I wish Monkey World was more famous and shown to more people around the world because believe it or not some people still condone animal abuse and like to troll on the internet. You'd think it's common sense to not take a picture with an animal being forced to pose but people do it. Like that one oranguatan at Safari Park in Thailand in need of rescue.
Unfortunately too many top primates , (humans ) think it is acceptable to exploit animals as we supposedly have dominion over them. Macaque’s are arguably the most maligned primates on the planet. 100 thousand of them are murdered in research facilities every year. They are harassed and exploited at the temples and troop sites and stolen from their mothers in droves for RU-vid and other views where babies are bathed - diapered- bottle fed and repeat. They are always in trouble for tearing up paper, picking on other monkeys, etc. I think the most viewed are where they are positioned at attention and mercilessly scolded for being a wild animal. The flinching and looks of despair in their eyes is heartbreaking. Another horror show happens when the babies butts are pulled up and slathered with Betadine. They scream and scream in pain grabbing at their behinds to no avail as this caustic substance is smeared on them. Then, when they are no longer cute they are dumped back into the Forrest where they have no social skills or understanding of the hierarchy. When will humans evolve enough to stop exploiting animals. It’s very heartbreaking.
I’m so glad Allison and the team rescue these sweet babies they do not need to be kept as pets and enclosed and neglected it’s awful !! Humans need to stop this ! So Thankful for monkey world and Dao Ten and others who help these sweet primates live and thrive wonderfully ❤
Yeah but if people are going to have me shouldn't be able to stealing from them they should educate them you should have to take a course if you're going educate people hands on
So sad! I have never seen a capuchin without ANY TAIL fur, so awful to no give her proper heat, food and water, glad you are there Alison to save the day and get proper care for her. ❤❤❤
The way the Marmoset parents work together to take care of their little ones is really amazing to me. Especially when they had four at one time! They both seem to be very attentive and loving. Considering the fact they didn’t grow up seeing the ways of their world it’s pretty remarkable. Humans could learn a thing or two!
seeing how chick lived and hearing she could be 15/37 was sad thinking she has lived like that all theses' years...so glad she will be loved and have a family now...
We've seen more than one person keeping primates, that have personal mental health issues. The person who had Chic was likely on the fringe and should not have had any pets in her care. Keeping animals of any kind needs to be viewed as a privilege not a right. There needs to be assessment and licensing for anyone wanting a pet.
Bronchitis??? Poor Chook....I had bronchitis 3 years in a row, IT SUCKS!!!! You feel like your own body is going to suffocate you!! The only thing that would help is an inhaler or breathing treatment. I wonder how MW will handle treating Chook. Very excited for the next episode to find out!!!!
I just said this to my daughter! Such a well put together show 😊 and of course, I love the monkeys!! I wish they were at least an hour lol but I could handle 3-4 hours TBH 😅😅😊😊😊😊
Its so sad people take these beautiful babies and dont know how to care for them i wish we could put them in a filthy cold cage and see how they like it. Thank you so much Monkey 🐒 world for saving all these beautiful babies
Why would anyone that obviously didn't take care of an animal, refuse to let that animal be taken to a place where it can be properly cared for and given a better life? That poor capuchin was definitely not cared for nor fed properly. What kind of life did that poor capuchin have there?
And there are viewers that have actually defended the owner. Smh. How can anyone defend neglect of an animal? Sheer ignorance to the main fact that these are wild animals, they are not pets like a dog or cat. If monkeys have never been domesticated by now after thousands of years, I really don't believe they ever will be. Just amazing there are people that think they will be the one to do so. What they create is a mentally, socially, psychologically and more times than not, physically damaged monkey that may or may not be able to be rehabilitated. 😞
Im not gonna lie, I almost puked when the chimps were eating their own snot lol. Grossssss lol. So glad Alison got to rescue that monkey. Its living conditions were disgusting and you can tell her skin isn't in the best condition. She doesn't have any hair on her tail. But she is safe now and will live out the rest of her life with a family and friends of her own and a nice clean and warm home with lots of outdoor space to run and play. I pray that the UK will wake up and Stop allowing people to own wildlife.
Because the last everyone knew there were four babies. The episode title is not the right place or the right way to announce two babies died. If the title said "two babies" people would be confused or think it was an error since they haven't been told about the deaths yet.
Stricter laws for having a wild animal in the home. It is crazy that it is allowed anyway. These animals suffer . Total animal abuse and cruelty . Why cant the authorities see that?
