I was thinking the same! Lots of speculation and think they are key to the pursuit. Sad that real life has become entertainment! I didn't click on this I was texting my sister and computer was choosing for me!
I seen Arkansas do a pit at over 130mph and the car didn't flip! That's why Arkansas police chases aren't long at all and the video comes straight from the dash cam so no news man talking way too much.
@@SooHooSamaSito Yes! I can't believe he lived through that one. It was the craziest one I've ever seen. They don't give you any slack on speeding tickets either. You go a couple of miles over and u get a ticket. I'm in Oklahoma but close to the AR border so I make sure I do the speed limt
They had baby gloves on this guy! They should of took his azz out 45mins ago and drug his azz out of that car as soon as it crashed. I mean they couldn't of been that scared with how they all stood directly behind his car uncovered for 5mins+ smh
In CA has way too many lawyers want to get money from the police actions so the police’s have been tied their hands and little they can do. Not like Arkansas Trooper can quickly end the ridiculous hours long meaningless following the suspect car that happened in CA。😅
Yet another chase that doesn't show (stay) until the END. Showing the arrest of the driver and seeing if there were any other passengers. Like ripping out the LAST page of a story with no complete ending. 😔 Hope that no one is hurt. Thank you law enforcement for all your efforts and time and perseverance.

Reporter, there is a thing called talking too much. you explained over and over about the end of the 605 and what this driver could do. Please let the perp drive the getaway car and go where he wants to, and you just report on where he did go not on where he may or may not go! Limiting the use of the PIT to 35 MPH is crazy...it can be done safely at much higher speeds and it saves lives. Deaths from PIT 30 since 2016...deaths from speeding 30 per day.
@@ggurks Yes, 30 since 2016. 4000 people die from drowning in the U.S. every year. 11258 people died in speeding accidents in 2020. The number of people who died in car accidents averages more than 46,000 yearly. PITs are not a large contributor to accidental deaths.
What is that news guy talking about? He said they have to wait until the vehicle's speed is down around 35mph before they can do the pit?? If that is true then California needs to take some lessons from the Arkansas State Police. lmao!
Well, it seems that in California decisions on how things should be done is to the advantage of the criminal. They have to make sure they don't hurt their feelings.
But the problem is the one doing the talking is not in the Helicopter. he is the setting at the TV station watching the same thing we are. The guy in the helicopter is one of the best commentators and may be a good commentator, but he is not the one I am talking about.
Police pursuits around West Covina are not uncommon at all. For some reason people are either in denial or just ignorant of all the crime that happens around our community, especially on the westside of the community where this is taking place. Nothing new here for the East San Gabriel Valley.
This is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. These cops don't know how to box a car in. Then, the commentators are shocked the guy drives off when they have every opportunity to box him in and they don't take it? It took him accidentally running into a parked car to box him in so he couldn't move. Go watch how the Arkansas State Police does it. They don't mess around.
Yes, it’s so frustrating. Clearly they are under a policy to never have police on 2 sides of the suspect’s car, or anywhere but behind them, to avoid crossfire situations. I’ll bet most of the cops would LOVE to box him in IMMEDIATELY, crossfire or not. So it’s up to the CRIMINAL when this ends.
They need to take lessons from @Arkansasstatepolice. These chases wouldn't be over an hour long. The commentator saying "pit" all the time was driving me nuts, Arkansas has the best pit maneuvers.
Where is grappler? Every police department should have one. I know they are expensive, chase would be safer, faster and more efficient. Have a safe day everybody.
@@janicefarmer2387 I know they are, but they are most effective and less dangerous to other drivers and citizens. Our Government has resources to help our law enforcement agencies. It should be prioritized to save innocent lives, our family, friends and future generation. We will never win a war on crime and drugs.
Or the cowboy cop from the Georgia State Patrol. He pitted while all by himself, jumped over the hood of his car, pulled the suspect out of the window, and lassoed/handcuffed him on top of his cop car! These cops here act like they're even scared to bump a car! I'm not impressed!
I love police chases and you lead the best in entertainment! Have you seen the one of the lady in the motorhome with 2 dogs? I think it was about 10 mos ago in So Cal. It's most exciting!
I remember these two announcers. Now they think they’re at a NFL game and the guy has called me over 100 times that what the odds are that I could get away. And both of them think that we tuned in to listen to the Chase instead of watch it. This is where I like my volume control. MUTE!
I dont understand why they did not give the driver a round of teargas when they had him stopped after the PIT, AND then negotiate after the driver was out of the car. This guy was a lethal weapon with his car and as far as I am concerned was let go needlessly. Sorry for my negativity and its only my personal opinion based upon what I see.

Never try to be a hero during a police chase just pull to the side is a smart thing to say. You can easily make a chase more dangerous for everyone involved.
Big facts he should've clarified for the impressionable (even tho it seems a little obvious) just DO NOT be a hero *during a high speed chase*. DO NOT be a worthless bystander in the crowd when immeadiate action is needed. Don't assume someone else will handle it. Look up Kitty Genovese. Murdered on her suburban front lawn bc ALL the neighbors thought "oh well somebody else has probably called the cops". She was out there for at least 35 minutes.
If you think you can do something during a high speed chase, you're crazy. Want to be a hero? Stay the hell out of the way and let the professionals do their job
@@ericweiler6571 Not saying to get involved but these "professionals" took over an hour to box in a car that only after it hit another car. They had plenty of time to box them in when it hit the light pole and failed to do so. I don't know that professional is the word I would use for them.
If we sit and watch the chase, no matter how long it takes, we really would like to see the end all unfold, no matter how long it takes..It was just getting interesting with the Swat Team showing up..But I will say Law enforcement really earn their pay, and then some..Thank you for all you do..

why do they always ask about gas. scion xB gets 28 mpg highway and that will be little lower with faster speed but with full tank can go over 300 miles so why do they always wonder about running out of gas. it wont use that much more gas because going faster and it is a chase now.
These reporters are not part of the other Fox news teams and they are experts on pursuits. Just another day in liberal LA, this standoff could last for hours, nothing changes.
42:39 cop deliberately slows down to let him get away! 42:50 again, allowing him to proceed 43:00 cop moves out in front, should have boxed him in; need more Reality TV!. 48:55 now they box him in, time to end the Reality Tv Show! 1:16:38 another half hour of wasted time, half the police force out making overtime doing nothing. The cops can be so stupid he was creating a smokescreen that would literally give them the chance to pounce on him Some departments literally are scared out of their wits and play it way too safe if you pull someone over and if they got right on top of them immediately versus waiting 20 minutes before acting the longer way gives that person in that car longer to get prepared for something just my thoughts
