@@albondigas9549 I doubt this is how he was getting his cut. I would never agree to taking money off of someone stack at a casino with cameras rolling to get paid. @officeofpeaceinformation5094
It’s obvious now that Garrett was already on high alert suspicion about Robbi and Rip before J4 went down. He had noticed the coordination, collusion and signaling between them, so when the hand happened, it just confirmed his suspicions. Thus his strong and convinced reaction that he had 100% been cheated. They were cheating before the hand even went down and Garrett had noticed it (see Gmans time stamps in his 2+2 report). Just their signaling each other justifies him getting his $ back imo.

I don’t know that I agree with you on this one. I think plenty of people outside his shoes were as certain as Garrett off the jump. Plus, he didn’t technically accuse her of 100% cheating until several hours after the live stream concluded. Very clearly, Robbi and Rip colluded on the AQ v AQ hand, which would have made any attempted lawsuit fall by the wayside had no additional evidence come up in Garrett’s favor. I think that particular hand is what prompted him to post that Tweet and not the J4o hand. Of course this comment should in no way be taken as sight against Garrett. I neither like nor dislike him as a player. I do not play cash and seldom watch cash live streams, but you must respect his game aside from any negative biases that anyone person may have.

Thank you, Bart! This is an excellent video! I have tried to explain this to many people, but having an authority like yourself explain it really makes a difference! Any pro who does not do their due diligence on this topic, and comments carelessly (without research) is doing a huge disservice to the poker community. Robbie has changed her story on everything! If anyone takes the time to listen to the livestream, they will hear all of her inconsistencies. One serious 180, is that during the stream she states several times that the money give back was amicable. She says that she asked Garrett what it would take to get him to come back to the game. Now she says that he was a bully in a dark hallway. Ryan, who was an eyewitness, said that it was amicable, as well. Now, Robbi is accusing Garrett of being hostile! So, if he is such a monster, why would she want him to come back to the table?! Especially, if she had to pay him 135K to do so! But, she is defaming Garrett and tearing apart the poker world. And, someone asked her if she had a 3! She said, "No, I do not have a 3!" That was before she turned her cards over! Thank you for taking the time to really think about this, and for informing others. Thanks for all of your awesome poker content as well!
@daddyfuse50
@daddyfuse50 Год назад
Yeah, Garrett also lied and said she offered the money - but Ryan said he asked for it back, a key difference. Robbi changed her story because, like Dnegs said, she made a "i wont be bullied, and get bluffed by the table alpha" call, without knowing how bad her hand was to do that. After, when she realized everyone was shocked and she started getting accused/questioning looks from much better players, saw an "out" in saying she misread her hand. She was under heavy pressure and questioning DIRECTLY after the hand from the stream "star". After going with the "misread her hand" story she couldn't again flip the story and admit she just gave a fuck it call or she would seem even more guilty. It's really not hard to understand and is occams razor. The cheating theories (multiple, and ever-evolving, completely different from Garrett's original accusations which have all turned out bunk) are so elaborate and sophisticated that they require heavy proof, of which there is none outside confirmation bias.
@tomonetruth
@tomonetruth Год назад
@@daddyfuse50 You refer to Occam's Razor: the idea that. where there are two competing theories, the one with the fewest assumptions is to be preferred. Compare the assumptions in your post with: "she cheated". You also refer to confirmation bias: the idea that someone is likely to give undue weight to arguments that support their prejudices. On this point I agree - most of the theories (certainly the early ones) about how she cheated are pretty fantastic, and very unlikely to be true. There are plenty of people who have already decided on what they believe, and suffering from confirmation bias regarding these people and events. Could you be one of them?
@daddyfuse50
@daddyfuse50 Год назад
@@tomonetruth of course not. The least assumptions is she's a dumb player (everyone agrees), and made a, like dnegs said, i "wont get bullied and bluffed" call not knowing how bad the hand was to do that. The most basic cheating accusation claims at least 3 of the people there were receiving signals from the hole cards, 2 of them (bryan and robbi) were too dumb to realize that was a bad spot for it, and cheated anyway. This accusation also assumes that this is basically, unbelievably, the only spot they really used this cheat - for some inexplicable reason chose a spot she was behind as the only time to use what is effectively God-mode cheat at a poker game, because none of her other hands are even suspect. This makes 0 sense.

From the beginning of this, I've always assumed that Garrett knows something concrete that we don't know, and that's why he got his money back. Garrett does not seem like the kind of guy who would ever ask for his money back just because he "felt" like he'd been cheated. I think he has concrete proof, and he's kept that private because it makes the casino look bad and he doesn't want the casino to suffer financially. And now that we know that staffer palmed $15k in chips, I feel like that's even more likely to be the case.

Therefore, if you are claiming to make sense in your statement I quoted, he must have known the concrete thing you speak of before the hand. When else did he become aware of this concrete thing if he knew it in time for it to be the reason he got his money back, which happened just after the hand? Bart, your accuracy on her peeling back the hand after he shoved is not entirely correct. If you watch her eyes closely, you will see that she only glances at her hand for 1-2 seconds out of the 14 seconds. This doesn't mean misread, but it does work in favor of a potential misread (as does her saying are 3's any good, as well as the J3 the hand before). These things do all work in favor of misread, which is why claiming 99.99% no misread is kind of silly. Also worth mentioning is that, once she sees the 2 river cards hit, she no longer is thinking about her 3, if she thought she had it at all. That's because it's counterfeit. So, she now knows she has Jack high, so flipping over her hand to see that she in fact had J4 instead of J3, while still a surprise, is less likely to get an "omg" reaction because it's fairly irrelevant at that point. Obviously, no reaction to that is very unusual, but to say that all people would react with "omg I thought I had Jack 3" is baseless because it's mind reading.

