Odd, unprovoked question: I know you noodle because it's fun, but would it be illegal to put a screen door on the box and just close it? Flip the box over and pick it up or drag it to shore? Fish would be like a stick of dynamite, might require a barge crane or winch and reinforced boxes. But the laws are different down there, would that be legal?

That’s going to be as handy as can be. All you need now is a counter top and a old kitchen sink with water and a long drain line and you can skin some fish in a hurry.

Have you ever used a water level Jeff? The poor man’s transit, all you need is a length of plastic tubing and some water. Since water will always seek its own level, you can use it to set levels as far as your tubing is long. I learned to use one helping the Old Man level trailers. No delicate transit to baby. You can just drain the water and throw it in the truck till you need it next time.
