POLAR FIBRE MINNOW - Fly Tying Tutorial (Baitfish - Streamer Pattern) 

This fly in a slightly bigger version, fished on a sink tip, was the ticket on our Venezuela trip. Big browns and rainbows loved it.

I like this pattern. I gathered some underwater footage while vertically jigging a 4” fry imitation and I kept missing hits while most trout were biting the head and not the tail, once I changed the hook position similar to this, I was getting hooked up.

This fly (white, black/puple, green/white) is popular in s. Florida for peacocks, bass, tarpon, and snook. Results are better for me with a varied 2 handed retrieve. Learn to tie this one w/mono and limit your flash.
