Just dived it into the sink for an hour or so. 2) According to the V800 owner the battery lifetime is better now as when the watch was brand new. I hope this answer are ok for you. Hi Alex, yes u are absolutely right. The battery I used is too wide, its a tight fit, but the capacity is better than a smaller battery. After 1 months the watch still works great. You are very welcome and I am very happy you replace yours too?! Liebe Grüße aus Graz Franz

Yes. I´ll change my V800s battery in the next time also. ATM the capacity is still acceptable, but as the replacement usually has to be ordered in china, shipment takes 2 months or even longer, so I have to get it now. SD 502530 seems to be the closest match to the generic polar battery - and best of all: I found an SD 502530 featuring 600 mAh instead of 400 mAh! :-) LG Alex

Hi Taras, yes it seems, the buttons are blocked -- you can open the watch and clean it inside --> additional you can add a silicone spray or lubricant to the buttons. Please feedback, if you need another advice or if it helped already. Greetings

Dear Zsolt Olah, I measure the battery right now for you, the length is 28,2mm, 4,6mm thick and 27,2 mm wide. I used as a replacement the 403040, but as you can see in 04:42 - this battery is wider and its hard to mount it in that place, but I used this kind of battery instead of a 402540, because of the capacity. Keep in mind the cabling needs some space, in 07:29 you can see this, I would recommend, to not use a longer battery. Regarind the operating time, I cannot say know how long the battery lasts, I do not have enough data yet. Overall if you good with small things repariering, you could use the wider battery. @@zsoltolah3499 You can remove the battery when the watch is still on, or the battery is full. Just cut the wires one by one -> see 05:35. Only take car the battery cables to not touch any of the parts and to not shortcircuit the battery.

Hey Byron, thank you for your nice words. To your question. Yes you could exchange the battery when the display is still mounted, but you need a steady hand to desolder and solder the battery cables. There is a approx. 2. mm gap to do so. If you dismount the display, you just need to take care of the very tiny ribbon cable for the display and its background light supply. Both ways are possible. You could try to do the solderning job before you start dismounting the display. I hope this helps. BR Franz

Hey Leonard, yes, I have this issue with one watch also. I am not sure what happend. Maybe the battery is not getting fully charged. The black watch I made is still good. Try to clean the contacts of the charger, might this improves the life time of the battery.... For my other watch, I propably will change the battery again. Note: I used the same battery specification. I am happy you try to fix your own stuff too. Keep me informed. Best Regards from Austria

I think I got the root cause why even changing to 503030 (barely fits but it's doable) does not help - even though the battery is of higher capacity (reliably measured 500+ mAh) Polar V800 reports a low battery already at 3.7V and switches off at 3.6V. As a result, the replacement of the original battery (measured 370mAh) to the bigger one 503030 (measured 500+ mAh) does not help to get a longer operating time. I am tired to play with different batteries, I have even swapped the battery PCB from the original one to the 503030, but the problem is still there. I believe, in most cases, it has nothing to do with a bad battery, but something with a battery controller inside the watch itself.

Hey Alfred, regarding water comes inside the watch. Was this before you have openened the watch already a problem? I fear you can't buy the sealing seperatly. Following you can try: a) Clean the watch inside, and buy a Surface Sealant (not permanent sealing) - Those are availalbe in small amounts too. You can put this in on the two watchshells sealing groove and than put the red sealing into it too. b) You could buy a 2nd hand broken watch and use this sealing ring than. If you lost you backcover, its highly recommendet to replace it too, because there its also the possiblity that water can come in. If you need any futher info, contact me on FB too. Now I try to ispected and clean the watch, the one of possibility if the leak not depend from the gasket, is the space between the glass of the screen and the metal support of the button.... in this case I try for a surface sealant...... I just use for swim not for deep water..... thanks

@@pfuisi I opened and clean the watch inside. It's dry. Gasket is right , Problem maybe is the up cover, possible water infiltration between metal support and gorilla glass screen.....I want to send you a picture of my watch problem but I don't know I can do. Thanks

@@pfuisi Hi friend, I try to put liquid sealant betwenn the glass and the metal shell of the screen. after the last swim session, marine water go inside, and the watch goes off... No display indication, never..... maybe it's damaged.... i opened after, and clean inside. I tryed to connect the power cable but noting happen..... :( I think to buy a new one, not V800....... or the last polar ( V model) or Garmin.....

@@pfuisi I opened the watch and separated the glass screen (gorilla) from the metal shell. Water come inside in the upper corner on the left...... If someone have the same problem but with the watch on, seal the glass to the body and after close the watch without electronic circuit and ceck for leak.....

