The orphaned polar bear cub who arrived at the zoo with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologists in December of 2022 is practicing his problem solving skills by trying to extract a Jolly Egg toy from a pile of Christmas trees. He is still in quarantine (not in public view) as a standard procedure to protect against potential disease transmission and allow him to adjust to zoo life before he is in view. Staff updates indicate that he is adjusting really well, gaining weight and expressing his curiosity daily. Video by Curator Sam Lavin.
