fairy types. Which made it difficult for me to use those on my team so my types weren’t too repetitive. I’d definitely recommend either the fire or water starters in the future cause you don’t have nearly as many new mons of those types. 👍

Yess it's clear they wanted to tell a ambitious story but they really could have edited down stuff and it would be much smoother to go through.

Stay mad. this game is good as hell. overly long intro? for gods sake, if youre mad, skip it. The designs are great, dont know what youre talking about, oc name? what the fuck are you talking about? its the pokémons original name changed to accomodate its new look. And what do you mean "feel the need to have a legendary as part of the story", dude, every pokémon game has a legendary as part of the story. it just looks like you hate pokémon.

Warning rapidash x is insanely weak unless it's half health which is still gimmicky since it's squishy so it's basically guaranteed to get one shot. Electaburst or harrowk (its hidden ability is drizzle) does the same thing.
