I actually feel really annoyed now that I’ve been struggling with invert in classes for 5 months and NO ONE ever told me that the pole shouldn’t be in your armpit 😂 you don’t know what a godsend this video is, wish you were my pole teacher!
I’ve been poling for up to a year now and couldn’t get the invert at all only to realise I had the pole IN MY ARMPIT and now I can do it💪🏾I wish someone had told me sooner tho😅😂
Omg when she showed how not to invert, that's how I do it haha. Thank you so much for this! I had to rewatch and take notes because the information was so clearly explained
I literally just did my first invert after teaching myself pole for 2 years. This was the one trick I wanted to master. Your instruction makes everything so simple. I barely have upper body strength and I’ve been able to execute most of the tricks I thought I “wasn’t strong enough for,” simply by following your videos step by step. Thank you Anete!
Hi Anete, I just wanna say that you have the gift of teaching and this is the best video on pole invert that I found on youtube. It is straight-forward, no silly music playing on the background, no showboating and just useful information all around. I wish you are my teacher in real life. I have been having trouble cleaning up my inverts and trying to figure out how to hook my legs properly for leg hangs. I tried all these exercises yesterday and my leg hook feels really secure now! The last exercise helps a lot. My weaker side inverts feel stronger too. Thank you for this video! And keep doing what you do. I appreciate you ❤️
Thank you very much for such a sincere feedback🥰 Im very happy that this helps you to progress, very glad. Thank you💜 If you have any request for future videos feel free to write here👌
@@AneteBlaua Thanks for replying, Anete. One of the technique that I find hard to master is invert on a spinning pole. I dunno why it is so hard for me since my friends found it easier. I find static invert much easier. If you have tips on how to conditing for spinning pole, it will be great! 🙏❤️
Valentina B thank you so much:)) Yes, I have one, start aerial inverts as soon as your pole invert is good. The sooner the better. And as often as you can. When they get easier make sure you catch up the quality, pointy toes, straight legs.:)
@@AneteBlaua thanks for your reply. I've started practicing them and they are doing better. I definitely have one side stronger than the other and I definitely struggle with the outside leg hang on weak side. I think exercise 5 you have illustrated here it's the key to solve my problem :D
Anete I started poling 4 years ago I was so into it and even trained at body and pole for awhile. then I went to grad school and stopped training and felt very discouraged and sad about how much progress I lost. I have a pole at home would touch it on and off. I decided during the COVID quarantine I’ll start seriously training again and I found your videos. I found the fun in pole again and feel excited to learn and train! You break down everything so well and I’m focusing on getting perfect form and avoiding injuries and training both sides. I’m from the US but I wish I could come train at your studio. You’re my online pole fairy idol lol! Xoxo stay safe during these times
Thank you so much for this amazing message. I am very happy that you found a new motivation, and that I can help in some way. This means very much🙏 I know that starting over again is harder than starting the first time. Good luck, stay safe, train safe and the best of luck and courage to you💜
The beginner demo you did, is me all the way! Thanks for the exercises. I haven't practiced in 5 years. I am way back to starter. I have to start all over again.
Your video is so helpful! I just did my first proper invert after watching. I’ve been kicking off the floor and hitting the pole in the process...needless to say, there will be so much less bruising in the future and I will look more graceful on the pole❤️
Thank you! I've been trying to learn how to do an invert for years, I even injured my back and had to stop pole dancing because I could only throw my body up. My teacher is a wonderful lady, but she never explained how to do it, she just expected us to watch her and know. But this was extremely helpful, you're an amazing teacher.
Thank you very much for the comment💜 I am very happy that this video could help you, technique is very important and I am glad that my explanation seemed clear.🙏
This is probably one of the best tutorials of how to invert I’ve seen. Great job breaking down all the stages and providing great conditions exercises. Ill definitely be including these in my practice.
I thought I wasn’t gonna be able to invert for months, because I didnt know I had to tilt myself back and I did my first invert right after watching this! Thank you so much
This helped amazingly with the tuck and tilt - my back naturally curves when I’m stood up so I do have to be aware of what I’m doing with my back, so thank you!! Good news is I got up there, bad news is once I hook a leg I freeze up and am scared to move anything else in case I fall, so I’m just stuck up there like an upside-down idiot slowly sliding down to the floor, but hopefully I’ll get stronger and more confident with it soon!
