I installed the Marshall 2.5" Lift after watching you do the same. The manufacture of that lift states that you can fit a 30" tire with no rubbing issues and without replacing the a-arms. You state in this video that there are no rubbing issues but in a future video, you install a-arms citing rubbing issues. Can you shed some light on what rubbing issues you experienced? Where did it rub, what damage did it cause? looking to find out what I'm getting into before ordering tires. Thanks in advance and keep up making these videos. They are great and very helpful!
When I first installed my 30 inch carnivores they did not rub but I was just driving around the yard. When I took it trail riding it was a whole different story. When I put the steering wheel full lock one way and the shock was compressed by a rut or hill it rubbed. If you watch my first trail video after math. I explain everything that happened and show the damage it did to my skid plate. Some 30 inch tires say they are 30 but when you measure them they are like 29 inches. Carnivores are a true 30 inch tire. My only option was to buy forward a arms and they haven't rubbed since installed. Hope this helps you out. Thanks for watching!
I have 28's on my General...love them.....yours look way over inflated though (from the dirt on the tread at the end of the video), try 9 psi in the fronts and 10 in the rears
Nice video. Should step back and let everyone see how it looks from a distance and driving around. Backspacing on the rims? Keep the vids coming! Great job
Went ahead and ordered the same set of wheels and tires off their website and haven’t heard back from them in over a week. Hopefully they are a reputable company. They sure didn’t hesitate to take my money.
@@UTVDIRT I’ve called 4 times and nobody ever answers. I finally received 1 email from them saying they would have it shipped Monday 6/21 and still haven’t heard anything.
Love all the videos guys keep them coming. I have same machine. How does it handle the 30's without a clutch kit? I'm putting 30's on mine as well. Some say do a clutch kit, some say dont bother. What say you?
I did a clutch n tune kit and love it. The machine is not jerky anymore on take off and it's a lot quicker with the tune. I would recommend the clutch and tune. Also, if you put 30s on you will need forward a arms do to rubbing issues with the front tires. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! I didn't want to take the chance of rubbing with the wider and taller tire. If I would of went with a bigger lift I probably would of went wider. Thanks for watching!
First off, love the vids, so much useful info! I bought a 19 ranger 1000 and can't wait to accessorize mine. I do have two questions. Is there anything that you would do different? Is there any purchase that you do not necessarily regret but wish you had gone a different route?
Thanks! That's a good question. I like all the mods I have done but I'm worried about the 50 inch light bar getting damaged when I trailride. We go down some tight trails so it might get damaged by a tree branch or something. However it wasn't that expensive and I like using the light bar on my property doing chores and what not. Overall though I like everything I have put on this unit. Thanks for watching!
The wheels /look great! I’m in the process of buying wheels and tires for my ranger 1000. Do you know the largest size tire I can use on my stock ranger?
Looks Awesome, Could you do me a favor and measure the total height of the tires as they sit on the machine? I would like to do this setup on my sportsman 1000xp and wondering how close they are to a true 30inch around 5 to 10 psi. Thanks so much and keep up the great videos 👍
You are sitting 4inches taller now. After riding it do you feel your center of gravity is much higher? Does the machine feel a little more tippy? I'm doing a 2.5inch lift with 30 inch tires and I was considering spacers for more stability
Yes your center of gravity feels higher. I have not installed spacers yet but I agree with you on adding them. It should help with stability and top heavy feel.
how is this going to go with stability as you have really increased your center of gravity might want to be careful on the side of a hill but looks great
Great Video!! I just pulled the trigger on a ranger and looking at getting the same wheel set up you guys have. Could you tell me why you chose the MSA 20 over the 33?
Nice! Congrats on your new Ranger! They are both nice rims but I liked the way the MSA 20 looked on my Ranger. Either way you cant go wrong with the MSA rims. Thanks for watching!
UTV DIRT Thanks for the quick reply! Do the 20’s stick out more due to the 3.5 + 3.5 offset on the ranger? Because the 30’s have a offset of 4+3, I’m just trying to get it close to stock offset.
I think you would still need to do lift kit but you can try forward a arms first and see if they clear. Then you can pick up lift kit if needed at reasonable price.
I love em. They are very good in the mud and the spacing between the lugs on tires are nice and help with clearing out. They are probably the best all terrain tire out there in my opinion. I cant wait to try them in the snow this winter.
Great! Thanks. I am limited to a 7’ door height on my garage at the deer lease. Glad that I can keep clear of having to modify the door opening… 30’s and HL a-arms are on their way! BTW, I ordered the LED headlights and reverse lights due to your review. Thanks again!!
Mike do you get a lot of Street rumble with those carnivores? I have highlifter mufflers on mine and the whole utv rattles when I’m on pavement. Way too aggressive of a tire for everyday use. I would like to grab some of these but was concerned I’d have same issue.
