Apparently this is a thing ferrets/polecats will do, ferret owners call it the "ferret war dance", they do it when they're excited or they've found prey, and for other reasons. It is supposed to show enjoyment/happiness and they will even smash into objects while doing it, not graceful but very adorable. Great footage
thanks, that's really interesting. I knew Stoats dance to confuse and get closer to their prey. This is a mating display though, he chases just the female to mate!