I don't know what it is about her that keeps me in the I don't like Allison category.? I get the work she does with the monkeys are to give them a better life but there is just something that keeps me fare back .
My thoughts are the people getting a monkey for a pet have no idea what to do with one, once they have one they realize a monkey is a wild animal and not a pet, so they just leave them in cages, especially when they start getting older and aggressive. Then they start trying to figure out what to do with the poor monkey. Start calling rehabilitation centers and sanctuaries only to find most have waiting lists. And just wait til one has an opening. Or they resell the poor thing to, well, you can take your pick on this answer.
Unless I missed something, nothing was said in the episode to indicate the parents did anything wrong. In fact they talked about how good a job they had done, that despite being captives most of their lives their natural instincts kicked in. Hand raising is only done as a last resort. It's always better for the animals to be fed and raised by their mother/parents, by their own kind. The staff watch all monkeys carefully and especially four new babies. They didn't remove any for hand raising, so they didn't see any reason to do that, another indication the parents were doing a good job.
You're just not even considering the fact that someone can spread their illness before they even know they're sick themself. Haven't you ever gone to work thinking you were ok, or maybe just tired, but as the day progressed you became sick?
You know I’ve never thought of this channel as mean and unjust until this video that cappy is cared for very well . The actual floor was very clean and that was no rotten melon . She just didn’t like it I clean my enclosures deep clean on the weekend I work so all the time I have is too feed water and spot clean . Then it’s announced that we don’t care if the owner has paper work or not we’re taking the girl no matter what ! If that was my monkey I’d be sitting in my lawyers office . Period that was a brutal experience for the owner and the lil girl . Lots of lost respect for this channel to ignore the rights the licensing and the unprofessional and lack of representation to monkey world I have worked at a couple of zoos . And that encloser is better then most monkey enclosers clean behind where public can not see and they get deep cleaned weekly . Bad voodoo if you become a tyrant and take what someone has licensed too keep !
And btw, it isn't fair to a wild animal to be kept in a cage alone for years. What kind of life is that for an animal that should be living wild and free. Smh. I suppose you see no problem with buying wild animals for selfish needs to be called a pet. This wasn't in the best interest of that capuchin and I'll stand behind Allison every time she takes a monkey out of the hands of a human that has robbed one of its life. Every time.
@@ritamccomas9271 sorry but that animal was captive born … it knows no other life … we don’t know the back stories, that’s a very aged lil lady . Maybe she had a friend that passed away rescently ? No I don’t approve of wild animals caught and then made pets. But I believe in laws that both protect and prevent if she had her current license then why wasn’t she given time it correct the issues I seen her sleep area was dirty and the. Top of the box was dirty but the stone floor was clean the area around the food was clean besides the melon she didn’t like she was not under nourished her tail and groin area were bare but maybe it had been shaved or the monkey itself didn’t like all the fur that would get covered in crap 💩? But now it’s been removed to s forgien place she’s not with her human that was probably her human mom ! There’s always two ways of seeing everything. Taking a licensed monkey away from someone legally owning a monkey for such very little problems. I promise if you walked into any zoo with monkeys 3-4 days of not deep cleaning the animals inside areas it’d look the same ! And I’ve worked at few zoos that were that way . Your given a schedule and you follow it . A keeper has many responsibilities and lots more enclosures too care for .
@@mikecorvette60 if people would educate themselves on animals before they bought them, they'd learn they are not meant to be 'pets' as they are wild animals. Wild animals need to remain in their habitat living wild and free and not at someone's house in a cage.
Monkey World's mission is NOT to help people keep wild animals as pets. No one with the animal's welfare in mind would do that. Their mission is to rehabilitate and offer sanctuary to animals that have been abandoned, abused, neglected, retired from circuses or research facilities, or trafficked into the illegal pet trade, etc. They release some primates back into the wild when both the animal and the available environment meet the conditions necessary for survival. However most animals they take in will need care for the rest of their lives, and Monkey World offers the best care (physically, mentally, socially, psychologically, environmentally) and the most freedom they possibly can, greatly improving the quality of life compared to where they were before. Also, Allison/Monkey World didn't steal the capuchin. The SPCA and police were called to investigate the monkey's well being and to decide if it needed to be removed. Having a license is not the only requirement, the animal must be cared for properly, according to their laws. Allison was there to take custody in the event the monkey was removed. In other episodes they've mentioned there will sometimes be court proceedings to decide if an animal should stay with an owner or go to Monkey World so that is a possibility in this case too.