It's all very well explained 🙏 I've been training pole dance for two years and I'm not doing the invert. I already know why 🙈 I'm going to get to practice 💪 Thank you very much 🙏
Thx for the nice and detailled description. I'm a totally beginner and on monday nothing works. No invert, no outside leg hang- very disappointing! Today i will try you're exercises. Thank u so much.
super helpful especially with the hands lower tip! I finally got my invert but I can only do it with the momentum which is great and all, but like you said it causes a lot of injuries so I really want to learn to do it with control. I will practice these! Thank you!
I have been watching your videos for awhile and it motivated me to try pole fitness and I signed up for my first pole class and we did the inverts and I struggled so badly but I want to try with your advice. Thank you so much for this tutorial
This is such a great video! This is the first time I see someone mention this "pulling up" before inverting. I feel it makes a difference and makes me feel more secure. Can you comment more about what this step helps with? Thank you Anete! ❤️❤️
It helps to get the pole above your hip bone not on your ribs, it helps to hook the leg after above your hands. Your butt moves closer to pole because of it and you are most likely to hold a chopper postition rather then jump and tilt back and hook the fooot and then try to grip 10x until your knee really holds
Thank you very much for this video! I will try these exercises because when I invert my butt is very low and it doesn't look good + when I go into an outside leghang I have to pull myself up with my leg or else I don't have the pole in the hollow of my knee, I think the last exercise is perfekt for that! :) Do you do workshops in Germany?
Been doing pole for 3 years already and my biggest struggle is inverting and hooking outside leg, I can't do this on a clean move. But I will put this advises to work, I hope I can make it.
tengo 60 años-peso 75 y mido 1.55-me cuesta bastante.pero con vos ANA FABULOSO PASO A PASO-ES IMPOSIBLE NO AVANZAR.gracias desde ARGENTINA-AFFECTION DEAR FOR YOU
Thank you so much for the video! It's so detailed! Can you explain what muscle to engage when doing the tilting? Is it pulling up lower abs or just extending arms? My bum sometimes just drops before I attempt to tilt. Also, I find it much harder with the heels on. Any tips or techniques please? Sending lots of love from Hong Kong! ☺️
Hi Anete, I'm currently working on trying to get my invert, but every time I try, my ribs hurt, when trying to lift my hips and when I dismount at the end. I still can't get my legs all the way up and back, I would say I get half way the invert but not all completely, the pain is really annoying. I'll try this movements and see how it goes. Great video!
Hey, its because you are not pulling up, this video is perfect for you. Dont do invert unil you have learned how to pull up properly, after you tuck and only then you shift back. Pole should be just above your hip bone not on your ribs. Be careful, traun safe. 💜🙏
Ok I have to ask, do you lift weight in the gym as well as pole dance? Because you are so strong you make everything look so effortless 😭 you have my dream physique so I hope to look as strong as you one day! Thanks for your videos!!!
Great explanation. Love it!!! I wish you came to NYC. I don't have a pole at home yet. But should get it. If I start on a spinning pole, how hard/easy will it be to transition to stationary pole? Are there any grip exercises for when one doesn't have a pole at home to do between classes and improve hand-grip strength. FYI. You are amazing!
Thank you so much💜 I would love to visit NYC one day.😊 From static to spinning pole is a bit harder than the other way around I think, so it shouldnt be a problem. Just some things are different on each of this. Well the best thing you can do is strenghten your body, work with you shoulders, planks, push etc.helps very much. Callisthenic exercises are the best for pole dancers. Everything is connected, the grip strength is not just about the grip, it also depends on your shoulders, upper back and core, muscle coordination is very imporant.
It depends how ready do you feel. If can lift yourself even with a help of a jump and feel in control, I guess you can start trying to invert. Just remember going down with control is as important as invert itself.
I still can't do this :( strengthwise and also mentally. My brain just panicks because it is so unusual to have your head down and legs up. But I will keep on trying :) thanks for the video
Hi I have been having pain near my rib and It started ever since I started practicing my inverts 2 months ago, it still hurts till this day especially when I practice inverts, do you think this is possible when doing one incorrect ? My instructor did not teach me to tuck my pelvic in so I was never doing that basically I was kicking into it all these months. Have you ever experienced rib pain or know anybody who has a similar issue ? I’m so sad and worried bc I don’t want to take a break from pole but I think I might have to if I strained some muscle in that area.
I have had rib pain, when I couldnt inhale properly, but at that point my diaphragm broke, so I needed to take it easy for 2 weeks or so. But not sure of thats your case, I would definetely suggest a physio and/ or a scan to see what has happened. And after that a physiotherapist can give you tools how to fix it as fast as possible.
