The video is a quick review on the Stage 1 turbo kit by DDM Works. Very happy so far, I have had it all summer long. No issues and love the extra almost 100HP!!!!!!!!!!

I just made a deal on a 2015 turbo charged with tons of add ones; too many to list. I'll see it in person tomorrow and test drive it and bring it home the next SUNNY DAY. CAN'T WAIT!

Nice build man! I would ditch the Silicon hose. They're not the best, I've had a few pop off over the years. Your best upgrade next is a aluminum one. No flex = more powaaaa!

Yeah, that does seem odd .... wonder if it's because of clearance ... I'd have a sold pipe with a short silicone coupler at the throttle body .... one that doesn't expand and contract

I recently rented a 2016 Slingshot with my gf, and I come from a motorcycle background. I was expecting to be a bit underwhelmed like on the BRP Ryker, but these Slingshots are extremely fun! Even stock, it sounds great, and pulls good, making tire squeel when shifting in 2nd gear. I really didn't feel it needed more power, I was constantly looking at the speedometer not to go twice the speed limit...and since most of the weight is on the front wheels, there's limited traction on the rear wheel. It wasn't hard to break the rear wheel lose on street corners. Really a lot of fun and even if I own 2 motorcycles, I would consider buying one of these when prices drop, just more pleasant for the passenger.

Thanks for your review! Just picked up a 2016 SL and want to throw a turbo kit on it. Did DDM works talk to you about longevity of the stock engine with this turbo? Also, can you hear the turbo spool when under wide open throttle?

Yeah I spoke to them about longevity which was a concern for me as well. For pretty much all the kits once you get above 7-8 PSI of boost for any of the Stage 2 kits you need to start building/rebuilding the motor but as long as you leave it at the settings for the stage 1 kit there should not be any issues. I know their kits have been out for a few years and they stated they have people with 50-60k on them and not an issue. I put maybe 2k on mine this year and zero problems so far With the exhaust in the stock location its difficult to hear the turbo while driving, Under load with music you can hear the BOV and also the waste gate no issues, as for the initial spooling not as much. Then again like I said the exhaust is pretty loud and is basically in the passenger seat lol. I know testing it with the hood off after install you could hear it clear as day.

About to pull the trigger for the BF deal 2600 with the predilled pan. My biggest concern is the oil pan install. Did you have any issues?

No I took my time with it, made sure to clean off all the original seal with some steel wool and razer blade. Used the gasket provided with some sealant and no issues. I'm sure if I had to drill it myself it would have been a pain for sure.

Nice kit. So, that AEM wideband sensor only hooks up to the vacuum line? How does it gather the air fuel ratio from your exhaust then?

There is a sensor/bung that goes into the exhaust that comes with the kit. You need a 2nd hole for this to go in.

I would purchase it again. The install went smooth and I have had no issues since. The power gains make it even more fun to drive and as I said in the video my main complaint was passing power on the highway which is no longer an issue.

Great video. With the stage 1 , did DDM recommend adding headers and exhaust ?

It comes with a race exhaust, The headers I already had really just comes down to preference. I was looking at a rear exit exhaust but it was back ordered at the time so I cancelled it.
