Mayor Ginther, how are Ohio’s gun policies the source of the problem when you say you’ve been able to take record numbers of guns off the street (ie they were illegally obtained and or possessed)? Will legislating guns out of citizens hands stop others who are prohibited from possessing firearms from having them anymore? Why don’t you sit down with the prosecutors in this county and have them stop releasing violent repeat offenders from custody. Secondly, start holding the parents of these minors liable both criminally and civilly for all the chaos they are causing. Lastly, stop painting this event into something that it’s not using terms like “Mass Shooting” to push an agenda. This was not a premeditated shooting perpetrated by an individual with the intent to inflict maximal bodily injury. This was an isolated act of street violence (hence the 4+ shooters at 2:30am) that occurred in a populated area where wealthy people frequent, so you are sounding all the alarms.
Okay, you have a very surface level understanding of how things work. I agree with most of it but it’s definitely superficial. What I don’t agree with is blanketly holding parents liable. Case by case but even then, it’s hard to tie a parent (legally) to the crime of a minor…and you would have to take giant leaps for the law to work that way.
It bout the parents the police is the police just what the are . So it's time for parents too step up kuz it's youngin that's doing all reckless stuff like they playing granad theft auto or something . We put more programs in the community too give the kids something too do, more basketball late night basketball league,boxing put down the guns find out who got problems with each other and less go too the boxing gym. I bet we slow a lot of this down.....
