Hi Friends Happy Monday !
A big thank you to you guys for subscribing, commenting, liking, disliking, whatever you do, I appreciate you SO MUCH! Words cannot express how happy I am that we have found some common interests here on youtube. Sharing our love for makeup and our INTEREST in true crime. I always say we like or enjoy, true crime but really what I mean is, were interested in it. I dont think anyone ENJOYS these awful stories, at least I hope not. Im rambling. I haven’t slept yet, I pulled an all nighter editing this so sorry if there are lots of mistakes. ANYWAYS, love you guys so much.
I wanted to talk about Mitrice Richardson, I feel like her story is pretty important. Her case got completely dismissed and not taken seriously, WHY?! WHY would they let her leave at 12:30 am without any car, phone, wallet, nothing?!?! Why was she arrested in the first place? Why why why why why. So many why’s and not enough answers here. There is also a LOT more to this story but I just couldn’t fit it in to one video, this one turned out way longer than expected. I will leave some links if you want to further learn about Mitrice’s story.
I hope for nothing but love, peace, closure and forgiveness for everyone involved. Mitrice was so young, so beautiful and had so much ahead of her. I pray for healing and love for the family. I also hope one day they can get some kind of closure. I know that doesnt mean much but , every family deserves closure.

I "think" the deputy who left when she(matrice) left followed her. And then had a tattooed lady try to "be nice and help" Matrice by offering her a ride, which is how she ended up in the man's back yard. And then she was sold in to prostitution and when they realized she was still being recognized killed her. And disposed of her body where she was 'last seen'

This is part of the reason why I have almost no faith in the US justice system. It infuriates me how no one was held accountable and this young girl wasn’t just held in holding cell overnight as the PD stated they were going to do. Allegedly. That usually happens. In my town there where a bunch of people that started showing schizophrenic traits while in college, so people started to say 'you shouldn't study too hard or you will become that way'.

I was a juvenile schizophrenic, It stopped about when I was 14 and she definetly seemed to have something wrong, maybe paranoid schizophrenia or just paranoia. The things she was saying about earth hit home because they seem like delusions which is a part of schizophrenia, I had delusions about aliens and earth being a simulation etc. This is such a sad and horrible case

***Just for record*** I’m prior law enforcement, if someone is missing for ANY NUMBER OF MINS, HOURS, or even SECONDS, if someone you know or love is gone when they aren’t USUALLY gone, or if you have a bad feeling, if anything is out of place and you have concerns, it is YOUR right as an American citizen per FBI standards to make a missing persons report regardless of the time period they have been missing. The police, sheriff deputy’s or dispatchers might tell you you need to wait but that’s BS they just don’t want to deal with the NCIC paperwork because it’s a lot. Again! If you have a bad feeling and someone is MIA you CAN make a missing persons report you just have to be persistent in the fact that you want to do it.

as a dispatcher, I fully agree with this... please please please call as soon as you feel that it is unusual/necessary, answer any questions that the dispatcher/communications officer has (even if it seems to you as the questions they are asking don't matter... as it is important to starting a response, and getting the report started), and request to speak to an officer about a missing person... it is crucial to finding them safe! it is a lot of paper work... not hard but a lot, and anyone who is in law enforcement/public safety is (well should be) more than willing to help you...

This case is sooo messy. It makes me so angry no matter how many times I hear about it. It pisses me off that people abuse their power like this and don't take their jobs seriously. This is also exactly why being endlessly vocal about mental illness is so, so important. The world needs more empathetic people because we're losing that day by day.

They knew the girl was not well, and the chief choose to ignore it. Also, they told the mother they would call her and they didn't. This wasn't ignorance, this was on purpose.

I agree! This was 110% a cover-up by the police, it disgusts me! Not all police are that way, but the ones that are make it harder for us to trust police men and women in general. Also, mental illness needs to be addressed immediately when signs are seen! :(

I think due to the strange posing of her body and the fact no animals had gotten to it implies she was killed and stored in a confined space where rigor mortis set in and then dumped later on. Also, her neck bones conveniently missing? The specific bones that would indicate proof of strangulation? Hmmm…

I think the police definitely knew something to hide so much evidence and neglect so much of the investigative aspect of her case. I unfortunately think one of the officers killed her, maybe the one who left at the same time as her, and so all the other officers would obviously cover for him

I feel like that deputy that walked out after her knows more. He probably did it and the sheriff department is covering for him. He might have even helped her get released at midnight because he wanted to do something. There’s so much more to this

I also believe they had something to do. I already have a full story in my head. I think they kidnapped her "recruited her" for prostitution taking advantage of her state and then killed her when they felt the others were getting closer to finding her; planted her body in that canyon, hid clothes and body parts to avoid evidence, had the forensic guy on their side to rule "undetermined cause of death" and everything else. That's why they lied to her mom on the release time, why they denied surveillance footage and her erratic behaviour, etc etc etc.

I actually wrote to the L A Times back then to complain about Geoffrey's Malibu & Lost Hills SD. Too many things went awry here sadly. Mitrice's Grandmom was going to pay the bill. That restaurant did not have to call the cops. Lost Hills should have waited to release her until her Mom was there to pick her up. Sounds like schizophrenia. She'd be in the right age range to get that. I have anxiety and depression and also studied psychology. I found that knowing a lot about the mind and physical brain made me paranoid and think I was developing many mental problems. Maybe something like this happened to her. In the end I moved away from psychology and went to administrative science.

The unreplied love for that girl could've been the trigger for an episode also, the using of weed. It so sad, she had so much energy. That with the wallet is ridiculous they could've brought her to the car and she could've told them where they should look. Also, they knew her behaviour was strange but the didn't want to deal with it. So many mistakes made.

I kind of agree with your theory, schizophrenia iS characterized by jumbled words and though she seemed kind of paranoid i guess i would feel more confident in this theory if she was reported saying someone was after her or gave away delusions of grandeur, as paranoia in schizophrenia is usually characterized by feeling as if someone is after you. She also gave no signs of inappropriate emotion/flat affect so idk. Could it maybe also be she got into some bad drugs after her fallout with the girl she had a crush on or she got involved in it during her shady interviews and this caused her to spiral into that mess? Either way, poor girl. If only maybe someone had followed her to her car at the restaurant and monitored her as she looked for her wallet all of this would have been resolved.

fe fe pretty sure theres a name to characterize when this happens (people starting to self diagnose after they learn). Honestly you just have to be real with yourself and learn not to get super scared about developing something because everyone has certain qualities about themselves that arent the best or can be extreme sometimes but its not considered a disorder till you meet x amount of symptoms after a certain time period usually, and/or your displayed symptoms must be unjustifiable, maladaptive to yourself, disturbing/atypical. It would be very apparent probably. At the end of the day psych is rlly interesting just dont worry too much about it unless you really believe you or someone else is in danger
