Polaris Sportsman vs Can-Am Outlander: Which ATV is the BEST? (2022) 

My Can am rear storage is used for emergency gear. Jumper cables, tire plug kit, tools, and more. I don't need these every day so I'm happy with the rear storage.

I would have liked to hear them running. The muffler location on the CAN-AM is interesting. I wonder if there's any notable difference in seat temp when riding.

Hey bro, TYVM for the education. I m new to ATV world. I m planning on buying one shortly. Having hard time deciding amongst CAN AM, POLARIS, HONDA N YAMAHA... DO YOU work at ATV dealership?

I never had much luck with my can am 1k !! Love the quad, but it doesn’t love me

I have a 2021 Polaris 450 with 1000 miles and a 2018 Polaris 450 with 1600 miles both have been flawless machines, I am not against can am but the local dealer I don’t care for while I like the two different Polaris dealers I deal with, so to me that is the big thing, go talk to your local dealers and find one that you like, also one that has a good service department and for me a parts department, because I like to do my own maintenance. There was one comment about the Polaris shifter and hitting it with your knee, I have never had that happen, I am 6’1 250 lbs and my kids are all tall, and we all trail ride in hilly rough terrain and this has never been a complaint, we don’t mud ride much but don’t see where this would matter? Also when shopping be careful of dealer fees compare dealers prices, don’t worry about monthly payment, find out total price with fees, but remember all dealers don’t charge same fees, and the ones who charge high fees usually have service departments that are trying to screw you over to

I work at a local dealer that sells both units, both have their problems so its really personal preference really when it comes to that atv or sxs you really want. both have plenty of power and get the job done, but the can am is a lot easier to work on if that helps anyone with their decision.

u miss the mark pilgrim. U did not mention the 450 is HO. And it really is almost 500 cc on the Polaris.

Good video, but your bias toward the Polaris is obvious. Have both, and the CanAm is definitely the better quad, IMHO. The Polaris does have a better ride, but the Outty out pulls, and out does it on the trails.

Bought two Polaris 570’s and two polaris 450’s two years ago, all 4 have some kind of issues, nothing major just things like the dash cluster flashes on and off like there is a short, another one will periodically just stop running during idle not while under throttle, one keeps fouling the spark plug. Like I said nothing major but all have been into the service department to much for my taste, I’m prob going to give can am or another brand a try never owned anything but Polaris

I’m an A tech certified master of BRP and Polaris and you should correct your statement. Both are great quads, but Polaris is much much easier to work on. BRP is like Audi, much more over engineered.

bean counters at Polaris took away: brush guards on drive axles, leaving PCV boots exposed, grease nipples, glove boxes, metal oil reservoir replacing it with plastic and who knows what else? maybe they went with cheaper softer metal on critical drive components. I honestly wonder if they didn't choose a cheaper metal to cut costs. That bean-counting mentality strips away at a product's quality. Once bean counters go to work, it really makes me back off a company's product.

canam seems like a better option all the way

So you have to compare an upgraded Polaris model to base Outlander to make it fair? And you ignored 2 big items that suck on the polaris. The gear shifter is an asinine design. Hits your knee sticking out like that. Also, the gas tank is high, and fill is under the handle bars. Hard to get too. Hard not to make a mess. Outlander gear shift is out of the way. Gas tank loe under seat and fill on rear fender. Easy to access.

Sorry thats not dry storage up front on the polaris bud we own one and everything get wet up there when it rains PS great video

Buy a CF Moto, you get lots of bang for your buck and you won’t be disappointed.

The choice is easy….. I’d buy a Honda.

450 is not a lot of quad😢 I'm assuming cats out at 55 mph
