I've just finished bingewatching all the 5 seasons of Poldark. I love it so much! What a great experience, Wensdae!

Love the chemistry between Aidan and Eleonor. I was hooked watching it.

Great series and acting, loved the views of the Cornish coast and customs and culture portrayed, all the plots and sub plots, the beautiful English spoken too by the aristocratic actors and the Cornish dialect spoken by the commoner actors, my minor criticism is that series 5 got too much into the French revolution and may have been better continuing the war between Ross and George but i know they by the books of Graham the author. It was a great series that asked some pertinent questions about love transcending classes and the way the aristocracy treated ordinary folk in general.

I miss them terribly too. And I agree wholeheartedly!

Hi, Virginia, it seems a long while ago now since the series finished, I just loved it, I preferred it to the original Poldark, which was very good also, I started watching ‘Outlander’ five years ago, Wow! It is truly amazing, I must have re-run it a dozen times or more, and I still find it and the phenomenal actor’s very addictive, of cause you have to be a hopeless romantic to enjoy it, it is on a par with ‘Poldark’ maybe you are watching it! but the virus has put a stop to it for now at the end of season five, apparently there are five more to go! Problem is it is unlikely I will still be around to see the conclusion! If I am it will be a bonus!!! thank you for your reply, Take Care, cheers from the U.K.

@@bernicebest I actually feel I know Ross and Demelza. Their acting is so convincing! I love them so much! I started watching Outlander. It is very good but I don't feel that personal touch as in Poldark. Lots of scenes in Outlander are very difficult to watch. But the actors are also amazing. Actors from the UK, Ireland etc are phenomenal!

Hello, Virginia, I know what you are saying, I must admit I have to edit out certain scenes, but after all these years I still find it intriguing, and the actors are phenomenal, mostly home grown! apart from Caitriona, plus I adore Scotland my second home, and of cause Scottish History, I wouldn’t mind a second helping of ‘Poldark’ though! I did read that Aidan wasn’t all that keen on ageing for a second series! Shame, as I think he would look very distinguished and dare I say it sexy! He always preferred theatre 🎭 apparently, I think it is time for a re-run of the whole series! Now, where have I put those t.v. controls, it is very nice of you to take the time to reply, take care, from a true Sassenach, cheers 🥂

POLDARK MOVIE MADE AIDAN FAMOUS AND A LOT OF GOOD ACTING IN

Season 5 was a disappointment. I couldn’t see the point of bringing in new characters like Kitty and Ned when the older, more established characters were left in the shadows. I wanted a happy ending for Ross Jr., I mean Valentine. He was treated so poorly.
