Definitely raise children, Caleb. One of my choir buddies from my old Unitarian Universalist congregation (I have since moved) is a gay man who is raising a daughter with a lesbian couple. He's the bio dad and one of the women is the bio mom. They are all doing a fantastic job as parents of the girl. She's in her teens now and is such a kind and wise young woman. More than that, she is genuinely happy and healthy.
gianmarco, the youtube thing is paying off. i watched you on YMIW and then you’ve been all over my youtube shorts feed. youtube liking you is kind of why i’m here. enjoying the pod!
Please have Caleb on regularly to check in on how life is going for the three of you!! Y’all giggle sooooo much together and it’s such a nice chemistry! I also love any KC mentions, so this show really nailed it for me ❤ Also, I’m sure Caleb is tired of hearing it, but as a fellow farm queer, you give off Cam from Modern Family energy in only the best of ways! You are such a treasure!! Thank you for being so openly you!! It can be hard for anyone in the queer community to want to be out and open but you really hit the nail on the head with the whole ‘we don’t need any more fake allies or celebrities claiming to be apart of the community without representing us whole heartedly’. Just nice to hear open, honest conversation that doesn’t come from a hateful place but a place of understanding and educating! Incredible job!! ((P.S. I think an airline you guys might be interested in is Southwest when possible? Southwest has it’s problems, don’t get me wrong, but they are the best seats I’ve ever been in as a smaller sized human, and my father, who is a bigger man in both height and weight, with a disability as well, preferred their seat sizes when flying as well! Doesn’t feel as much like a lawn chair with fabric around it, if that makes sense? The first rows don’t have tray tables, but they have more leg room, and the leg room is larger in the emergency rows as well! Most tall people I know just try for an early boarding pass because there are no assignments for seating. Plus, free snacks and free soft drinks, and I’ve received free drink vouchers just for flying SW airline before. It doesn’t go everywhere, but it’s definitely worth looking into! ))
Caleb plzzzzzz have babies theres a family in my hometown (rural Massachusetts) that had that situation of 2 gay dads & 2 gay moms. Regardless of if u do it that way you'd b an amazing parent
38:18 Raised goats a lot of my childhood and three years of my adult life, (in Montana and Idaho) wouldn’t recommend straight from the tit because there are usually are things like grass or whatever the goat has been rolling in. That’s what cheesecloths are for, we strained them a couple of times. Fresh goats milk in your cereal is definitely worth it being warm, but my favorite part was leaving some in a mason jar in the fridge and in the morning there would be the perfect layer of cream for our coffee. Nothing better. Also, I’m lactose intolerant so it made it so I could eat cereal and drink coffee without shitting my pants. Gianmarco should visit a goat farm
Hey! There was no existential dread at the end of this episode! I think Gianmarco felt rushed because Russell had to leave a few minutes before the the show ended, and he loves Russell soooo much he wanted to end the episode as smoothly but as fast as possible, and run to go give Russell a good best friend goodbye hug 🥲💖
Maybe when polution in our water sources wasn't such a big problem I could see it being preferable to drink water from the source, but nowadays it's definitely not safe.
46:54 : Hey, some of us need to sit quietly in the knitting circle and build community and comfort before we crochet that permanently, massively life altering afghan. We might need to learn how to knit with yarn that isn't all shame yarn. Some shame yarn is a given but it disappears when you find community in your knitting circle. We might be quiet but not when it comes to our politics. We may not be celebrities but we count.
