Obviously, you are going to want a pole saw AND a bow saw, if you have a lot of trees to trim, or if you need to trim branches that are out of your reach, but which saw actually cuts better?
Saws I use (or mention) in this video:
DocaPole Pole Saw - amzn.to/3e7J1YT
Bahco Bow Saw - amzn.to/324wVdi
Silky Katanaboy Professional 650mm Folding Saw - amzn.to/2PSQMcT - Note: Amazon didn't list any Silky pole saws when I searched, but I know that you can find them if you Google it.

Get the Silky blade replacement if it has the same mounting holes. Silky and corona probably have the best saw blades and last alot longer than bow saw blades

Ok.... I was asking myself if that was a fire station and then...... bam! Yes it is! Brother you need a chain saw on the end of that pole.... makes life so much easier! I do admit though it's probably useful for really high branches and way safer than me on a ladder with a long chain saw swinging around over head. I appreciate the honest review of the product. I saw it slip while you were sawing that under cut, which you were quick to point out!

Hey there, KT. I am drawn to these manual saws here lately. Maybe it is the maintenance involved with chain saws that makes me want to go that route. My chainsaw is finicky. I have a couple oaks with high widow-maker dead branches that I need to get down. I got distracted after I picked up the pole saw, so I haven't got around to it yet.

@@PatrickParsonWorkshop I am with you on the maintenance side of things. I am not a small engine guy. That's why I love my Ego 60V battery powered tools. So far they have done me right. Honestly my go too is the battery powered chain saw and pole saw, and a dewalt saws all with a nice big pruning blade. It's honestly amazing what a reciprocating will work through in a hurry with the right blade.

That might be a good video - Comparing my manual saws and the reciprocating saw. I might be using the wrong blade when I use the reciprocating saw for branches because I don't know that it's any faster than the bow saw. I also got a new Silky saw that I haven't tried yet. I know there are some different niches that they fit...and pros and cons about each, but would be fun to just compare the speed that they cut a two inch diameter green limb.

What size Bahco Bow Saw do you recommend for a tall muppet? (21", 24", or 30")
@PatrickParsonWorkshop
@PatrickParsonWorkshop 3 года назад
I would say the 21 or 24. For tree and bush trimming, here are the tools I use: A lopper, a pull saw (you already have that), the Bahco Bow Saw, and a pole saw. With those tools, you can do just about anything. The Bahco Bow Saw is a little more aggressive than the pull saw. The pull saw is probably the best kept "secret" for cutting limbs that you can reach...I don't think many people would think to use it that way.

Haha. Tall muppet.

I’m quite short snd small, so do you think I would be able to use a pole saw?

That saw is too big for a muppet. : P

@@microhomesteadecology - Yep...that's my wife. You'll see her commenting on all my videos. Mostly because I ask her to comment so my video can get promoted. lol. I don't know if that is working at all, but it is worth a try.

Looked hard work with all the extensions collapsed so would be useless at full extension!
