Recently BLS took out the option for booking pickup and drop off, but if you contact the BLS via phone number on the website, they'll share a link and setup the pickup for you. Thanks.

Thanks for the video. but the process is such bs. now you pay 124$ for pickup and delivery+35$ for demand draft+ get a 2x2 photo. spend all that money and time and then the processing time is, mind you, "minimum" 8 weeks now.

1) Are we only self-attesting the passport and address proof copy? 2) Do we need to self-attest all pages of the passport or just the front page photocopy?

Agar hame khud hi drop karna hai application to fir b pickup and drop off dena hoga? 3. I think sort registered address pe hi ho sakta hai but best to call bls and confirm, Khud aap bls centre pe jaa ke kar sakte ho the whole process but online ke liye u need pick and drop

Hi Sofia, thank you for this informative video! I have a question, would the PCC be considered valid even after six months if you left Canada to visit a different country but not India? Or is that you have to not leave Canada at all for the PCC to remain valid?

They do provide a waterproof envelope for all the docs, but I would recommend to put them all in one envelope seal it and then put in the purolator envelope

Hi bls keeps updating their rules and it varies from location to location, for my PCC it was not required to send the original passport however if they hv asked u to send the original passport i would recommend doing so

Hi Sofia.. thank you for sharing this video, it was very useful. Meanwhile, I just wanted to know understand: 1) If i can directly go to the Purolator hub and drop off my documents as it is very close by to my place. 2) Will the contact centre provide the change of address letter format that I need to use if the address in the passport is different from my current one in India? 3) Regarding the amount, it shows as $35.70 here, whereas the amount mentioned by you in the video is $41 change. Will that vary as mine is the vancouver jurisdiction? Looking forward to the answers to these questions please! 🙏 Thank you!

Hi yes u can go to purolator and drop off the documents, the contact centre can guide u on what all needs to be included on the letter , the amount may vary acc to jurisdiction and thus I would recommend to confirm the amount with them

However, I might need to visit India some time next month. I wanted to know if I visit India for a month and come back, will my PCC still be valid? Hi it’s important that u hv someone staying at the address that u give fir PCC , so if no one stays at the passport address u can provide the address where they stay and proof of the address, it can be for your parents doesn’t hv to be yours, write a letter to consulate general explaining this

They will receive the request on their portal , but they will reach out to you on your address but at times they are slow , so best is to tell your family members to go to the local station and let them know a police verification will be coming , once it’s done u can see it on the pass port gov india website, and bls will mail the letter to your address, unfortunately they don’t send email copies

Hey if u can get a walkin Appointment right away that is faster but if u are getting it after a month I would recommend doing online as it will be faster than waiting for a month

The address for letter to consulate will be same as the address given for the jurisdiction coz my jurisdiction is Vancouver but i reside in Alberta ? 2. If my current address in India has changed from my passport address but it is few blocks away from previous address. Do I still need to write the address?

Yeah address it according to your jurisdiction, also call bls and confirm. 2. Yes I would recommend to do that , as the police will go the exact address and incase they are not able to verify they may fail the PCC so better not to take the risk

Hey ! Thanks for the support ! G1 will be ok , I used g1 too , 54 days should be good however ask your family members to talk to the local police station as sometimes they can be careless and not work on it ,talking to them and chai paani ke paise speeds up the process , also going in person reduces the time by a week as that is the time it takes usually for bls to submit your application after u hv mailed them

@@sofiaincanada Hey Sofia, one more question, the price breakup wasn't clear to me, the website states that: Postal Applications: Kindly Provide a Demand Draft/Money order only in favor of BLS International Services Canada Inc., which includes Passport fee + consular fee + BLS Service charges + Return courier fees, to send back your processed application. So where do I the exact amount? also is it necessary that I need to drop the package the day i get my DD issued from the bank? or would be it be ok if I get the DD in advance and then drop the package the next day? Hello, I recieved my PCC Dec 2023 (4months Back) within this period I went back to India in Jan 2024 for a month. I have recieved ITA, Is it still valid for PR. Some are saying get a new one while some are saying old one still valid. Very confused about it.

I took around 5 weeks for me , ask your parents to check regularly with the local police station, and keep checking for updates on the passport seva india website

Hello Sofia, Great video. The address in my passport is not valid anymore. My new address is updated in my Indian drivers license. I have 2 questions: 1. While filling the application, do I need to enter the address from the passport or the new address ? 2. Regarding the new address, do I need to email the consulate general at Toronto or write them a physical letter that can be sent with the rest of the documents ? Thanks !!

Thanks a lot ! Enter the address where u have family members who can complete the verification from local police station on your behalf, so the new address will be apt .attach a letter to consulate general of Toronto explaining this and also attach a copy of the drivers license or any other id proof which has the address

Hi u just put it in a regular envelope and when bls comes for pick up they will get the special envelope, the PCC will be mailed to u , no need to send any envelope

That’s perfectly ok if u no longer live at the passport address or someone else is living there , in that case mention the address as a diff address where any of your family members live, provide their address proof doc and write the letter as shown in the video , i hv explained it in detail in the video as someone else was living at my passport address so I gave my parents address

Hi this may be because the wrong BLS centre is selected , enter your post code and check which BLS center you fall under , if you are still getting the error call on the phone number provided on the website that i hv shown in the video they can also arrange pick up and drop over the phone

Yeah that can fasten up the process by abt a week as it can take up to a week for them to start processing your docs after u courier them , but going to the office can at times be c time consuming so see if u can book an appointment

Hi, I urgently need advise. My father's name in my Passport is his surname followed by his first name eg: Kumar Mathew Varghese where Kumar Mathew is his surname and First name is Varghese. That is the his real name too. In his Passport (expired Passport which he hasn't renewed) his given name is Varghese and surname is given as Kumar Mathew. So when I filled the application for PCC I filled it accordingly but now that I have submitted the PCC application and taken a printout I noticed that the Passport seva kendra software has automatically given my father's given name first and surname name last. Now in the printout my father's name is Varghese Kumar Mathew which is incorrect. The pickup date for my PCC documents with the courier company is on Wednesday. How should I correct this. Should I raise another PCC application and give his given name as surname and surname as given name so that in the printout his name will read Kumar Mathew Varghese.

Hi I would recommend attaching a letter with the documents explaining the difference in the names, it should work ideally , if not they will return the documents and send u an email ! U can file another PCC in that case
