I hope you are not talking about the formations in the video. I don't know the exact location or event but there is a sing "Sushi" written in cyrilic so it looks like this was possibly somewhere in Belarus / Russia / Ukraine area. The "militia" (police) there or special anti-riot units in Belarus and ruSSia are thughs, serving authoritarian dictators. I'd rather supportthe protesters there.

This riot/protest footage is from Ukraine 2014, during the 'Euromaidan' protests (which led to the Ukrainian Civil War/War in Donbas, which in turn led to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine). A bit of history for ya.

It seems to be the Ukrainian Euromaidan revolution in 2013-14, in which the police were indeed quite unhinged. The Berkut special police force were disbanded after the pro-Russian regime was toppled, with allegations of severe brutality including the modification of crowd control weapons into lethal devices. They had a history of torture, kidnapping and other brutality, alongside anti-Cossack and anti-Tatar bigotry, and antisemitism. They still operate in Russian-occupied Crimea.
@@Vadim_Ibragimov i unironically thought you were trolling but i found it, it's a very obscure russian mod that was made back in 2014. it actually does have the hastati pictured as riot police it looks funny. unfortunately it's not avalible anymore. it's very strange to me that some dude would create an overhaul mod for a super old total war game about the Euromaiden riots. very fucking strange
@@goodtime4345 I'm sure, it's still possible to find playable version. I know the developer personally, this crazy guy was continuing development far after 2014. What about the idea of creation of such a mod... Well, people from post-Soviet countries took those events very close to hearts. No wonder somebody decided to somehow recreate them in game