The Polar was stored for about 5 months in your box with all carefuls, and because of that it was completely discharged, because it was in my university lab (due to pandemic). Since yesterday i'm trying to charger the equipment, but to no avail. Do you think that with the battery change it will work again? Thanks again for support . Adalberto

Hi @@adalbertojr4263, this is odd. When I repaired the V800, it was working, even the battery was totally gone. I could just connect the charger, then It worked normally, when I unplugged the watch from the charger the display went off. But sometimes, a broken battery could prevent to power up the battery with a charger (I never had it but its a possibilty). I would suggest to unmount the housing of your watch. And take a closer look too the battery and charging port. Sometimes there is corrotion even inside. You could try to clean the inside and connect the charger again. Leave the charger on the watch for a longer period of time (1 hour or so, even no light goes on). According to your storage history in a box and the fact the watch was working before, it can be still related to the battery. 1) If you have a 3.7V battery laying around or a adjustable DC-POwersupply you can try to disconnect the battery and directly power the watch with the test battery or the DC-Supply. The watch should switch on. If this is working, then for sure the battery is the issue. The replacement battery is quite cheap, so you could order it, depending on your location it could take a couple of days until weeks to receive the replacement. You can try 1) and see if its really the battery. Take care. When disconnecting the battery, the wires should not touch any of the PCB parts, nor shortcircuet! If you figured out, that the battery is the problem source you can replace it. To unmount the display isn't necessary, but if you do, take care with the display connectors - they can be damaged easily. Please keep me updated.

Hay Moulay E, hm, this is not an easy fix. You could try to dry it with a hairdryer and or soak it in a base water. But might this won't solve the issue. You can always find a lot of P800 watches on second hand portals for a little money (most of them have a broken battery). Greetings from Austria PFuisi

Hi Alex, das freut mich. Der kleine Metallrahmen kommt unter die Barometer Platine. Bei Min: 07:00 ist der Platz für den Metallrahmen zu sehen, dort wo mein Daumen der rechten Hand ist. In Min 7:52 siehst du diese Platine wieder montiert (linke Seite), unter dieser Platine befindet sich der Rahmen. Er geht nur in einer Richtung rein. Beim Video drehen ist mir das gar nicht so aufgefallen, dass solche Feinheiten auch gut wären zu zeigen. Ich muss meine Reparier-Videos weiter optimieren. Ich hoffe, die Antwort ist verständlich und du kannst deine Uhr wieder zusammenbauen. Übrigens: Total super, dass du altes/ kaputtes wieder in Gang bringst! LG Franz

Hi, I am not sure if the a370 battery can be replaced easily. I haven't one in my hands yet. So following are my guess: The housing is sealed with glue, it seems. But for sure it will be possible to replace the battery, only if the watch is waterproof after replacement is not guaranteed. Just try to open the watch carefully and check the battery size. Then order a battery and replace it. A soldering kit is needed. Afterwards seal it with glue. Good luck.

Hey Mallepower, vielleicht gibts ein Problem mit der a) Ladebuchse, versuche diese zu reinigen. b) Kontrolliere die Batteriekabel, vielleicht wurden diese im Gehäuse beim Zusammenbau irgendwie geklemmt. c) wenn das schon bevor du die Batterie getauscht hattest, das selbe Problem war, könnte auch das Ladekabel/ das Ladegerät defekt sein. Ich hab eines auf Reserve, das kann ich dir schenken... d) irgendwelche Brücken mit dem Lötzinn, kontrolliere das noch bei den Kontakten. e) Falls du das Display abgebaut hattest, Könnte auch die Hintergrund Beleuchtung hier Schwierigkeiten machen. Steck die beiden Flachbandkabel nochmals neu ein f) Display abbauen und die gesamte Platine mit destilliertem Wasser und Wattestäbchen reinigen. Wenn das alles nicht hilft, gibts in den Wiederverkaufsbörsen viele V800 mit schlechter Batteriekapazität oder kaputtem Gehäuse für wenig Geld. Und diese kannst du dann in dein Gehäuse einbauen. Ich hoffe das hilft dir. P.S.: Ich freue mich sehr, dass du vermeintlich Kaputtes nicht einfach wegeirfst, sondern es reparierst. LG Franz

You can find the battery on Alibaba or others. Replacement battery suitable for the V800: Original size of the battery: The original battery is 4.4 mm thick, 28 mm wide and 30 mm long! I used a sligthly bigger battery: length is 28,2mm, 4,6mm thick and 27,2 mm long. Decide before you purchase! Note the sizes of the batteries varies a little too.

@@pfuisi thank you! My polar v800 freezes and does not connect with flow so I cant factory reset it. What shall I do? Soft reset does work but then when you press settiings or try to connect with device it freezes.

@@dss915 you are welcome. Have you tried hard reset? Reset your V800 by pressing and holding the UP, DOWN, BACK and LIGHT buttons simultaneously for five seconds until the Polar animation is shown on the display.

Viele meiner Freunde und Bekannten wollen englische Videos, 80% der Abonnenten auf meinem Kanal sind international und können kein Deutsch.
