Welcome to the #MilesAhead review of the wonderfully interesting Polestar 1. There's nothing quite like it and we'll find out why.
PHEVs are usually dull and uninspiring. The Polestar 1 challenges that assertion. It's good looking, fast and well thought out.
In this video we look at:
- price
- options
- exterior walk around
- practicality
- interior layout
- power delivery
- performance
- what it's like to drive
Let us know what you think of the Polestar 1 below.

Very INTERESTING! Hannibal Lecter front grille, Jaguar F type side rear, similarities of the old Aston Martin V8 Vantage rear, mixed with elements of more modern American muscle cars! I like the looks a lot. Engine is its WOW point for me. Hybrid power is about maximum torque, not tree hugging 😉 Polestar have always been pricey, seen many P2's on the road and not enthralled tbh. This is different, a shame it's only left hand drive and, arguably, too expensive. But that's becoming the case for many new cars to be fair. Pzeros again, lol..... Unfortunately it fails for me in weight and driving dynamics on the twisties, due to mainly the weight I guess. Interesting car and review!! 👌

Definitely *interesting*! I really like the looks as well. Combines all those elements so well. It really wasn't a head turner though. Given how unique and rare it is, it drew very little attention. Which I also quite liked about it. Understated, not too flashy. Torque and tree hugging are possible here! The power delivery is remarkable, though. So smooth and consistent. It is eye wateringly expensive, but I've been thinking about it since it's been gone and I've got no idea how you price something like this up. I suspect they're not that fussed about selling them all. Only 1500 available globally, only in left hand drive, it's more of a marketing ploy I think. Here's what we can make... now buy an EV off us. Yeah, definitely not a B-road basher. Although it's not a fish out of water on the twisty stuff. There's no hiding 2300Kg though.
