@@g76agi it's still weird to say they should have worded it differently Edit: i meant it sounds like she's not human when they said "her people" that's why i thought it sounded weird.
I would like to see Poki do Moroccan theme streams like Moroccan cooking, clothes, culture, maybe even a Moroccan trip irl stream. She’s already letting her beautiful natural curly hair out. There’s a Moroccan food channel like Bohemian Kitchen that I watch all the time.
@@DarukaEon Moroccan cuisine is the 2nd or 4th best cuisine in the world! it's a shame not to see it everywhere. Couscous, Tajine, Harira, Briouate, Pastilla, Mechoui, Rfissa, Seffa, Tanjia, must be in your list "Things To Eat Before You Die" LUL
Poki's the first moroccan eng-speaking youtuber/streamer I learned of Finding out she was moroccan legit made me so happy cause I'm so used to never seeing people like me, other moroccan people in these communities.
@@Zibbit27 you’re generalizing a country over a couple incidents. That’s like saying the USA is great, but it’s too bad it’s filled with everyone shooting every child on sight and attacking every minority. Oh and California is awesome but too bad those 3 or 4 girls got trapped and t0rtur3d for 10+ years, seems like everyone there is a torturer!! You need help, lol
What a wholesome clip all around. From the beginning where she points to the store and then to herself. To being able to speak in her / one of her native languages in South Korea of all places. And then getting noticed and then asked for a photo (I think they asked). This is what irl streams are fun for 🙂
The reason to why she hasen’t is because she just doesen’t know much of her own culture anymore. Like she is completly westernized by her friends and I bet she dosen’t have that big of contact with her family either. Would be so fun to see her learn again about her own culture like visiting marocco again and having someone teach her how to make maroccab dishes. But it seems like she isen’y intrested enough to talk about her culture and learn more. Either way it’s cool to see her happy and open at least in this video to talking a bit of arabic and greeting people. I am algerian myself living in sweden so I have become westernized as well but I haven’t like let that take me in completly and stop belivinh in my religion for example. I bet her family are all muslims
@@jamyosh5977 ew dude. why you talking about her like you completely know her. i understand your perspective, but the first two sentences are a bit ek.
This has a very strange/happy vibe that I like. - Randomly finding a Morrocan restaurant named after Marrakesh (with French spelling) in South Korea, - Then walking in and saying hi in English and Arabic, A language she doesn't use to often from the streams I've watched, - On TOP of being recognized even though she's wearing a mask and looks different than usual.
@@loot3647 schools aren't very useful for us moroccans in terms of english but yes we do speak french and arabic though most of the time we only speak the dialect and are kinda bad at the formal arabic
@@PIXTO_ not true, we only share religion and some aspects of culture, in fact, we share more genetics with south europeans than with arabs, with ur logical i can say im more european than arab
@@PIXTO_ the arabs that invaded north africa in the 8th century were a few tribes, certainly not alot to change a whole population's genetics, but they heavily influenced our language and culture thats for sure
our language is way more complicated than other usual languages like english and french, morrocan darija is a mix of french, spanish, english and arabic
@@Iwbfienfjeornebdowb most of moroccans will be triggered but i think that being colonized by france was a good a thing cause now we have a lot of things from the french and the european culture
@@imdva now most of the moroccans aged under 35 knows how to speak the local language (darija) and two others which are french and arabic and some of us can speak all the previous languages plus english (the educational system has recently changed to teaching kids english as the basic international language instead of french), i think poki learned french because she was raised in canada
I can speak 3 languages and i'm sure it's not so special, in my country most of the population speaks 2 languages from childhood, and learn english in school.
Hey Imane, I don't really keep up w your channel Ngl but any time I do come across a video you always got good vibes. You look mad cute w the curls in your hair. Hope you enjoyed Korea

It's so sweet bc a lot of people when they become famous they forget where they came from it's nice to se poki still proud of her origins 🇲🇦❤️ Queen poki
Hey poki! I'm really happy to hear you're enjoying your time in Korea. I'm that fan you met at the airport 😅😅. It was really nice meeting you and I hope you enjoy your stay in Korea 😄😄
I was surprised that Pokimane knew how to speak Arabic, it wasn’t until I watched this video and googled it that I found out she’s originally Moroccan.
@@Mrgrim888 arab originally are asian ppl also not all the arabs looks the fking same there's different tribes and each tribe mixed with the locals in all of north africa and spain
whoa completely irrelevant but I used to work in the bar above, "route 66" ! (The Moroccan place wasn't there when I did work above though) but so cool that they have a place now! :D