What she is is a DISEMMBLER. She has a manner of speaking such that she almost never makes straightforward declarations. She "backs over" almost everything she says so that she can tell any story she pleases on top of what she has previously said. She's EXPERT at it. She's practiced dissembling for years IMO. It's accurate to say that she lies about EVERYTHING and about NOTHING.

Also the side angle video of her stomach definitely shows her stomach shaking due to some device likely, and neither leg moves. There’s no doubt to me this guy Bryan, her and RIP were in on this. To think anyone, but especially a novice player would call that hand with a Jack high is beyond nuts!

The most blatant point of this entire hand, is the speed with which she reacts when Garrett turns over his hand. I don't think we can put her in the category of completely smoothbrained noob who cant read her hand or the board, when she instantly says "Wow! - how many times are you gonna let me do this to you?" the second after Garrett turns over his hand. Are we supposed to believe she cant read her own hand OR the implications of the boardtexture on the turn, while using a timechip, but somehow manages to do so in a split second on showdown?

I think something was very fishy… I believe she somehow knew her hand on the turn was ahead (which it was - jack high over 8 high). That explains her re-raise and if she she did have some indication her hand was ahead it could explain her all in call. Her shifting attempts to explain her actions isn’t helping her at all. It feels a lot like she is searching for an explanation people will buy not giving her actual reasoning. If she had said before the call “I think you have a small suited connector had”… or even after the hand… but she was not that quick to come up with that and fumbled for her excuse. This is also on the casino big time. This is their game and if she did somehow get an illicit heads up that her hand was ahead it is on them to thoroughly investigate and uncover how and who and plug that hole.

I didn't think you mentioned it here, but knowing the equity % (Aka she didn't know Garret's hand, but knew the equity she had in that moment through cheating) would be enough for her to be able to make calls and be green by the end of the night.. It would also explain why when she was called out, she started talking nonsense afterwards. Also - "she's peeling back her cards and looking at them" and then she said "I misread my hand".. My ass.

Another case against misreading her hand: a 3 looks nothing like a 4. If it was a 2, and she claimed she thought she had a 3, ok, maybe so. If she had a 4 and claimed she thought she had a 5, great, it happens. But the fact that a 3's pips form one line down the center of the card, (as does a 2) whereas a 4 has "2 sides" on each side of the card, it makes it really almost impossible to make this mistake of "misreading" her hand. This is popular in baccarat, players will count the sides of the card before opening it for a bit of suspense.

I think initially during the hand she thought she had a 3. But after she called she realized she doesn’t have a 3 but it’s too late. She already called. But when she realized her jack high is winning she took the opportunity to say that she read garret perfectly and called him with jack high because it would make her reading abilities look great on tv and she was gunning for garret all night. Just my 2 cents.

That would be impossible to believe. She looked at her hand at least twice with the second time being several seconds. She was asked during the hand and before the reveal if she had a 3 or a pair and she said no. There's absolutely no way she misread/thought she had a 3.

Dude... I don't think she misread her hand either, but your entire analysis is making the ludicrous assumption that she is playing this hand (and poker in general) from the same poker IQ and strategy that you are. Why on earth are you assuming that she is playing rationally and logically? Whether or not she cheated, her actions during the hand, and during all of this aftermath, are completely irrational and defy common sense over and over and over again. Trying to suss out the truth based on "well if she (insert cheated or not cheated here), then why would she (insert irrational action and speech here). There has been no rhyme or reason to anything that she has done.

WIth all the new stuff coming out, including Bryan stealing her chips, I’ve come more around to the side of something not being straight with the hand. But I don’t think the misread is as improbable as you are making it out based on what she said thereafter. It really looks like she is a little stunned and embarrassed when she tables her hand. She makes a weird facial gesture around that time. She could have misread her hand and wants to be taken seriously and is too embarrassed to admit the misread. If that’s the case, a lot of the nonsense she spouts about the hand afterward can make sense.

The most important thing in this incident at this juncture is whether or not Robbie presses charges against Bryan. If she does so, all cheating allegation will be off since Bryan will be thoroughly invested in the process of DISCOVERY. If Robbie decides NOT to press charges, cheating allegation will stay strongly against her. We will see what she will decide to do.
@Flurbskating

You don’t think she would pay him off? If they are in it together she probably just presses charges and then pays him off. Also asks the judge to let him off easy with parole or something and that all she wanted was her money back. Pressing charges vindicates no one, and he has no incentive to tell if Robbie is willing to pay him that money behind the scenes. He can easily blackmail her at this point and allow her to press charges.

Bart, a 'green beginner' would never ever contemplate the call with J high because they would just look at their hand and think 'I have nothing to call you with'. Even if they had A high or K high, a novice player wouldn't ever contemplate a call in my view. It's unfortunate that you didn't show in your video the other two occasions when she is seen lifting up her cards to check her hand. I watched the video back and she peels up the corner of her cards pre flop, on the flop and again after Garrett shoves. There may have been more times too, which weren't captured on the stream itself.

The MOST damning thing in my mind is still the fact that she gave the money back. If I had won a hand legit, no matter how stupidly I had played it, It would never in a million years occur to me to give the money back. I mean, giving the money back is something you MAYBE do if a total beginner makes some kind of procedural mistake like tabling their hand early or mucking a winner in a 1/3 game. If you luckbox a hand against Garret effin' Adelstein for 130k you sheepishly stack the chips and say "better lucky than good." Add in the whole theft business, and this thing stinks like a turd-stuffed fish in the sun.
