Some of the best players in today's games love to put tons of pressure onto their opponents in order to make them second guess their strength. Better to be the hunter than the hunted, I always say!
In today's video, Uri again leaves the solver at home and shows us a few examples of real hands that he played, each of which involves making a big river bluff. He walks us through his thought processes in these scary spots, catalogs the considerations that one should weigh when playing the part of the river bully, and shows us why you can't be afraid to pull the trigger when the situation calls for bold action.

Impressive you think through this in game. Excellent food for thought, thanks for putting out this video.

Uri, this is beautiful. The reasoning for that check-raise is truly elegant, I would have never found that with 55 - you're brilliant!

Hello! Thank you for all the content you put out, as it's very informative, valuable and entertaining! 87s hand: 1) nit-picky, but you mention blocking 4 combos of 9d8d and 77, but shouldn't villain still be able to have last combo of 77 making it 3 combos then..? :D 2) do agree that calling is not too nice, but what hands would you be targetting to c3b and then b>b/f on the river that have hero beat, as with a bluff you'd be targetting better hands? Hard to imagine villain ever folding a decent ace in-game..? Thank you!

5:31 If I were villain I'd be scared of 89 only...before I eventually called. B/c 89 would never wanted to scare away a weak A or under-pair on this board. Bluff was way underwarrantied in this hand context. I would never bluffed In this situation.

5:06 are you removing Pocket 55, 66, 89, 99, TT, JJ...A6, A7? roughly around 40 combos that would bet turn and river, and easily called a shove! 5 combos in 40 is around 12% removal (!?!?).

4:04...when I see flush draw with A, I CANNOT imagine you checked back with "Aces, overpairs, variety of hands" on a 3bet pot (?). All I can imagine is you missed flop, and checked back with flush draw, suite connectors, a speculative cards that are garbage by now.

No, we are playing very different hours and I haven't been able to catch him to schedule due to some technical difficulties. Maybe someday though :)

I always assume cashgames are dead and then I see a random hh that is ridiculous. Wtf is that flop minraise

You only 3-bet to 4x this time with 55 (while saying a bigger size is better in a previous video)

Yes, mistake! Back then I thought SB should 3bet 4x and BB 5x.

Pretty interesting, Uri. Why don't you show your bluffs that got caught and tell us what you think your mistake was ? Or maybe you did everything right but still the other person called 🤣 as a total turnoff maybe.
