Try disconnecting the positive battery lead from the battery & leave disconnected for an hour or two, that should clear any error/fault codes on the ECM until they occur again.
If it's a fault code you will need to remove the power for a while to wipe it, if the fault persists the code or C.E.L will re-appear, read it with the Polaris fault code reader which is available as a special service tool designed for remote users or take it to a Polaris dealer, turning it off at the key will do nothing to remove the fault code.
unfortunately, mileage isnt saved in ECU. what this means is you have a bunch of high mileage RZR's out there with 20 miles . these guys are just buying new gauges
