Do we actually have Sur rons in Canada? I read somewhere that as of 2021, any ebike resembling that of a motorcycle or sitting scooter that is capable of moving without pedal assist now needs a drivers licence . It makes no sense as a regular ebike can be ridden sololy on motor assist when using throttle and it doesn't need a license. Canadian rules regarding ebikes make no sense. An ebike which is controlled by pedal assist but can also have a throttle and has no more than 500 watts, and goes no more than 32 km/hr or 20 miles an hours can be ridden without a license yet if it looks like a motor bike or sitting down scooter it needs to be licensed even if it follows the guide lines of an ebike. Another thing is an ebike or escooter you sit down in must have pedals like any other bike to be legal yet a stand up scooter with no pedals and follows the other guide lines of an ebike is still legal.

I hate going through Pasadena. I always get pulled over for the stupidest thing like changing lanes without using my blinker. Its 3 am in the morning heading east on Colorado and no one was on the street. The only headlights where 1/3 of a mile behind me and it happened to be the police. I moved from the right place to the left to jump on the freeway Before Rosmead and the on ramp is a 1/4 mile away by Tops Burger. Boom... the cops flicked their lights on, pulled me over and asked me "why didn't you use your blinker when switching lanes?" I said, "Theres no one on the street and the only car on it was a half mile back and it happened to be you." He looked around saw no cars and said, "next time use your blinkers." Dont get me started on parking tickets. I swear they have people hiding in the bushes when the meter expires.
I’d love to get into electric bikes. They just don’t have enough range. It’s hard to beat pulling into a gas station and filling up. I’m rocking a Honda Monkey right now.
I bought a surron from Luna a few days ago on preorder, does wearing goggles make a big difference? I bought a cheaper motorcycle helmet about a month ago so I'm just wondering if it's a huge difference if I were to get a dirt bike helmet and goggles vs a motorcycle helmet
