Tourons in the arches is totally unacceptable! Some of those miscreants came away with smirks that made it clear they knew what they were doing. The disrespect infuriates me!

I’m also fascinated by the range of poses adopted by tourists before the photo can be taken😂The turning sideways a little to show off the silhouette, The knee bending (to resemble the horses stance?) the very irritating hair tossing and pulling it over the shoulder the last minute pout and many more - I like the ones who just stand naturally and a short time without needing to put on a silly supermodel pose or arrange the hair some of the men are as bad!

I remember watching a video of tourists gathering in the arches to get out of the rain. The poor guardsman chose not to shout because there was also a baby in a stroller. You could see him clenching his sword.

The horse is a part of the guard and also on duty they are not therapy for the people emotional issues. Why do they let the people so near the horse, touching and playing with them?

That trooper is a cutie. It's nice to see you have such a good rapport with Corporal of Horse plus some of the troopers and guards.

The horse's mane may Look fluffy, John, but in actual fact their mane and tail is quite course. Not soft at all. Many years ago furniture was stuffed by horse tail hairs. Made for a hard and uncomfortable seat!

What sensible tourist would go to London and not carry an umbrella?

John, you mentioned before that INDIGO passed away & now 2/7/24, Wednesday, you named INDIGO as part of the LG’s horse on duty. What’s going on? The horse with the prominent gray eyebrows is the gorgeous, sweet & gentle INVADER! 🥰

@LondonCityWalks John, you are always talking about horse height therefore i have an idea. Get a black grease pencil and a measure tape and put a small black line on the corner columns of the boxes to measure the horse standing there. 17 hands=5'8" and 18 hands=6'0". Measurement is at the withers where the base of the neck meets the spine. There's a hump there at the top of the shoulders and the troopers usually hold the reins just above that area. The mark will not even be noticed and the rain will not erase it. Just wait til HC is closed. There will be your guage for determining the height for your videos!

I Do have a soft spot for the gorgeous old gentleman Invader with his bushy grey professor eyebrows , I want to reach out and comb them , ok so I'm going daft in my old age 😁. So if you ever see a dotty old lady with a comb when Invader is on duty , it's just me , be kind 😂😂😂

I always carry Umbrella with me in my backpack. Tote do make wonderful umbrellas that are small in size to fit your bag and opens easily in a big size coverage. I never leave home without my tote umbrella. Sunny or not . This opened to me and i was the only one with a umbrella.
