Thank you David Johnson for developing my grandfather’s 1979 Polaris 440 to that he beat the living piss out of, and for helping support Minnesota’s economy, and providing very many people including my grandfather a job, may you Rest In Peace after founding the biggest snowmobile and ATV company in the world.

My tribute to Mr. Johnson: I just bought a brand new Polaris 800 Rush Axys. Thank you for your dedication to the sport of snowmobiling, and making the best sleds in the world. I can still remember my first ride on my Dad's Polaris when I was 5 years old. I was instantly hooked, and remained brand loyal all these years.

What a beautiful tribute this is, we need more men like him. His story of dropping bags of candy from an airplane at Christmas was moving. Rest In Peace.

Growing up in Wisconsin in the 50's and 60's Polaris became a constant in our lives. More good memories than I can count. Thank you Mr. Johnson. May you rest in peace.

That story of the Christmas candy is wonderful! Sometimes a gesture like that is worth more than a extra few bux on a paycheck.

He seemed like a very humble and caring human being who cared mostly about happiness for others. Also, without him I wouldn't be able to enjoy my Polaris RMK. Thank you David. RIP.

Don't know if he had any direct input on my 2003 800 XCR. But I'm sure he had a lot of influence on what came before it, to form the last triple Polaris ever built. It was, hands down, the best, and fastest snowmobile I ever owned. Can't believe I was stupid enough to sell it.
