If there was an award for the best folk/blues performance on RU-vid I would nominate this one.

Damn fine playing there wish more people played Old Country Blues on the mandolin found one guy who did it better than anyone I ever saw then all the sudden one day couldn't find any more of his videos on RU-vid wish I could find him again but this guy is really good Opie's around for a long time and hope he does more old timey country Blues on that mandolin

I love that they kept in the imperfections and the, at times, dissonant solo and then sort of giggled about it. Part of the charm of the whole performance. love it.

We need people like Pokey to keep the music of the past alive.

When I heard them I thought it was this band called, "yes ma'am" I was privileged to watch them live on the streets of New Orleans. Fantastic band. I still have their CD! Check them out!

I'd say Pokey deserves more than anyone else to do some Robert Johnson covers. Just the timbre of his voice, his rhythm, his playing style, everything is perfect. Certainly better than Clapton.
