I have a Policar track and I love it. These cars are "tough" cars where they can take more damage, great for kids and beginners as you've mentioned. The rubber mirrors are a nice touch, I wish more cars had them. These Subarus aren't the greatest performers, but the Slot.It and Policar cars in general are among the best for your money right out of the box.
Try the pioneer slot cars I think you will be surprised. Iv tried them on a scalextric track and wow they are different sounding and driving and grip with power
I would like to reproduce your track over here in the States. Could you you list the pieces of the Scakextric track and a track plan? We could have a trans Atlantic competition.
Yeah the weights are relevant indeed, consider the polycar has two occupants in the cab its nice and light, I too was alerted to the weight of the other brand after acquiring 4 new ones and there handling was pathetic compared to my entry level scalextric cars, the weight difference I could tell just by lifting them, I feel they make the bodies too thick which adds to "top heavy" weight
Prices of these Policar Cars since Pandemic, transport shortages & Brexit Import duty increases are now far more expensive sadly. The F1 Cars have gone up around £12 to £15 to import. If you cans still get them from suppliers in UK before import increases you are lucky. Policar Monoposto F1 contemporary cars are excellent to race and you can get livery decals from good Spanish & British suppliers of most major f1 car teams. Highly Recommended
I just got two of these with my policar brz drift set. Not the fastest things in the world.... About 2 seconds slower then my scalextric cars on my home track
I take bodies off and test the chassis on track and do lap times, and handling tests, corner speed etc, pop bodies on then do same and regretfully the "C" brand just dont perform well, bodies on
No Carrera Go is 1:43 and these 1:32. You can run 1:32 on Carrera go track but not properly, I have tried it 😂. Either get Carrera 1:32 track or Scalextric.
