History doesn’t always simply ‘repeat itself’, I have multiple degrees in history and that is an oversimplified take that does not have any truth to it. Almost every situation is different in some way and context is incredibly important. By saying history repeats itself, you are not meaningfully interacting with history.

England was not arming the Czechs when Chamberlain gave away their land. If trying to de-escalate a conflict unequivocally means appeasement then there is an issue in your logic. Also, comparing Putin to Hitler is propagandistic and not based in reality. Do I like Putin? Absolutely not. But he is very different from Hitler in many ways. Those differences are important when trying to compare WW2 appeasement to NATO’s behavior in this conflict.
