Matt McHugh there tanks! I absolutely rail on mine and never had any problems due to it, mine is a 05 trail sled so a bit different but I love playing in powder aswell and holding it wide up and praying to not get stuck!
We picked up a mint 2011 LXT this year and are very happy with it. It's like riding a dirt bike, it goes over and through pretty much anything. Hoping to add another to the pack so we can both ride in comfort.
I think it's the same engine, not really sure though. I also think they still make this sled. It's probably most like the indy 121 but a bit longer. The rmk will be more narrow which you'll notice more than the lenght.
Yea it's a great trail sled for beginners, doesn't turn very well being so long but smooths out the bumps more than a shorter track model. Also being a fan cooled unit its crazy reliable.
@@MattMcHugh257 Thanks Matt! We're looking at one for ice fishing and taking the kids on rides and pulling them on sleds. No major trail riding I dont think. Sounds like the perfect sled then.
I read on a forum that the 550's are UN-reliable, and that they're always having issues. Yet, everywhere else I look, including in the comments below, is that the 550 motor is very reliable and lasts for years. Im hoping mine stays reliable.
I haven’t done much research on the engine so not sure what others are saying, but I will say mine has had the absolute crap best out of it for the 2 years and 1500 miles I’ve had it and it runs amazing.
